Hello everyone and welcome to aces.gg! Friends, today our guest is perhaps one of the most unusual vehicles in World of Tanks, a Tier 4 Soviet light premium tank. Valentine II guide
.
What makes it unique, you ask? Everything is very simple, this device has a very comfortable preferential battle level - 4. This means that Valentine II WoT
never fights against the fifth levels, we are thrown only towards classmates and machines at a lower level.

Tactics for playing WOT on a level 4 Valentine tank
Considering that “Valentine” plays at low levels, in a “sandbox,” there is no need to come up with any complex game tactics. The behavior of allies is almost impossible to predict, so the main thing is to stay close to them. The armor is quite good and allows you to deflect some enemy shots. When playing with a stock gun, you have to load quite a lot of premium shells into the ammunition load in order to be able to fire at armored targets. But the tank does not go into big “minus” for silver, the level is too low.
Overall, the Valentine is a pretty good tank, and it can be completed quite quickly, without any problems. But if we are talking about a machine that can easily destroy your opponents in the sandbox and deal damage, then it can hardly be called suitable for such purposes.

Crew:
- Crew commander (Gunner);
- Driver mechanic;
- Loader (Radio Operator).
Learning additional skills for the crew:
Standard crew for Active Actions:
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
For the first slot, we teach all crew members, except the commander, the “ Repair” , and for the commander the “ Sixth Sense” skill - the “Repair” skill speeds up the repair of damaged modules, and the “Sixth Sense” will allow you to determine whether his tank has been detected by the enemy. Also, all crew members need to learn the additional skill “ Combat Brotherhood” , which will improve the level of proficiency in the specialty - be sure to learn it all at once, preferably used in the second or third slot.
- the Eagle Eye skill , which increases the viewing range.
- For the driver mechanic, we learn the “ Smooth Move” , which reduces the dispersion of the gun in motion; and the Off-Road King , which reduces drag on soft to medium ground when driving.
- For the loader, we learn the skill “Non-contact ammo rack ,” which increases the strength of the ammo rack; and the skill “Desperate” , which reduces the reload time when less than 10% strength remains.
Studying skills and abilities of crew members for defense:

For the first slot, we teach all crew members the “ Camouflage” , and for the commander the “ Sixth Sense” skill - the “Camouflage” skill will reduce the overall visibility of the tank, and the “Sixth Sense” will allow you to determine whether his tank is detected by the enemy. Also, all crew members need to learn an additional skill “ Combat Brotherhood” , which improves the level of proficiency in the specialty, must be studied by everyone at once, preferably used in the second or third slot.

Equipment, gear and ammunition:
List of equipment that can be installed on Valentine II:
Equipment for the Valentine II tank:
Active Action tactics, you need to install the equipment “Reinforced aiming drives”, “Improved ventilation” and “Coated optics” . On the first slot we install complex equipment: Reinforced aiming drives, which increases the gun aiming speed by +10% . On the second slot we install complex equipment Improved ventilation, which increases the level of proficiency in the main specialty and additional skills by 5% . On the last slot we install complex equipment Coated optics, which increases the viewing radius by 10% .
For the Ambush Sniper , you need to install the equipment "Improved Ventilation", "Stereo Tube" and "Camouflage Net" . On the first slot we install complex equipment Improved ventilation, which increases the level of proficiency in the main specialty and additional skills by 5% On the second slot we install removable equipment Stereo Tube, which increases the viewing radius 3 seconds after stopping. On the last slot we install the removable equipment Camouflage Network, which reduces the visibility of a stationary tank after stopping after 3 seconds.
Equipment:
List of equipment that can be installed on Valentine II:
The equipment should be equipped with a standard set of equipment: Small repair kit , Small first aid kit , Hand fire extinguisher . The fire extinguisher can be replaced with Lend-Lease oil , which will increase engine power by 5% . For tournaments or when there are a lot of credits, you can replace the fire extinguisher with Extra Ration 10% to all skills .
Ammunition:
45 mm 20K(l) gun - we’ll take most of the armor-piercing shells, but against more armored opponents it’s worth taking a few premium sub-caliber shells, which will make the game easier. High-explosive fragmentation shells will be useful for us to shoot down the capture of the base and finish off opponents with a small margin of safety. The total ammunition load is 61

Combat effectiveness
The tank has excellent armor and is excellent for breaking through one or another tank flank. True, he has one big problem related to the weapon. The gun takes a long time to aim and requires precise shooting, since the tank has limited ammunition and it may happen that the situation forces you to find yourself in a not-so-good state of affairs when the shells simply run out.
As for tactics, despite the great advantage in the technical side of the tank, you should not act alone. Yes, the potential is clearly visible, but it is worth understanding that support is needed, that help will be needed, etc. If you ignore these factors, you will face unpleasant problems. In addition, a low speed reserve will cause the tank to become a prime target for heavy weapons from your opponents.
This factor should also be attributed to the fact that the shells do not have the best penetration and this will certainly cause low damage. Now we should remember that the limited ammunition was noted above and this may cause far from the best results. Therefore, the right decision would be to play carefully and focus exclusively on cumulative shells, since they are not so expensive and will not interfere with earning a good amount of silver.
More detailed information about the technique:
The battle tank Valentine II is one of the unique ones that always gets to the top of the fourth levels. The armor allows it to be the main tank for breaking through one of the directions, but it is quite slow, which is why you should be wary of enemy artillery. The gun has rather low penetration, which does not even allow it to deal damage to classmates in weak spots, but the cost of premium shells is low, which makes it possible to use them. The small number of shells forces you to wait until the gun is fully aimed.
As a result: Tank Valentine II often goes on sale and its value decreases significantly, but it’s worth considering whether to buy it or not. If you are collecting a collection of tanks, then you should definitely buy it!!!
A little history
It is immediately worth noting that this model of battle tank became the key one in the Lend-Lease program. One can only imagine that the USSR provided over 3,500 combat vehicles, which is almost 46% of all produced combat vehicles of this model. But despite this, the tank itself has rather mixed reviews. For example, the command highly appreciated the tactical capabilities of this combat vehicle, which added more opportunities for combat strategy.
But tankers rated the effectiveness of this combat vehicle extremely low, since it required special care and this was not suitable for the realities of the Soviet army. The fact is that British technology has an extremely fragile technical structure. And with the help of self-repair it was simply impossible to get rid of such problems. Here we should also add technical problems that relate to the supply of shells, etc.
