There is no shortage of melee weapons in video games, but there are weapons that stand out among others.
Shooters are fun, but sometimes you just want to enjoy the battle in close proximity to your opponent. This is where melee weapons come into the conversation. Whether it's fantasy games like The Elder Scrolls or sci-fi shooters like Halo, it's a big challenge to find a melee weapon in the heat of battle.
At the same time, there will always be combat specimens that stand out from others - perhaps because of the level of damage they inflict or simply because of their visual performance. Be that as it may, the important thing is that a combat arsenal should make its owner immensely cool - and melee weapons cope with this function flawlessly.
Royal Key – Kingdom Hearts
Instantly recognizable even to those who haven't played the series, Sora's famous Keyblade is an icon of the Kingdom Hearts franchise—and undoubtedly the coolest key in the gaming world. Even though it does not cause exorbitant damage in any part, its aesthetic component is difficult to overestimate.
However, it is precisely this aesthetic component that prevents the Key from rising any higher on our list, since outside of Kingdom Hearts the Royal Key only acts as a slightly strange or even ridiculous weapon.
Falchion – Fire Emblem Awakening
Having been in the hands of many Fire Emblem series protagonists, Falchion has gone through several visual transformations over the years, but ultimately his design in the 3DS title Fire Emblem Awakening is the best yet. Used by Chrom throughout the game, the blade has a unique design that makes it stand out among the franchise's most stunning visuals.
The biggest downside is that your own character will never get to wield a blade, regardless of class, since the weapon is Chrom-only. However, since you control all the units on the battlefield and Chrom is one of the key characters, such a limitation does not matter too much.
Tsumetogi
- Weapon type : katana.
- Features : electrical damage, can shock, increases resistance to electricity.
If you are not a big fan of using game mechanics such as hacking, then Tsumetogi is the best katana for you . The damage per second of this model is the highest of all available.
By making about five hits per second, the player can cause the Shock . In fact, with so many swings, the gamer has a pretty good chance of causing the enemy to feel the full pain of an electric shock .
If a player prefers to play the role of a samurai or a netrunner with a specialization in quick hacking, then he should take a closer look at Satori or Jinchu-Maru.
Mount – Half-Life
If you've never heard of Half-Life, then the mount may seem like an odd choice for this list, but the silent protagonist of the series, Gordon Freeman, with his high-profile deeds, convinces us that he is right. Using a crowbar for anything from killing aliens to solving puzzles will make anyone feel like a badass.
It’s impossible not to mention the great feeling of satisfaction that comes when a modest mount confidently holds up to the level of all sorts of swords and other abstruse tools. It's just a pity that over the past few years we haven't had a chance to see it again in the hands of Gordon Freeman.
Hidden Blade – Assassin's Creed
The weapon that defined the series as such, the weapon without which the Assassin's Creed franchise cannot exist in one form or another. Since 2007, this wrist-mounted killing machine has become a virtual gaming icon and has inspired many iterations of the concept, from dual hidden blades to a wrist-mounted gun.
And while the recent shift to an "RPG" style of gameplay has diminished the presence of the hidden blade in the series, it's still one of the coolest melee weapons in video game history, which isn't too bad for a small blade made for a stealth project.
Brass knuckles “deer horns”
0
Brass knuckles-knives in the form of two crossed crescents “deer horns” were a formidable dual Chinese weapon used by the creator of the Ba Guazhang school of kung fu, Dong Hai Chuan. There were legends that Chuan, the tax collector, relied only on his knives when traveling, single-handedly dealing with bands of bandits. The technique of using this brass knuckle knife was based on the Ba Guazhang system of unarmed combat, and students were allowed to use exotic weapons only after many years of bare-handed training due to the high likelihood of injury.
Blade Arm – Prototype
Prototype is a huge open world just waiting for players ready to wreak havoc with the all-destructive forces of Alex Mercer. And while Alex is equipped with an assortment of available abilities, few compare to the Blade Arm being so effective against his enemies; and in general, frankly speaking, there are not many things in the world that are cooler than transforming your own hand into a giant sword capable of destroying tanks and helicopters.
While Prototype may seem like a bit of a pretentious game more than a decade after its original release, it's safe to say that Alex Mercer's Blade Arm has earned its place as one of the coolest melee weapons around.
Bangbitsky Jupspitko
This pistol can be obtained during Gizmo's story quest. While looking for live cartridges for the robot, you will find yourself in an old building. The weapon is almost impossible to miss, just slowly inspect all the rooms.
Despite its modest characteristics, this pistol will be very useful in the initial stages of the game. Its standard damage ranges from 82 to 141 units. Low armor penetration is compensated by medium range, high rate of fire, accuracy and reload speed. In addition, the weapon has a large magazine of 36 rounds. The rating is only 1 star, but the gun can be improved.
Energy Sword – Halo
The Halo series Energy Sword is easily one of the deadliest melee weapons in gaming, with its ability to dash towards opponents and take them out en masse with a single blow. The Blade has been featured in every Halo title in one form or another, except that it was not usable in Halo: Combat Evolved.
With Halo 2, however, the energy sword was available to players in both the campaign and multiplayer, although it could only be obtained in the campaign by surviving the Elite's test, who wields the weapon; This means, in turn, that any fighter with an energy sword has earned the right to look so cool, because he killed that same Elite with one of the worst weapons in the series.

Master Sword – The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda hasn't always boasted a wide variety of melee weapons, always having only a few options in its arsenal - at least until the arrival of Breath of the Wild. With the arrival of the last part of the franchise, one thing could be sure: even among the equipment wealth of Breath of the Wild, the Master’s sword will not escape you. The purple hilt and silver blade are easy to recognize wherever you see them.
What's more, the Master's sword is so abundant that it even managed to sneak into Skyrim when it was ported to Switch, and it's just as awesome in the hands of the Dragonborn as it is in the hands of Link.
Blaze Gloves
The gloves can be obtained by completing the Boom side quest. You don't need to invent anything, just follow the task markers.
The gloves deal standard damage from 274 to 299 units and additional fire equal to 35 units, and also have a high attack speed. Rating 3.5 stars.
Saw Ax – Bloodborne
The Saw Ax is one of the most recognizable weapons in Bloodborne and is even available as a starting loadout. Just don't let this "initial" status fool you - the saw-axe is infinitely far from the word "weak". Any hunter armed with this device, which can transform into an extended ax for increased attack range, will be a threat to his opponents.
Featured prominently in almost all of the game's promotional materials, the Saw Ax always looks cool, even when it's not being used to battle the monsters of Yharnam.
Buster Sword – Final Fantasy 7
Being one of the most recognizable weapons in the entire Final Fantasy series is no easy feat, but Cloud's iconic Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7 doesn't leave much of a chance for any of its potential competitors. This giant blade is one of the best weapons in the game and is also a brilliant embodiment of the "giant anime sword" cliche, somehow not looking stupid in either the 1997 original or the 2020 remake.
Simple design and absurd dimensions come together to create one of the coolest swords in the history of gaming, without even trying to stand out. A weapon that simply works - but even with all that, it's not the coolest.
Lump Pinhandle Rolling Pin
Another weapon that can be obtained from a side quest. You need to help a character named Lump Muffin bake biscuits.
During the task you will have to defeat a mini-boss. After completing all the instructions, the reward will be a rolling pin.
Standard damage from 287 to 354 units. Additional fire damage is equal to 125 units. The rolling pin is a one-handed weapon and also has a good attack speed. Rating 3 stars.
Leviathan Ax – God of War
When God of War released in 2018, it was received extremely positively as a game that did it all - however, ask anyone if there is anything about the game that stands out in particular compared to its other merits, and Anyone will remember the Leviathan axe. A departure from Kratos' previous gear, the Leviathan provides the player with a truly unparalleled experience when using it.
Just watching someone wield the Leviathan gives a solid idea of its power, and the way Kratos wields it throughout the game makes the ax the clear winner in the battle for the title of the coolest melee weapon in video game history - and maybe even the title of the coolest ranged weapon, given how much Kratos loves to launch Leviathan at the head of one of his adversaries.
Poisonous bottle of moonshine
Only for the best masters; and toxic!
It has nothing to do with appearance. It's all about the consequences. On impact, it creates a cloud of toxic fumes, suffocating and disorienting enemies. While the toxic moonshine bottle is not initially lethal, the character can be suffocated by the trays.
How to get a Bottle of Toxic Moonshine can be purchased at the Moonshiners Store for $5.00. It can also be crafted after reaching Moonshiner Rank 5 and purchasing the Toxic Moonshine Brochure for $500 and one Fence Role Token.
