“We always prefer simple designs. But we can't take a simple design and make it fire as expected. We are confident that our weapons must have some kind of basis - the entire concept of Lobaev’s sniper rifles is built on this, and the TSVL-8 M1 “Stalingrad” is a clear confirmation of this. The elaborate bolt group is combined with a compact aluminum alloy base. This is how we get the increased effectiveness of precision weapons. For the sake of compactness when carrying, the weapon is manufactured with a shoulder rest that folds to the left. There are two versions of the rifle - sporting (Contender series) and combat (Black Ops).

Features of the LA TSVL-8 Stalingrad rifle

One of the features of this rifle is the use of a separate Count shot block, “born” from the larger-caliber Duke bolt group. This is a small-sized version of the DUKE bolt group, which was incorporated in the original concept (a previous enterprise of Lobaev Arms)

The situation is completed by a sporting rifle barrel produced by a subsidiary of Lobaev Hummer Barrels - the company produces barrels and blanks for them of the highest quality.

Especially for the “Stalingrad”, even at the development stage, barrels were created, made from a solid steel billet by deep-drilling and subsequent mandarinizing of the rifling, with final processing by hand.

The “Lobaev Tactical Sniper Rifle” was created as a weapon with a simplified design and fairly high performance. The TSVL-8 rifle was developed in accordance with the “skeleton” concept with some of its modifications related to reducing the load on the receiver. In this regard, the weapon received an original supporting system with a relatively small aluminum chassis, which serves as the basis for all units.

For the TSVL-8 rifle, KBIS employees developed a new COUNT magazine bolt group. This system is a smaller version of the DUKE group created by the company earlier. To ensure high accuracy of fire, the rifle does not have an automatic mechanism and is equipped with a longitudinally sliding bolt. The bolt group interacts with a LOBAEV Hummer Barrels stainless steel barrel. The TSVL-8 rifle is designed to use only one cartridge, the .338 Lapua Magnum. The barrel, bolt and magazine for other cartridges are not yet offered.

TSVL-8 is equipped with a folding stock for portability.

The “tactical sniper rifle” can be equipped with a barrel length of 680 or 740 mm. The total length of the weapon is 1290 mm. The TSVL-8 rifle is equipped with a folding stock, which allows you to reduce the length of the weapon to 1016 mm. The total weight of the weapon is 6.2 kg. A T-Tuner muzzle brake can be installed on the rifle barrel. Ammunition is supplied from a detachable box magazine with 5 rounds.

On the upper surface of the receiver of the TSVL-8 rifle there is a Picatinny rail for mounting a sight. Two other strips are located on the upper and lower surfaces of the forend. In the front part of the forend there is a bipod attachment point. The trigger mechanism allows you to adjust the trigger force within the same limits as the corresponding units of the SVLK-14S rifle.

The declared fire characteristics of the TSVL-8 rifle are of some interest. The muzzle velocity of the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge reaches 900 m/s. The maximum effective fire range of this weapon is stated at 1600 m. Technical accuracy is 0.4 MOA (12 mm between the centers of 5 hits from 100 m).

We like simple designs. But pure skeletons built on supporting boxes are difficult to make shoot for a number of reasons. We believed that our skeleton should be built on a chassis, albeit small. Thus the concept of the Tactical Sniper Rifle Lobaev (TSVL) was born. The new bolt group rests on a small aluminum chassis and compound, improving the vibration-damping properties of the product.

This way we are sure that we are squeezing the maximum possible accuracy out of this design.

TSVL-8 is equipped with a folding stock for portability.

This model is also available in match (“Contender”) and service (“Black-Ops”) versions.

For this Lobaev rifle, we have developed a new magazine bolt group - COUNT. This is a smaller version of the DUKE bolt group and is also part of the family of bolt groups, the development of which began with the Tsar Cannon.

A LOBAEV Hummer Barrels stainless steel match barrel completes the picture. Basic contour barrels are recommended for this model.
