Gabbet-Fairfax "Mars"

One of the earliest attempts to create a powerful pistol in honor of the god of war Mars dates back to 1898. A certain British gentleman, Hugh Gabbett-Fairfax, invented a self-loading pistol using automatic equipment, with a movable barrel that had a long recoil and was locked by turning the bolt.

The pistol had an original system for feeding cartridges from the magazine: when the barrel rolled back, the cartridge was pulled out of the magazine back onto a special feeder tray. In the extreme rear position, the barrel disengaged from the bolt and returned to the front position, and the bolt remained behind until the shooter released the trigger. After the user returned the trigger to its original position, the bolt moved forward, picked up the cartridge from the feeder tray and sent it into the barrel.

Gabbet-FairfaxMars"

All these difficulties were required because Mr. Gabbett-Fairfax developed cartridges of very impressive power for his pistol. The .360 Mars cartridge accelerated a nine-millimeter bullet weighing 10.3 grams to 500 m/s, which gave almost 1300 J of muzzle energy - about twice as much as that of the famous 7.63 mm Mauser pistol of the 1896 model. In the .45 Mars 11.4 mm version, a bullet weighing 14.2 grams accelerated to 380 m/s and 1030 J. The barrel of the pistol was 24 centimeters long, and the entire structure weighed 1.4 kilos - and this is without cartridges. Neither the British nor any other army wanted to carry such a heavy, cumbersome and very complex (and therefore not very reliable) colossus.

.360 Mars 9mm variant

In 1903, the history of the Mars pistol ended with the release of less than a hundred pistols of all variants.

Options[edit | edit code]

There are at least two variations of the M6G pistol, which itself is also part of the M6 pistol series. These subspecies exhibit marked differences in function and appearance, and are easily distinguished by their year of manufacture.

Model 2546edit | edit code

Magnum M6G model 2546.

This model was used by UNSC ground troops on Reach during the Covenant invasion of the planet in 2010. This model has a high rate of fire (240 rpm, or 4 rpm), which slightly affects the shooting accuracy. The pistol's bolt tapers at the rear and widens towards the nose due to a diagonal thread. The clip release button is located above and parallel to the bottom of the trigger. The firing pin is located slightly further from the bolt. Under it there is also a module for a laser or flashlight that is not used in the game.

Model 2552edit | edit code

Model 2552 Magnum M6G.

This model was used by UNSC Marines stationed on Earth in late 2552. This type of pistol has the same proportions and design as the Model 2546 with the difference that it has a thinner and slightly longer barrel. Despite the reduced rate of fire (120 rpm, or 2 rpm), the accuracy of this option is an order of magnitude higher. The mounting bolts holding the electronic sight are located further from the muzzle than on the 2546 variant. The clip release button is located directly in front of the safety and has a thin, rectangular protrusion similar to those found on early M6 models. The firing pin goes completely into the barrel, just like in 21st century Glock pistols.

Weapons for self-defense

The gas pistol “Magnum Ekol Firat” is a Turkish-made weapon. In the pistol market, it is considered one of the best models used as an effective means of self-defense.

Recently it has had huge demand among the civilian population of the Russian Federation. To purchase this pistol, you only had to present your passport. From July 1, 2011, these weapons, like other models of foreign-made pistols, were prohibited for sale.

The expected effect from using this model is traumatic. The Magnum Ekol Firat pistol, unlike combat pistols, is not made of weapons-grade steel. For this purpose, an inexpensive and less durable material is used, which, when the gun is dropped from a height onto a hard surface, can crack, rendering the weapon unusable.

The pistol is designed to hold 15 rounds. The effective firing range is no more than five meters. According to reviews from the owners of this model, after 7,000 shots, wear is observed in the mechanism of the trigger springs and firing pin.

Waiting for offers

Despite the above advantages, it is difficult to find cheap money in Kazakhstan today. “We're looking for long, cheap money to continue to grow,” Garber says. – We are considering various options. We do not rule out issuing bonds or attracting an investor. We understand that further aggressive development using bank loans is impossible.”

“To maintain momentum, we are open to suggestions,” the source adds. According to him, foreign players regularly show interest in Magnum, as it is the largest network in the country. In general, there is a very high level of consolidation in global retail.

Russian retailers are also interested in Kazakhstan, but without much enthusiasm. After all, in Russia itself there are 85 administrative-territorial entities, and here there are no more than three economically developed regions. “This is the main reason why they are not coming here yet. It is easier for them to develop somewhere in Saratov or Omsk. Our population density is uneven and there are difficulties with logistics

When we get bigger, then we will certainly attract their attention,” explains Garber

The original Model 29 was replaced by the Model 29-1 in 1960, with changes made to the ejector rod screw. Model 29-2 replaced it the following year, with one screw that secured the cylinder-stop spring removed. The barrel length was shortened from 6 1/2″ to 6″ in 1979. These two versions are known as “rested and recessed.” "Secure" means that the barrels are screwed into, and secured with a driven pin through the frame and knurl in the barrel. "Recessed" means the back of the cylinder's bored holes is countersunk so that when loaded, the cartridge rims are completely enclosed by the cylinder. In 1982, cost cutting Model 29-3 dropped the recessed cylinders and laid barrels to crush the landing barrels.

The -4 and -5, mined 1988 and 1990 respectively, were modified to improve strength for intensive use. In 1994, production of the 29-6 began, now installed as standard with rubber Monogrips from Hogue to replace the previous wood elements, standard threaded holes are also provided for mounting mounting strips. The 29-7 began production in 1998 with changes to the locking mechanism, firing pin mount, and hammer and trigger produced through the metal injection molding process.

Model 629

Introduced in 1978, the Smith and Wesson Model 629 is a stainless steel version of the Model 29.

Specifications[edit | edit code]

Designedit | edit code

The weapon's features appear to vary depending on the year of production. While the Army's Model of the Year has a rate of fire of 240 rounds per minute (or 4 rounds per second), the Marine Corps' Model of the Year fires at half that rate, at just 120 rounds per minute (2 rounds per second). However, both versions contain such features as an effective blast radius of 50 meters, high accuracy, and increased stopping power of the bullet. The M6G has proven its suitability in all situations where the shooter does not have a primary weapon at hand.

Magnum S: properties

Vitamin C is the most famous and sought-after antioxidant that inhibits the aging process and protects the body from free radicals and toxic substances. Vitamin C has cholesterol-lowering, wound-healing, antiviral and anti-allergic effects, helps strengthen all tissues of the body, helps many active substances to be absorbed and enter every cell of the body. The esterified form of vitamin C is not only characterized by good absorption, longer action time and greater efficiency, but also contains important minerals magnesium and potassium for humans, which are involved in the functioning of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, metabolism, and energy production in the body. All bioflavonoids are powerful antioxidants. These are substances that do not belong to vitamins, although they are often associated with vitamin C. All flavonoids increase the absorption of vitamin C, which means it makes sense to combine vitamin C with bioflavonoids. The Magnum S preparation contains citrus bioflavonoids, which are good at relieving swelling, promoting the healing of wounds and bruises, and relieving pain. Bioflavonoids also have anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anti-allergic effects, thin the blood, and improve blood circulation. Bioflavonoids are an effective remedy in the treatment of varicose veins, thrombosis, trophic ulcers, and rheumatic diseases. Walnut leaves contain active substances that have a blood purifying, tonic, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect. The leaves of this plant are a proven folk remedy for exhaustion of the body, inflammation of the lymph nodes and joint diseases. Rosehip cinnamon is a proven vitamin remedy and an effective natural immunostimulant. The plant activates metabolism, increases the body's ability to work and resistance to infections, has a vasoprotective effect, reduces inflammation, and promotes faster healing of wounds. Lettuce has a rich chemical composition, thanks to which it improves digestion, has a calming effect on the nervous system, improves heart function, and lowers cholesterol levels. Lettuce is indispensable for older people, as well as during rehabilitation after debilitating illnesses and injuries. Large burdock has a positive effect on the functioning of the digestive system, improves the blood formula, and helps reduce inflammatory processes. Also, the active substances of the plant improve metabolic and regeneration processes and have a good antibacterial effect. Sarsaparilla is a tropical, perennial, ground-growing vine native to Central and South America. The plant has gained a reputation as a good blood purifier, as well as a means of maintaining the body’s hormonal balance and activating metabolism. Sarsaparilla also stimulates digestion, improves the functional state of the nervous system, and is an effective aphrodisiac.

AutoMag, attempt number two

A good name should not be wasted - apparently, Harry Sanford, already mentioned above, thought the same thing. In the late 1980s, he introduced a new line of AutoMag II, III, IV and V pistols, manufactured by AMT (Arcadia Machine and Tool) and IAI (Irwindale Arms Inc). What these pistols had in common with the above-mentioned original “AutoMag” was just the name - they were based on the design of the legendary Colt M1911, with differences in the design of the trigger mechanism, safety and barrel unlocking unit.

AutoMag III

We are most interested in model III, IV and V pistols chambered for .30 M1 carbine (7.62×33), .45 Win Mag and .50AE. They weighed approximately 1.3 kilos without cartridges, and in terms of ballistics they did not differ from the analogues listed above for the same calibers.

AutoMag IV

However, the beautiful name did not bring success to Sanford’s new project - AMT’s products were not of high quality, and IAI was not far behind it in this sense.
