History of the pistol
SMG Inc., which makes Gletcher-branded airguns, has become famous for its ability to accurately manufacture handgun models based on original military weapons, but developers and designers also often get creative by adding interesting elements to their designs.
The design is based on the Beretta-92 model, the copy turned out to be excellent, but has certain features. The creators made some improvements, for example, the safety lever moved from the bolt frame directly to the body of the weapon, and this turned out to be much more convenient, so it became possible to reach the safety with the thumb of the hand gripping the pistol grip. But even this was not enough for the designers; they decided to create an automatic firing mode.

Description
Users call Glatcher Beret 92 the most sophisticated representative of this line. The design is made in a strict brutal style. Weight of more than 1 kilogram also emphasizes the seriousness of weapons from the pneumatic section. Experts consider this model to be the best analogue of a firearm.
The Blowback function adds even more popularity. It lies in the fact that when firing the bolt moves back, which makes recoil minimal. This model still has many positive aspects. Let's get to know them better.
Design
The body of the Getcher 92 BRT FS auto is made of metal. This determines the heaviness of the pistol. But this circumstance does not scare away customers, but, on the contrary, attracts them. The weapon has a magazine of 19 balls. Also equipped with a 12 g co2 canister. The balls are fed into the barrel of the gun in a standard way. This happens after pressing the shutter button.
Important. We recommend that you pay attention to the fact that the magazine heel and bullet feeder are made of plastic. You need to be especially careful with these details.
The pistol is equipped with safeties on both sides. This makes it comfortable to use with both left and right hands. There are also special strips on the barrel that help attach additional equipment: flashlights, sights.
Tactical and technological characteristics
Glacier 92 FS is manufactured in Taiwan and is world-class licensed. The source of energy for the pneumatic gun is an oxygen cartridge with a capacity of 12 grams. This volume is enough for 60-70 shots.
Oval-shaped bullets are used as projectiles. Made from pure steel. The caliber of air pistol ammunition is 4.5 mm. The magazine holds 19 bullets. They are fired under oxygen pressure. The force of the shot is 3 J. Thanks to this, the bullet flies over a distance of more than 15 meters.
Starting speed – 100 m/s. The enemy is defeated at lightning speed, which is convenient when playing hardball. It allows you to strike your opponent with maximum speed.
Design
The pneumatic model is completely metal, as evidenced by its significant weight. Only the handle pads are made of composite plastic.
The control mechanisms are located on the left side of the gun:
- Lever for partial disassembly.
- Clip release button.
- The fuse is also located on the right side, making it convenient for use by both right-handed and left-handed people.
- Shutter delay flag.
The gas cylinder is installed in a holder in which it is tightened with a clamping screw. Also, cartridges are inserted here; only copper-plated balls can be used as ammunition. Open sights are not adjustable.
Under the barrel there is a Weaver-Picatinny rail where you can attach a laser sight, tactical flashlight or other devices.
The pneumatic is an exact copy of a real Beretta 92FS weapon, almost identical in weight and dimensions. This model can be distinguished only by the heel on the clip, which is absent on the original pistol, and by the location of the safety catch. The similarity is added by the Blowback mechanism, which provides realistic recoil and, at the same time, reloads the pistol. Pneumatics are very noisy when fired, the sound can be clearly heard if you set the automatic firing mode.
The Gletcher BRT 92 FS is a classic pneumatic gun that fires using a regular 12 gram gas cylinder. Due to the release of gas after pressing the trigger, the ball is fired. Due to the blowback system, the hammer is cocked automatically. Due to the installed double-action trigger mechanism, the shot can also be fired by pre-cocking. After firing is completed, with an empty clip, the bolt frame is delayed.
Weapons are suitable for recreational entertainment. It cannot be used for sport shooting or training, since the accuracy is insufficient and the initial speed of the bullet is low for this.
Description of the Gletcher TAR92 Auto air pistol (Beretta, Blowback)
an updated version of the Beretta, firing in automatic mode, namely in bursts of 5 shells. The initial flight speed of the ball is about 100 m/s in semi-automatic fire mode, and in automatic mode it is slightly less, by about 10-15%.
The pistol fires using the energy of a 12 gram CO2 canister of gas, which is installed in a full-size magazine of a Gletcher TAR 92 Auto pneumatic Beretta; 19 balls are also loaded into the pistol magazine. The design of the full-size magazine allows you to use up to 3-4 magazines with the pistol simultaneously and show excellent results in terms of rate of fire.
The Gletcher TAR92 model is equipped with a Blowback system, i.e. during shooting, the shutter moves and a recoil effect is created, similar to shooting from a combat pistol, however, this system consumes part of the gas and the canister is enough for an average of 45-55 shots .
The body of the automatic Beretta is made of metal, as is the bolt and all internal mechanisms. The barrel in the Gletcher TAR92 Auto pistol is smooth, it has already been proven that a smooth barrel for steel balls is much better than a rifled one, it shows higher initial speed.
The Glatcher Tar 92 pistol is equipped with a slide stop, i.e. the moment the last ball leaves the magazine, the shutter locks onto the slide stop.
The three-position flag switch has the following operating modes:
- The top mode is safe (the checkbox is checked only when the hammer is cocked)
- Medium mode - single fire
- Low mode - automatic fire
The big advantage is that the flag extends onto both sides of the gun and thus allows both right-handed and left-handed people to change modes.
The main sighting device of the device is an open sight, consisting of a front sight and rear sight, with white dots applied to them to facilitate the aiming process.
At the bottom of the frame of the Gletcher TAR 92 Auto pistol there is a rail for various gadgets, including a laser sight for laser sights.
The magazine is removed from the pistol as from a combat pistol, i.e. you need to press the round key at the junction of the handle and the trigger guard.
The model is very beautiful and functionally no different from the BRT 92 FS Auto. It is very comfortable and quite heavy.
Advantages and disadvantages of the model
Advantages | Flaws |
Excellent build quality | The bolt frame has slight play, this also affects shooting accuracy |
Almost entirely weapons steel | Very high gas consumption, the cylinder is enough for no more than 60 shots (usually 3 clips), and during automatic fire the consumption is much higher |
Recoil and bolt movement | Installing bullets into the magazine will require some skill and, in general, it is quite difficult to do this while wearing gloves when shooting outdoors |
Automatic shooting | It is very difficult to replace the cylinder without a hex wrench |
Disassembly of Gletcher BRT 92FS auto
Partial disassembly of the pistol is quite simple and does not require any special tools. Why do you need:
- Get the clip.
- Press the button located on the right, turn down the lever located on the left side.
- The bolt frame moves forward.
So the partial disassembly is complete. Assembly is done in reverse order.
Complete disassembly, which, by the way, is indicated inside the package, is generally simple; you just need to remember that the model has more than 120 different parts and most of them are small. You need to be careful. No special tools are required.
The gun is sold with a preservation lubricant; it must be removed before use. Subsequently, sometimes there are situations when the bolt frame does not reach its final position during return. This happens because the bolt clings to the trigger from the inside. It is necessary to treat the friction area with oil. It is also important to keep the clip clean.
Air gun Gletcher BRT 92FS-A
Hi all. I would like to provide you with my review of the Gletcher BRT 92FS-A 6mm airsoft pistol that I recently acquired. My friends forked out money for me as a gift, I’ll tell you a very nice gift. =)
The pistol is packed in a tight box, just like all Gletcher pistols. The kit includes instructions, a warranty card, a hex key for tightening the CO2 cartridge, as well as an additional clamping screw in case the first one breaks.
And this is what the gun itself looks like.
The pistol has a functioning double-sided safety (this is very convenient for right-handed or left-handed people) and a slide stop. I can note that the pistol can only be put on safety when the hammer is cocked.
Technical characteristics of the pistol:
Manufacturer: Gletcher (KWC).
Weight (kg): 1100 gr. as it is written on the box, on the Internet it says 1040 g.
Power: up to 3 J.
Energy source: CO2.
Size: length: 21.4 cm.
Blowback system: yes. Blowback system that provides shutter movement to simulate recoil and make shooting more realistic
Magazine capacity: 26 balls.
Initial speed: 115 m/s with a ball of 0.20g. (according to the video from the Internet, I haven’t measured mine yet).
Material: body and shutter: metal (silumin).
Automatic firing mode (the main feature of this pistol).
Based on these data, I can say that the Beretta is heavier than my airsoft Colt due to the greater weight of the magazine, and this can be felt when holding both pistols in your hands.
Among the advantages of this pistol, I can note the excellent copyability of the Beretta pistol, as well as the automatic firing mode of the pistol. Among the shortcomings is that the bolt frame dangles and the barrel of the pistol dangles when the bolt stop is released. But as they explained to me, this was done so that the automatic mode would work.
I can note that this pistol has a solid front sight, not like the front sight on the Colt; I had to glue it with glue so that it would not fall off. Still, a solid front sight is much better than a separate one with bad rivets.
I have had this pistol relatively recently, but already now I can say that it is a good pistol. Having shot 5 cans from it, I can note that it is very, very accurate for an airsoft pistol. And the automatic shooting mode is generally a “thing”, but there is also a minus from this. Having fired 1 magazine, the gas immediately runs out; with single shooting, the magazine is enough for 2 magazines for sure.
This is what a partially disassembled pistol looks like.
In conclusion, I would like to note that I am very pleased with this gift. This pistol fits perfectly in the hand, although I am more attracted by the appearance of my Colt, but it does not have such a chubby handle, it is much more comfortable to hold with gloves.
Thank you very much if you read my article to the end.
