MP-145 "Lev"
- Soviet and Russian shipborne artillery fire control system. Designed to control 100 mm caliber artillery mounts (AK-100). Provides firing at surface, air and coastal targets in conditions of the use of active and passive jamming and anti-radar homing projectiles[1].
The system provides target designation reception, target acquisition, tracking with the development of precise target coordinates, ballistic and meteorological training for firing, missile tracking from a carrier ship, personnel training on simulated targets with the possibility of conducting practical firing.

The Kalashnikov Concern is expected to release a new carbine, the Baikal 145 “Los”, it will be manufactured in two calibers - 223Rem and 308Win. These carbines were already shown at the last arms exhibition in Moscow. And here is a video about Losenko in 223 cal.

On 08/23/2018 I became the owner of Elk in 308. The first rifled one, so the assessment will be very subjective. Lie down as it should, clearly. They brought only 2 to Rostov. I’ll say right away that I placed an order at KK. I waited for them to transport them to the Brand zone, they told KK that they would call you as soon as they were delivered. But this did not happen. After suffering for a couple of weeks, and this information was given to me by KK, the money began to burn my leg in the pocket area, I went to the BI myself. I. They brought 2. One at one end of the city, the other at the other! In general, I traveled a lot that day! With KK’s military protection, at least here in Rostov-on-Don, everything is not very good! Anyway. On wood, I like it! The bolt operation of two seemingly identical carbines is different. One works with a plug, approximately in the middle of the movement, the other works without it. On another carbine, both visually and functionally, everything is fine. But! For some reason I still want to get this whole thing over with! Overall, I'm happy with the purchase! Disassembly and tuning
To remove accumulated soot and dirt from the barrel, the carbine is disassembled. Disassembly may also be necessary if improvements are required.
The simplicity of the design allows this operation to be carried out without any particular difficulties:
- To remove the bolt, it is pulled back;
- The fuse is installed vertically;
- The bolt is easily removed from the barrel box.
According to tuning, it is possible to replace the forend and the base front sight. You can replace the optics with a more powerful one. Most hunters view the improved Elk from an exclusively positive side. Los-10 advantageously combines ease of use, cost, design, and technical capabilities.
The average cost of a new Los 10 carbine, at prices at the beginning of 2020, is approximately 50,000 - 55,000 rubles. If you buy the Los 10 carbine in good condition secondhand, then its price is not much lower than the store price and will differ by 10-20% from the cost downwards. What attracts professionals in particular is its precision and accuracy. The safety of the stock during frequent use is ensured by a tandem made of polymers and natural wood.

The technical parameters of the Los-10 carbine laid down by the manufacturer provide it with great capabilities. All reviews and comparative analyzes of the qualities of previous Elk models are taken into account here. The well-thought-out shape of the carbine is very comfortable, the ergonomics of the butt makes recoil less noticeable, and the fixation on the shoulder is reliable when shooting. By reducing the barrel length, the developers achieved a compact weapon. Now the lightweight version is more convenient to transport. If we consider the carbine from the functional side, it represents an adapted device based on the best combat rifles. The self-loading Los-10 is equipped with a longitudinally sliding bolt, the bore is chrome-plated, and the rifling is right-handed. The cartridges are used either rifle cartridges - with high accuracy, or high power - for particularly large animals.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Los-10 Carbine
The advantages of the Los-10 carbine give a head start to analogues from other manufacturers. The following are considered important positive characteristics:
- A combination of excellent technology and budget;
- Simplicity of the mechanism, especially convenient disassembly;
- Optimal parameters of the barrel and butt;
- Good shooting performance.
Regarding the shortcomings, most owners prefer not to talk about them because they consider them insignificant. And yet the negative qualities of the carbine are named:
- Poor quality of the detachable magazine, since unsuccessful fastening and a couple of millimeters of movement sometimes interfere with a quick response to a stop in the supply of ammunition.
- Young hunters complain about the shutter: its smooth operation. But this is most likely due to inexperience in handling.
- Also, some young owners are not satisfied with the location of the fuse, which is inconveniently located in relation to the optics.
Otherwise, Los-10 has proven itself to be excellent in testing and in practice.
Purpose
From the very beginning, Los-10 was intended for commercial hunting. The designers completed the task assigned to them, achieving high efficiency of the weapon. Hunters really like the new version of the lightweight carbine. Ease of use and affordable price make the Elk 10 a desirable companion for the fisherman.
A simple device and successful design allow even women to operate weapons. Among them, although not so often, there are also real professionals.
Distinctive features
Los-10 can be of several varieties of carbine: only the finishing of the stock differs in the type of wood and the cartridge caliber used: 7.62x51 or 308 Win. The stores mainly offer options with beech, birch, and walnut finishes. The wood is processed with high quality and coated with a special varnish. This ensures the wood is protected from weather and mechanical influences.
