Pneumatic pistol Makarov Baikal MP 654K 32

Air pistol MP-654K-32-1

In appearance it is as similar as possible to the Makarov combat pistol.
The material of manufacture is weapon-grade steel, the method of partial assembly and disassembly and preparation for shooting is similar to a real pistol. This version of the pistol has a mainspring, a curly brace, a beard and a cutout for the ejector - the presence of all these features together makes the pistol very attractive for purchase.

The MP-654K-32-1 pistol has distinctive features from the previous series (MP-654K-32) - the new model has a curly brace .

All markings that were placed on the visible part of the pistol in previous series pistols are now applied under the lower part of the slide, which makes them less noticeable, and the pistol itself is more similar to a real Makarov pistol.

The MP-654K-32-1 is considered one of the most reliable air pistols of the PM series and has great capabilities for installing spare parts that will make the appearance of the pistol as authentic as possible to its combat counterpart.

On the frame of the pistol there is a rifled metal barrel with a caliber of 4.5 mm, for pneumatic weapons, and to give an external resemblance to the combat Makarov, the barrel is drilled at the muzzle to a depth of 9 mm to a depth of 1 cm .

Purpose: training and recreational shooting, teaching a similar technique for disassembling and assembling a PM pistol, theoretical and practical skills in using weapons.

— Energy source — standard 12-gram CO2 cartridges; - Muzzle energy less than 3 J - is not a weapon, is available for free sale; — The magazine, valve and carbon dioxide cartridge form a single unit, which is installed in the handle, as in a real PM; — Detachable magazine for 13 bullets; — Self-cocking trigger mechanism with an open trigger; — A fuse that, when turned on, removes the hammer from the cocking position; — Polymer lining on the handle; — For shooting, spherical 4.5 mm metal bullets (BB type) are used; — The weight of the pistol is 730 g.

Design MP 654

The main advantages claimed by fans are the perfect match to the design of the original and weapon-grade steel in the design. In fact, both of these statements are only partly true, and the MP 654 air pistol, of course, does not even reach the SHP versions of real weapons.

Partial disassembly of the pistol is identical to the original

Frame

Is the pistol frame made of weapon grade steel? Early modifications of the pistol, and small series throughout production, were indeed made from defective firearms. But for the most part, more than 90% of modern pistols are new, and they use a cast powder steel frame. The only exception is the MP 654 32 series, the milled and forged frame of which is made of authentic weapon steel, but unfortunately it is quite rare and more expensive than usual.

The frame is cast and weakened, the linings are not made of bakelite but plastic

The power of the return spring is almost like that of a firearm; if you are not used to it, it will be difficult to pull the bolt

Gate

The bolt assembly is indeed very similar to the original Makarov pistol; the MP 654 differs offhand only in the absence of a cutout for the extractor or the extractor itself. More differences are revealed during disassembly - the vast majority of valves are also new, with rare exceptions.

From the obvious - there is no cut for the extractor

However, for pneumatics, the level of copying is beyond praise; most analogues are very far behind in authenticity.

Shop

The skeleton magazine is combined with a container for cylinders, and is also made of cast powder steel. Unlike its analogues, it is very light, which makes it a little similar to PM firearms magazines, since the balance of the weapon with the loaded magazine is shifted slightly forward. In similar models from competitors, due to aluminum cases, the magazine is the heaviest unit.

The loaded magazine is much lighter than competitors'

The cylinder clamping screw can be either hidden or open in MP 654, the series influences this indirectly; there may be different options inside it. In any case, both screws are available for sale for pennies, and you can easily replace them with the ones you need yourself.

All the magazine's childhood problems, such as problems with the shutter needle, valve, and weak gaskets, were corrected long ago; the cylinder is enough for an honest 80-90 shots. This is quite good, especially taking into account the speed of the shot, which is higher than that of its analogues.

The stated capacity of the magazine is 13 balls, but in fact you can stuff in one more.

Trunk

Another dubious design element is the rifled barrel. In fact, this is rather a minus, since the balls, unlike bullets, do not fit the rifling in principle, dangling instead along the barrel. Naturally, this worsens the accuracy of fire compared to a smooth bore.

Balls, unlike bullets, are sub-caliber projectiles, and the rifling simply throws them in random order

This barrel was chosen to reduce the cost of production, because the plant has huge lines for the production of rifled barrels for the rest of the pneumatics that fire bullets, and the MP 654 became a victim of this optimization. Only rare small series received their own smooth barrel.

But again, talking about accuracy within the framework of pneumatics for recreational shooting, which the MP 654 is, is snobbish. You can shoot accurately from it at a distance of up to 10 meters.

Control nodes

They are similar to those of the firearm versions in appearance and functionality. The only serious complaint is that in the new pistols they fit too tightly, there are burrs on the parts, geometry tolerances, it is uncomfortable to operate with one hand, and sometimes it is completely impossible.

You can put the pistol on the slide stop, but to remove it from it you will have to work hard

Parts, of course, are worn in and developed over time, but IzhMekh should treat its products with more responsibility, even if they are pneumatics.

You can fire either by self-cocking or by pre-cocking the hammer; in the second case, the force on the trigger will be much less, and accordingly the accuracy will increase.

Gun maintenance

Attention! — proper handling of the weapon and its timely maintenance increase the service life and guarantee reliable operation. Methods of maintenance and operation are described in the instructions for the product, and it will help you select the necessary spare part, gasket or other element of the gun.

Tuning

Pneumatic pistols of the MP 654K-32 series are maintainable and reliable pneumatics with a long service life and good performance characteristics. Not only spare parts are sold for weapons, but also parts that improve aesthetic qualities and technical characteristics. Therefore, in order to make the air pistol as similar in appearance as possible to its combat counterpart, the manufacturer left great opportunities for tuning the MP-654K-32-1 - almost any element of the product can be replaced. For a catalog of parts, see the Spare parts section for MP-654K .

You can do the tuning yourself, there is nothing complicated about it, or you can contact us.

Recommendations for saving power BAIKAL MP-654K-32

Since the assembly technology and quality characteristics of this pistol are similar to the combat model, you can experience all the benefits of using the model if you follow a number of recommendations from the manufacturer. To extend the life of a weapon and ensure its high efficiency, it is necessary:

  • Do not make significant efforts when installing the gas cylinder. To install it, you do not need to use any tools or devices;
  • the weapon should not remain charged for more than 12 hours, because this can lead to damage to the locking and sealing rings;
  • To care for weapons, only types of oils specially designed for this purpose should be used, otherwise damage to the sealing rubber may occur;
  • You should not leave the pistol without first putting the safety on and removing the gas cartridge from the magazine;
  • weapons must be stored only in a steel safe, preventing access by unauthorized persons and children.

Remember that only domestically produced models have all the indicated advantages of this type of weapon.
