SAM "S-125"

When designing the S-125, the main task was the need to obtain sufficient missile guidance accuracy in conditions of reflections from the earth's surface. To do this, scanning of space in two mutually perpendicular planes is used to receive echoes of target signals and signals from missile transponders, and to probe the target, a narrow beam formed by a separate antenna is used, which ensures the use of the “difference” method of missile guidance.
