According to Foreign Policy magazine, you can buy a barrel for $10 from resellers in Afghanistan, where weapons flowed in streams during the war. However, this is rather a myth, just like the fact that in some countries AK is cheaper than chicken. More realistic are the assessments of a correspondent for the Chinese agency Sina, who found that the least valuable on the black market in Afghanistan are machine guns made in a handicraft manner in Pakistan.
