Absolutely all Glock pistols in one compact review

Absolutely all Glock pistols in one compact review

Since the 80s, the Austrian ]Glock GmbH,[/anchor] has produced thirty-three models of polymer pistols that have become popular all over the world. So what makes each individual model special?

We bring to your attention a brief description of all models of pistols bearing the “Glock” engraving on the barrel.

Glock 17 Gen4 MOS

Let's start with the new products, namely the MOS line. Every year they expect some kind of “bomb” from the Glock company - and this year the fans were not disappointed again: the company supplemented the MOS line with two models G17 and G19.

Previously, shooters tried in every possible way to independently modernize the bolt housing of this model, trying to install a collimator sight on it. But now the manufacturer himself has started installing mounts for these sights and, as hard as it may be to believe, has taken the G17 models to a new level.

Glock 19 Gen4 MOS

The company's second most popular model also did not remain aloof from the increasingly popular red dot sights. Today, the convenience of collimator sights is appreciated not only by participants in various competitions - armed citizens also vote in favor of this device.

Glock 19 Gen4 MOS

Models chambered for 9x19mm

Models chambered for this cartridge are the most popular all over the world. The diameter of the cartridge allows the use of capacious magazines, and the recoil force is one of the softest in the category of service weapons.

Glock 43: Everyday Backup Plan

Glock has a variety of handguns in a variety of sizes, whether it's the G17 or the compact G26. Those who wanted the smallest Glock bought the G42 chambered in .380 ACP. But this ammunition did not suit everyone, and soon the company released the 9mm G43 model.

Thanks to the single-stack 6-round magazine, its width does not exceed 26 mm, which means it is perfect for concealed carry. In addition, it has all the distinctive characteristics of “adult” models, including the Safe Action trigger.

Glock 43

Glock 17: Source

This model started the "Glock revolution". Today it is the most common pistol among law enforcement agencies around the world.

Glock 17

Glock 19: Workhorse

A more compact version of the G17 and the favorite pistol of the 40,000-strong army of New York police officers and the UN security service. Due to its light weight and size, it once replaced revolvers chambered for the .38 ACP cartridge.

Glock 19

Glock 34 Gen4 MOS

This model, known as the "Practical/Tactical", also received the ability to mount red dot sights. This means that a pistol that has already won all the major shooting competitions has opened up new categories in which it is sure to win.

Glock 34 Gen4 MOS

Glock 34: A model with sporting ambitions

The same G17, but with a slightly elongated barrel. Comparable in size to the M1911 Government.

Glock 34

Glock 26: Bodyguard

In size and weight, this model is comparable to the snub-nosed revolvers chambered for the .38 ACP cartridge, which it replaced. In addition, it uses a more powerful cartridge, and the magazine holds 11 rounds.

An ideal backup option for those whose main weapon is the G17 or G19. Like the full-size models, it also features a dual recoil spring, a relocatable magazine release button on the other side of the frame, and a textured grip for a secure grip.

GLOCK Ges.mbH A-2232 Deutsch-Wagram AUSTRIA

In 1982, the first-born in a new family of pistols entered service with the Austrian army - the 17-round Glock 17 9x19 caliber, which won an international competition against eminent rivals. From that moment on, the victorious march of a number of concepts and design solutions began, reflected in all subsequent models. True, not everyone was delighted with the new pistol. Skeptics mainly opposed the use of plastic in the design, they say, the pistol is short-lived, the registration number on it can easily be changed, it can be secretly carried past the metal detector at the airport... None of these fears were confirmed and did not prevent the new pistol and all its subsequent variants from gaining popularity worldwide recognition.

The most important design feature of the pistol is the Safe Action system - an integrated safety system that consists of three independently operating automatic fuses. All three safeties stop firing when the trigger is pulled and resume when the trigger is released after firing. This solution has proven itself to be the simplest, fastest and safest and allows the shooter, solving a tactical problem in an extreme, stressful situation, to concentrate entirely on shooting. The system does not allow a shot to be fired without the trigger being pulled and is therefore insensitive to gun drops or other shocks or shocks. In addition, its performance is maintained in the temperature range from -40°C to +70°C.

Trigger safety

The trigger safety locks it, preventing it from moving backward spontaneously, and stops its action if the shooter continues to press the trigger, deliberately overcoming the resistance of the safety. If the shooter decides not to shoot, he simply needs to stop pressing the trigger. After the shot, the safety automatically resumes its action when the force is removed from the trigger.

Combat fuse

This fuse prevents the firing pin from moving forward. When the trigger is pulled, a special protrusion on the trigger rod lifts the safety up and releases the channel along which the firing pin moves. If the shooter refuses to shoot and stops pressing the trigger, the safety automatically returns to its original position under the action of a spring. The same thing happens after the shot.

Shockproof fuse

The rear end of the trigger rod is cross-shaped and one side of the “cross” lies in the figured window of the bolt frame in the upper position. When the weapon is ready to fire, a special protrusion on the back of the firing pin engages a tooth on the end of the trigger rod. When you press the trigger, the trigger rod moves back and cocks the mainspring. At the last stage of movement, the trigger rod rests against the disconnector and lowers to the lower position, the firing pin is released and moves forward under the action of the mainspring. During the operating cycle, a notch on the inner wall of the bolt moves and disengages the trigger rod from the disconnector, allowing it to rise to the upper position under the action of the trigger spring, and the tooth on its end again engages the protrusion on the end of the firing pin. As the trigger rod moves forward, the firing pin spring returns to its normal state and the safety resumes its action.

Another feature of the Safe Action system is that to fire two or more shots in a row, you do not need to fully release the trigger. It is enough to release it until a characteristic click is heard and felt with your finger. At the end of shooting, if there is no force on the trigger, all three safeties resume their action.

Synthetic materials easily tolerate a wide variety of climatic conditions, as well as sudden changes in temperature and humidity. Their anti-corrosion resistance is such that the weapon remains fully operational even after exposure to salty sea water. They retain their color, are not afraid of contact with fuels and lubricants, and are dielectrics. To care for them, soap and water are enough.

The monolithic polymer frame of the pistol is manufactured in one technological cycle, which significantly reduces the cost and speeds up production, while maintaining high accuracy.

The Safe Action system is inherited by the entire family of pistols following the Clock 17 model, regardless of their size and caliber.

In pistols of the same caliber, regardless of frame size, magazines of different capacities are completely interchangeable. For example, the Clock 26 compact pistol can accommodate 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, or 33 round magazines. Needless to say, the same type of ammunition can be used in all models of the same caliber. This is very convenient if, say, a policeman uses two pistols - the main and the spare. Cartridges loaded into the magazine of a spare pistol can, if necessary, be easily and quickly transferred along with the magazine to the main pistol.

A significant number of design parts are also completely interchangeable. This unification ranges from 65 to 94% and eliminates the need to produce a large number of different spare parts for different models.

The family design of Clock pistols helps the user move from one model to another quickly and easily.

All pistols of the Clock family consist of 34 main parts - this is noticeably fewer than other pistol models and significantly simplifies and reduces the cost of both production and maintenance, including repairs.

Partial disassembly and assembly of pistols in the field is carried out in a matter of seconds without any tools at all. For complete disassembly you only need a drift. Some operations may be more convenient to perform with a regular screwdriver and narrow-nosed pliers, but the use of these tools is not at all necessary. It will take an experienced user about a minute to assemble the pistol.

The barrels of Clock pistols use an improved hexagonal rifling, which, thanks to a smooth profile, promotes better placement of the bullet in the barrel, reduces friction, and, therefore, the initial speed and energy of the bullet will be higher. In addition, less sediment is deposited in the bore. Thus, the barrels can withstand hundreds of thousands of shots.

In addition to the already described Safe Action system, the developers have taken additional passive safety measures. Before being released onto the market, each pistol is tested with high-power ammunition that creates an overpressure that is 30% higher than normal. The tests are carried out by a state testing center with the participation of the Austrian Technical University. Research has established that Glock pistols can withstand double pressure without loss of performance. If the pressure exceeds 150-200%, a valve specially provided at the bottom of the chamber is activated. The hot gases that escape from it enter the pistol handle and, depending on the amount of pressure, lead to the ejection of the magazine and/or destruction of the handle in such a way that the shooter’s face remains reliably protected.

The design of the pistols is very ergonomic. The handles of all models are equipped with finger grooves, and the compact models have a thumb rest. The 108° grip angle promotes a more natural hand position when aiming and shooting and increases the likelihood of hitting the target on the first shot, which is very important in a stressful situation. The bolt is equipped with a convenient notch and is made according to a hammerless design. In addition to protecting against dirt getting inside the gun, this shape prevents the weapon from clinging to clothing or a holster.

Particular attention is paid to the strength and wear resistance of metal parts. The barrel and bolt, inside and out, are treated with a special coating called “tenifer”, which has a hardness only slightly inferior to diamond and can only be destroyed with a diamond tool. This coating also provides excellent protection against corrosion. The black color and matte surface of the coating are important tactical properties of the pistol: it does not glare.

The durability of Clock pistols can be judged by the results of tests carried out at the Hirtenberger cartridge factory in Austria. One Clock 17 pistol fired 348,210 rounds of various ammunition. After this, only the main and return springs needed to be replaced. "Clock" guarantees the performance of pistols for at least 40,000 rounds, subject to compliance with factory recommendations for the selection of ammunition. In fact, this is a lifetime warranty on the pistol. Another example of survivability comes from testing conducted by NATO. In this case, 10,000 shots were fired in a row from the test pistol over a period of 4-5 hours. Before and after testing, all parts of the pistol were carefully measured. After firing 10,000 rounds in a row there were no signs of wear. There is information from specific users who have fired 100,000 and even 200,000 rounds of ammunition from their pistols.

Glock tests

:

Test 1. In ice.
The pistol with a loaded magazine was frozen in an ice cube for 60 days.
After that, he was removed from the ice and 100 shots of 10 rounds were fired from the same magazine. Results: 100 shots - 0 failures. Test 2. In the mud.
The gun was lubricated, closed and immersed in mud of varying consistency: dry sand, clay, wet river sand.
After each such procedure, repeated 5 times, 100 shots were fired. Results: 500 shots - 0 failures. Test 3. In silt.
The gun was completely wetted with water and immersed in river mud.
After shaking the gun once with the remaining sludge, 10 series of 10 shots were fired. Results: 100 shots - 0 failures. Test 4. In water.
The fully loaded pistol was immersed in water to a depth of 1 meter for 1 hour, then the pistol was removed from the water and 10 series of 10 shots were immediately fired.
Results: 100 shots - 0 failures. Test 5. Chemical cleaning of grease.
The pistol was disassembled in the field and dry cleaned of grease using a special compound.
After assembly, 100 shots were fired. Results: 100 shots - 0 failures. Test 6. Mechanical load.
The loaded pistol was placed on the coarse gravel. After that, a heavy truck drove over it. The truck was then left parked with its wheel on the gun for an hour. After this, 100 shots were fired. Results: 100 shots - 0 failures.

All tests were carried out in the specified sequence with the same pistol and one magazine.

The production of metal parts, primarily bolt housings and barrels, is located in Ferlach. Billets in the form of rolled metal are supplied here from three European suppliers and stored in a warehouse in the quantities necessary for uninterrupted production throughout the year. In this way, the company insures itself against possible market vicissitudes. Accounting and control - a principle well known to us - is in full effect here. After cutting the rolled stock into pieces of the required length, each of them is strictly taken into account and, if in the process of further processing such a piece is considered unsuitable for further use, it will be rejected, seized and literally mutilated so that there is no possibility of selling it “to the wrong” or the error is passed on further along the technological chain.

All metalworking complexes are fully automated and controlled by computers. The machines are serial, well-known brands, for example Mitsubishi, but the cutting tools are unique, made in-house. This is the only way the company can satisfy its highest quality requirements.

Automatic control and measuring systems look impressive. The robotic manipulator itself takes the part, selects and grabs the required measuring probe and inspects ALL parts and all sizes, in contrast to our customary selective inspection. That is why 100% interchangeability of parts is guaranteed without any adjustment.

If a person is involved in a technological operation, he has an individual stamp with his own number and is obliged to put it on every part that passes through his hands. If a defect is subsequently discovered, then someone responsible will be found.

Finished parts are coated with a unique Tenifer composition, which gives their surface unsurpassed mechanical strength, comparable in hardness to diamond, and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to this coating, the rubbing surfaces and the barrel bore are practically not subject to wear, which, in fact, makes it possible to officially guarantee 40,000 shots, and in fact the eternal life of the pistol - over 300,000 shots.

The production of all plastic parts, casting and stamping of some metal parts and final assembly are organized in Deutsch Wagram.

The principles are the same as in Ferlach: accounting, control and independent production of cutting tools and injection molds.

The workshops are quite free and perfectly clean. Each employee has his own personal desk. What struck us: some had ashtrays on their desks, some had bronze lighters and packs of cigarettes. Trust in staff? Or respect? Or are they just saving time on smoke breaks? Naturally, in addition to ashtrays, there is a personal computer on each table. And if some part is checked, then on its screen you can immediately read the results for at least 16 measurement positions and a summary of whether it is suitable or not. Under the ceiling are one and a half meter cubes made of synthetic bright yellow fur to absorb noise. Not only useful but also beautiful.

Here, in a specially equipped shooting range, mandatory test shooting from each pistol is carried out. The requirement is to provide a group with a diameter of 10 cm from 25 m. Here we were able to test all models of all calibers from 9x19 Para to 45 ACP! According to the most conservative estimates, each of us fired more than three hundred shots. The shooting range floor was literally covered with a layer of shell casings. Only when firing 375 Mag cartridges. the recoil was sensitive, and the 45 ACP, even in the Subcompact pistol, was very easy to perceive. If the first series of 45 ACP cartridges from the Subcompact was shot while holding the pistol with both hands, then the second was tried with one hand, and this did not significantly worsen the results. There were no even slight painful sensations in my hand after such intense shooting. A rare event. Factory testers fire two, two and a half thousand shots a day and do not bandage their hands or use gloves. Amazing shooting comfort!

Each pistol ready for delivery to the customer has an electronic “dossier” containing comprehensive information that allows it to be identified in almost any situation, regardless of how much time has passed since its release.
The individual number on the bolt, body and barrel is stamped and, due to the profound change in the structure of the metal, cannot be completely destroyed. Microscopic analysis will always make it possible to read it. Of course, there are other identification methods, which are a company secret and were developed in constant and close cooperation with law enforcement agencies in more than 60 countries where Glock pistols are adopted for service. About the Glock pistol
Andrey Novikov 2:5080/44:

Austrian company Glock A.G. Previously, it was engaged in the production of knives and entrenching tools. In 1983, she won a competition for the best pistol model for the Austrian army and received a government order for the supply of 25 thousand units. Her Glock pistol gained a reputation as a simple and reliable weapon and was adopted into service in addition to Austria, in the Norwegian army, in some units of NATO forces, as well as in a number of police forces and security services. In addition to the basic model, the company produces several modifications under numbers 17L, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, differing in size, magazine capacity, fire mode and cartridge type.

The pistol has gained enormous popularity both among the above-mentioned forces and troops, but also among the US civilian population for its reliability, ease of maintenance and ease of mastering shooting skills. Available for cartridges: 9PAR, 10 mm Auto, 40S&W and 45ACP.

Let's consider the Glock 22 pistol. It operates on the principle of using recoil energy with a short barrel stroke, using a reduction in the barrel using a Browning cam. The trigger system used in many modern pistols uses a firing pin instead of a trigger. The most significant innovation is the polymer used in the production of the frame, trigger and magazine. Using plastic instead of metal is most advantageous, if only because turning work is not required during processing. This allows you to significantly reduce the cost of the product, which is a primary goal in production. The polymer has a number of other advantages. It is very strong, which is once again confirmed by the high reliability of Glocks. Especially the frame is less susceptible to metal fatigue and, as a result, the appearance of cracks characteristic of pistols with lightweight frames made of alloys. Another advantage of the polymer is that it is not susceptible to rust or contamination when worn in a holster. The polymer is lightweight, helping to make the gun lighter and thereby increasing the magazine capacity. Finally, the polymer eliminates additional pads on the handle, keeping the dimensions of the latter within reasonable limits. The magazine is also made of polymer, reinforced on the inside with a steel strip. The Glock 22, with 15 rounds in the magazine, was until recently the most multi-shot 40S&W pistol. The barrel and bolt are machined from steel, while most other parts are obtained by stamping.

Trigger. Patented SAFE ACTION trigger system. Attempts to combine a trigger and safety have already been made by many companies, but Glock AG has most successfully implemented this idea. The first noticeable innovation of this system is the internal passive fuse of the filament. At the moment when the internal bolt completes inserting the cartridge into the chamber, the safety partially cocks the firing pin. When the shutter is closed, the striker is automatically placed on the stopper, the switch of which is built into the front part of the trigger. In order to remove the stopper, a pressure of 5 mm is required. At the final stage, the path of the hook is also very short - only 8 mm.

The bolt stop is made of pressed metal sheet, located on the left side of the frame, just above the trigger. It leaves the bolt open when the magazine is empty and closes it when pressed. It is surprisingly easy to operate, despite the fact that it is small compared to the levers on other pistols. The magazine release button is a push-type, made of polymer and located on the left side of the frame immediately behind the trigger. It is tensioned enough to avoid arbitrary removal of the magazine from the handle. The pistol disassembly button is located on both sides of the frame just above the front of the safety clip. With its help, the gun can be disassembled easily and simply.

Disassembly:

  1. Remove the magazine and make sure the chamber is empty.
  2. Press the trigger to release the firing pin.
  3. Pull the shutter 4 mm. and holding it in this position, press the double-sided gun release lever.
  4. Remove the bolt box from the frame.
  5. Remove the barrel, return spring and guide rod from the bottom of the box.

Reassemble in reverse order.
The unloaded Glock 22 weighs just 640g, making it the lightest of all 40S&W pistols. As for size, Glock is again ahead of everyone. The official length of the pistol is noted as 18.5 cm from the muzzle to the top of the rear frame. The design of the handle allows this pistol to be used by people with any hand size. There are deep stripes across the grip, on the front and back sides, to improve control of the pistol while shooting. The handle is placed in such a way that the axis of the barrel bore is as low as possible, which significantly reduces the shaking of the weapon when firing. The sighting device allows you to adjust the rear sight for the wind and the front sight for height. For shooting in poor visibility conditions: a dot on the front sight and a line surrounding the rear sight slot.

Notes
: A vertically and horizontally adjustable sight can be supplied. Most models can be equipped with 10-round magazines (for delivery in the USA). The Glock-18 can be equipped with magazines with a capacity of 19, 31 and 33 rounds. The Model 28 is a variant of the Model 26 chambered in .380 ACP for sale only in South America, where many countries prohibit civilians from owning weapons chambered for so-called military cartridges. The index “C” (for example Glock-19C) indicates the presence of a compensator. The bolt casing has two oblong holes in the front part on top, through which powder gases, diverted from the barrel bore, which also has holes, are thrown upward, thereby reducing the upward throw of the pistol when firing.

Glock pistols are the perfect combination of reliability and accuracy in a semi-automatic handgun.
Their high-tech engineering and construction create a handgun that can stand up to more punishment than even the most unforgiving conditions can generate. The Glock Pistol's Safe Action trigger system offers you several very distinct benefits. First, you can choose from several different trigger pulls, Second, the trigger is the one and only operative control. Third is the smooth and consistent pull you feel every time you squeeze the trigger, which assists training because each shot feels exactly the same. Glock pistols have three independent and automatic safeties. As the trigger is pulled they sequentially disengage, and as the pistol fires and the trigger returns to its forward position, they re-engage. The frame of each Glock pistol is made out of a synthetic that's actually stronger than steel, yet 86 percent lighter. It's virtually indestructible, can't break down, and won't corrode. The metal components are finished with a non-glare matte surface treatment called Tenifer that makes those parts virtually as hard as a diamond. Glock engineers also designed these handguns with superb ergonomics that compliment your instinctive shooting abilities. With Glock's consistent trigger pull and excellent portability, there's a very good chance you're going to hit what you're aiming at. GLOCK MODELS 26 AND 27

The compact Models 26 and 27 look identical, and differ only in their respective chamberings. The 26 handles the very popular 9mm cartridge, where the 27 takes the new .40 S&W, making it an extremely powerful, yet compact package. The 26 holds 10 rounds in its magazine, and the 27 holds 9 rounds. Both models weigh in at 19.7 ounces empty without their magazines, and have barrel lengths of 3.5 inches.

GLOCK MODELS 19 AND 23

The Models 19 and 23 offer large capacity magazines (limited to 10 rounds in the US) in medium frame sized pistols. The 19 is chambered for the 9mm cartridge, and the 23 for the more powerful .40 S&W. The 19 weighs 20.99 ounces empty without magazine, and the 23 weighs 21.16 ounces. Both have 4.02 inch barrel lengths.

Glock
” A family of Austrian “double action only” pistols that have become extremely widespread throughout the world. Used in Israel. However, this weapon has not found use in any truly combat unit due to numerous disadvantages: high force on the trigger and its long stroke (although a highly skilled shooter, through masterful work on the trigger, can achieve that the pistol works almost like a single-action weapon) , the unfortunate configuration of the grip being too thick at the top and poor balance, the “unsurpassed” reliability of Glocks is also based mainly on advertising claims. I have repeatedly observed cases of delays (failure to close the bolt, stuck cartridge cases) that arose due to an insufficiently tight grip on the weapon - which is quite possible in combat conditions.

Zviad Jakhua:

Well, he's not that good. Much more advertising than truth... A friend has a Glock .45, so with my Taurus PT99 I shot 4000 rounds in 4 months, and he fired about the same in 5. I jammed 2 times, once due to a low-quality cartridge, the other - due to a defective magazine. The Glock jammed 7 times in the same amount of time. I'm not saying that the Glock is 3.5 times less reliable than the Taurus, it's just that what they say in the advertisement is not entirely true. More disadvantages. Firstly, its shape and balance are stupid, I’m not talking about beauty - this is a matter of taste, but in the hands it feels worse than the same Taurus, Colt 1911 or Browning HP... Due to the fact that it is light (for some reason everything They consider this a very big plus) the recoil is noticeably stronger, which means it is more difficult to control. On the other hand, it is hardy. I mean, I know one person who cleans his Glock 9 mm once every month or two... And nothing. I know someone who has shot almost 125,000 rounds out of his Glock and nothing... The gun is like new.

Models chambered for .40 S&W

This cartridge was introduced in 1990 as a cross between the powerful .45 AUTO and the compact 9x19mm. Gained popularity among both police officers and ordinary citizens. The recoil of such weapons is stronger than that of 9mm models.

Glock 22: Favorite

The most popular pistol among police officers in the United States. For its size, this pistol has the largest magazine capacity of any Glock model.

Glock 22

Glock 23: Versatile

The same G19, but with a wider bore. It is solid enough for police officers, and quite compact for concealed carry. The professionals' favorite choice for undercover work.

Glock 23

Glock 27: Mighty Baby

This pistol can be carried in either a pocket or an ankle holster. Despite its size, it holds 10 rounds. Its small size does not in any way affect its accuracy or ease of handling.

Glock 27

Glock 35 Gen4 MOS: King of Competition

Another twin brother of the G34 model. It has a special dual recoil spring that helps soften recoil and ensure reliable performance in the harshest conditions. And the MOS system gives him plenty of options for mounting sights.

Various modifications

The Glock 17 marked the beginning of the development of the entire line of Glock pistols. All models with the symbol “C” on their designation were produced with a recoil compensator.

Thanks to this, it was possible to improve the accuracy of fire and, naturally, reduce recoil.

  2. Glock 17C - Model equipped with built-in compensator
  3. Glock 17R - Model designed for training shooting without cartridges
  4. Glock 17T - Model with a blue body, also intended for training purposes. When shooting, uses blue balls
  5. Glock 17A - Model developed for the Australian market to meet local barrel length requirements. The only differences between the Glock 17 and the Glock 17A are that the 17A has a 120mm barrel that protrudes prominently from the frame and a 10-round magazine capacity.

Interesting Facts

There is an erroneous stereotype that supposedly due to the widespread use of plastic components in the Glock 17 pistol, it poses a threat to society, since it is not detected by metal detectors. In fact, everything is completely different, because the pistol used many metal parts, weighing a total of 400 grams. Gaston Glock himself dispelled this myth by walking through a metal detector with a pistol, and it was detected in a timely manner.

The second common myth is that supposedly Glock pistols have increased fragility due to the predominance of plastic parts. However, people who claim this simply ignore the fact that in government tests the gun withstood a two-meter drop onto a metal surface.

If the pistol had broken, it would not have been adopted by the Austrian army.

The Glock 17 pistol was included in the Guinness Book of Records as a pistol that passed extremely stringent tests while maintaining full combat capability.

The Glock 17 has the unique ability to fire underwater, in heavy dust, in high humidity, and even after being completely immersed in liquid mud or sand. According to these criteria, it can be compared with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. We can say that the Glock 17 is the Kalashnikov of the pistol world.

Characteristics and equipment

The Glock 19X is made in 9x19 caliber. The bolt is covered with a protective nPVD coating, which, according to the manufacturer, will reliably protect the pistol from corrosion, chemical attack and harsh environmental influences (be it heat, extreme cold or high humidity). The pistol is equipped with a proprietary GLOCK Marksman Barrel with polygonal rifling of an improved profile - now they have become closer to the classic ones. An optimized barrel crown profile is also announced. As a result, the accuracy and accuracy of the G19X are noticeably improved compared to earlier generations of Glock pistols.

The Glock 19X pistol comes with one standard 17-round magazine and two high-capacity 19-round magazines. All magazines have a sand-colored body with a black feeder. Also included in the package are four handle pads of different sizes. The pistol is equipped with either a metal rear sight and front sight, or a metal rear sight and front sight with light-accumulating inserts. Note that the sights are also made in Coyote color. Shooting underwater

A distinctive feature of Glock pistols was the ability to shoot underwater. The fire can be conducted without fear for the barrel itself; it does not inflate and, moreover, does not burst. But to be practical, it requires a cross-grooved firing pin to ensure that the primer fires consistently. This problem can also be solved by installing the Spring cups amphibian kit.

The peculiarity is that shooting can be carried out exclusively with the 9 mm Parabellum cartridge. The greatest efficiency of bullet energy is achieved when shooting to a depth of one and a half meters, but the practical threshold is 3 meters. If you shoot at close ranges from under water, you will not hear the sounds of shots.
