The only change was the ability to shoot more powerful cartridges, which increased the kinetic energy of the shot to 80 J. Otherwise, all the original characteristics remained the same:

- Fire mode – single;
- Recommended cartridges – 9 mm RA;
- Weight of the pistol when unloaded is 460 grams;
- Length – 158 mm;
- Magazine capacity – 6 charges.
Despite the fact that the lethal force of the weapon has increased, it is still recommended to use this model only for self-defense.

The weapon appeared on the market in 2004, when it was just beginning to be filled with compact traumatic weapons. An attractive feature was the all-steel body, something that manufacturers had not previously offered. It was not possible to compete with Makarych due to its small size, which the consumer perceived as a disadvantage.
I bought an MP pistol as an additional pistol or for self-defense of girls. Some time after the launch of sales, traumatic gun enthusiasts began to realize that the shortened barrel did not greatly affect the shooting efficiency. Compared to Makarych, the difference in kinetic energy was several Joules, which was not actually felt.

“Kopeyka”, in my opinion, is one of the best concealed carry pistols.
Firstly, Groza-01 does not have a safety or slide stop - no protruding parts = complete invisibility under clothing and ease of concealed carry, as well as no need to interact with the safety.
Secondly, this pistol is equipped with a DAO system (double-action only - self-cocking only). Such pistols are considered the safest, since the trigger begins to move only when the trigger is pressed.
Thirdly, Groza-01 of both the first and second generation (before 2018 and, accordingly, after 2022) has an “EVO” barrel, made using off-axis drilling technology. This provides maximum muzzle energy as the bullet does not hit the teeth.
