Looking at the performance characteristics of the weapon, there is no doubt that its main purpose is hunting. First of all, this is evidenced by the fairly high power of the rifle (7.5 J + the possibility of increasing to 30 J), as well as the initial bullet speed of 305 m/s (further speed depends on air humidity, but in general it is about 360 m/s ). But using a single-shot rifle for hunting is not the best idea, which is why many owners began to doubt that the model is suitable for hunting animals and birds.

The rifle scope deserves special attention. The standard device uses a classic front sight and rear sight with the ability to adjust the vertical and horizontal position. However, so that a person could shoot in poor lighting conditions, the manufacturer decided to equip the sight with red and green fiber-optic threads. In addition, if desired, you can replace the standard front sight and rear sight with optics, a collimator, a diopter, or even a thermal imager. Design

As already mentioned, the design of the HatsanTorpedo 105X rifle is not particularly complex, but follows the traditions and standards that have been developed by weapons companies over the years. However, it would be wrong not to mention some design features safely hidden by the manufacturer:

1. A trigger with the ability to adjust the rigidity of the trigger. The QuatTrigger system provides a similar opportunity. To loosen or tighten the trigger, it is enough to partially disassemble the weapon and tinker a little with the bolt that tightens the hook.
2. Half-pistol stock "Monte Carlo". The butt has a special protrusion (cushion) designed so that the shooter can place his cheek there. A very convenient system for those who plan to shoot using an optical sight.
3. Built-in sound moderator. To prevent the noise of the shot from scaring away all the forest or swamp game, the manufacturer decided to equip the rifle with a special silencer located at the end of the barrel. Let's get acquainted with the Hatsan 105x rifle

Yes, the barrel can hardly be called perfect: drilling instead of a chamfer, rifling at some distance (up to 7 mm) from the cut. But there is nothing critical in this Hatsan model. Moreover, similar defects are also not uncommon in the mentioned CFX rifle. Why then pay more when it does not affect the final quality? The equipment of the Hatsan 105 is quite good. Bright packaging, ordinary - but quite functional - bipod, factory spring, instruction manual and passport. As for the stock, it is made according to the “Monte Carlo” type (with a tide under the cheek). Material: black plastic in the spirit of IZH-61. The rear sight is also made of plastic. It is equipped with a green light guide insert. But the front sight has a red tint. Vertical adjustment has a significant drawback - weak fixation. However, everything is in order with the horizontal. The sights - in a word - work. It is also important to note the presence of an automatic fuse. It is responsible for effective blocking when cocking (by the way, very light) the corresponding under-barrel lever. There are no complaints about the long descent. It is not difficult to get used to it, since it is smooth and does not require much effort. At the moment of firing, there is a decent amount of recoil, although it cannot be said that it is too excessive. It can be much worse.

Fire from a bipod (statistically) even significantly exceeds the record that people set with their hands. The stability of accurate hits predictably decreases with increasing tempo. Modifications

Over the several years of its existence, the HatsanTorpedo 105X rifle has received only two official modifications, which affect exclusively the appearance of the weapon. Here are their names, as well as a brief description:

1. HatsanTorpedo 105XMW. Classic break rifle with wooden stock and butt. Something like the Russian MP-512, but with increased technical characteristics. Due to the fact that lightweight hazel was used to make wooden parts, the weight of the weapon remained virtually unchanged.
2. HatsanTorpedo 105XCamo. A striking example of how you can release a modification just by repainting the rifle in a different color. The entire model is completely covered with camouflage paint, so the hunter will have a greater chance of remaining unnoticed while hunting. It is worth noting that the color does not fade over time.

As for the remaining modifications (a rifle with an optical sight or a cut-off barrel), these are nothing more than unofficial upgrades compiled by gun store owners, and not by the Hatsan factory itself.

Balance of the Hatsan 105x Torpedo rifle

What really scares the Hatsan 105 is its balance, which is clearly shifted (towards the barrel). It is possible to correct the situation, but you will need to put about 1 kilogram of used lead bullets into the hollow butt. Another disadvantage is that the charge acceleration does not exceed the threshold of 255 meters per second. This is the number indicated in the technical specifications. The indicator is modest, because the rest of the company’s rifles guarantee power in excess of 305 conventional units. This is due to the design features of the folding unit, which lead to the emergence of a large-scale “dead volume”. In addition to the above, there is a need to polish the bullet receiver. The charges go inside reluctantly, not completely (naturally increasing the risk of damage to the “skirt”). It is even better to carry out a complete cleaning procedure after purchase.

What is included

It should also be noted that it supplies weapons to the market in various configurations. If desired, in addition to the rifle itself, you can also buy several consumables, spare parts, sights or accessories. Here is a brief description of the three main kits, each of which includes a HatsanTorpedo 105X model:

A buyer interested in the Hatsan 105x will inevitably look at the Gamo CFX (another similar fixed barrel rifle). Only they can save the user from problems with the fracture unit: loss of accuracy, backlash and other troubles. Another thing is that Gamo CFX is often out of stock, and Hatsan 105 costs almost 2 times less. For many, this is a surprisingly good deal. Moreover, there are no hidden flaws in the weapon.

Possibilities for increasing power

Many owners of the HatsanTorpedo 105X are concerned about the question of how to increase the power of the rifle, because the barrel can withstand muzzle energy up to 200 J. We answer: you can increase the combat characteristics in the following ways:

1. Replace the standard spring with a reinforced one (with increased stiffness). Very often, an additional energy source is supplied with the rifle. However, it is still recommended to purchase a spring from another manufacturer, for example, Crossman, Ataman or Umarex.
2. Trim the trunk a few centimeters (radically, but effectively). We all know from the school physics course that the less the frictional force acting on a body, the greater the speed it develops. By cutting the trunk, the indicator will increase significantly, but the accuracy of the battle at long distances can be greatly affected.
3. Installation of additional barrel gaskets (reduces the volume of air released during a shot). The problem is that even a well-built rifle will certainly have cracks in the body through which some of the energy will escape. It is best to seal them with rubber gaskets.

Well, don’t forget that high-quality barrel lubrication also has a great influence on the speed of the ballistic projectile. Therefore, it is worthwhile to regularly care for your weapon, and also use imported compounds whenever possible.

Disassembling the air rifle "Hatsan 105X Torpedo"

Carrying out partial disassembly of the HatsanTorpedo 105X air rifle will not be difficult for a person who has at least once delved into the Russian MP-512 or IZH-22. Everyone else can use the algorithm of actions, which is described below:

1. We unload the weapon and fire a blank shot.
2. Unscrews a couple of bolts on the receiver.
3. We remove the receiver with the butt.
4. We take out the shock spring.
5. Removes the bolt on the QuatTrigger system.

Operating principle

Preparing the Hatsan 105 rifle for a shot begins with loading the Hatsan Torpedo 105x. To do this you need:

1. lift the lever of the locking mechanism (located to the right, in front of the rear sight) and move it forward;
2. insert the bullet into the bore;
3. move the locking mechanism back and lower the lever into the groove of the lug.

After this, the end of the cocking lever is released from the bracket under the front sight. At a distance of two-thirds of the length from its free end there is a hinge in which the piston pusher bar is fixed.

The cocking lever, to which a slight force is applied, is rotated to a position perpendicular to the rifle stock. The piston moves back and snaps onto the trigger sear. At the same time, the mainspring is compressed and the automatic safety device is placed in the “Closed” position.

The cocking lever returns to its original position and is fixed in the bracket under the front sight by a semicircular spring-loaded brass button located at its end. The combat mechanism is cocked and ready to fire, which can be fired after moving the safety on the butt plate of the compressor to the “Fire” position.
