The P2000 is the starting pistol for the Special Forces and can be replaced with the USP-S. First appeared in the game series in CS: GO. The P2000 has 13 .357 rounds in the clip and 52 rounds in reserve.

In reality it is called Heckler und Koch P2000. The P2000 is a very reliable pistol that has withstood the most severe military tests. This weapon has been officially approved for police use and is now used by several police departments in Germany. Heckler und Koch is the only foreign firearms manufacturer that has succeeded in breaking Beretta's nearly 100-year monopoly on the supply of pistols and submachine guns to the Italian Armed Forces.

The Heckler & Koch P2000 pistol was created on the basis of the Heckler & Koch USP Compact, the main purpose of the modernization was to obtain a more compact and versatile personal weapon. It was announced in 200 and first presented to the public in 2001 at the IWA 2001 exhibition. It was adopted by the police for concealed carry officers.

The frame is made of impact-resistant plastic with metal shutter guides. The shutter is completely steel, made by milling. The back of the grip is removable, allowing for different sized grips to fit the shooter's palm.

The automatic operation of the Heckler & Koch P2000 is based on a short barrel stroke according to a modified Browning scheme. The barrel is locked by the lug behind the hole for ejecting cartridges. The reduction of the barrel is carried out by the interaction of the influx with a shaped protrusion on the barrel with a fixed rod on which the return spring is attached. The pistol has a proprietary CDA (Combat Defense Action) double-action trigger mechanism that provides a smooth release and high reliability. The CDA has two springs; when you press the trigger, you overcome the resistance of a weak spring giving a load of about 3 kilograms, which releases an internal, more powerful mainspring through a special mechanism. The internal spring acts as a single action trigger and can only be cocked by pulling the bolt or after firing during the reloading cycle. The internal spring can only be released by pressing the trigger. For safe release of the hammer spring from cocking, there is a flag located on the left side of the frame. The pistol can use several modifications of the trigger mechanism:

• V0 pistol with classic CDA trigger.
• V1 pistol with a CDA trigger mechanism, the only thing missing is the ability to safely decock the hammer spring; you need to pull the trigger when there is no cartridge in the chamber. The force required to pull the trigger is 2 kilograms.
• V2 is similar to V1, only the trigger pull force is 2.8 kilograms.
