Design

A rifle of the airgun family with pre-pumping. The bolt bolt is needed to feed the first bullet into the breech of the barrel. The fuse is mechanical, its flag is located on the left side of the receiver, closer to the buttplate of the mechanism.

The magazine is removable, drum type, of FX Airguns' own design. For rifles of 4.5 mm caliber it holds 16 lead bullets, and for 5.5 - 12. The drum has its own bullet feeding mechanism, cocked during loading.

The barrel is packed into a tube with an integrated sound moderator, which gives the rifle solidity. Inside the tube there is a so-called gas engine - a spring-loaded plastic rod with a piston that receives a portion of compressed gas when the bullet leaves the barrel.

The only sighting devices are a dovetail rail with a width of 11 mm. Due to the fact that the installed magazine extends almost two-thirds out of the receiver, the front part of the rail is practically useless, since the optics must be mounted on very high brackets.

The stock is plastic or walnut (for 5.5 mm caliber models), with a cutout for the thumb and a very embossed Monte Carlo cushion. It is designed for right-handed people only.

Charging and operating principle

Advantages and disadvantages

The ability to fire 16 bullets from a magazine in a few seconds is the main advantage of the rifle. It has not been tested in the field, at least not officially. Therefore, it is difficult to judge the degree of reliability of the reloading mechanism.

A beautiful, high-quality stock (the rifle is available in wood and plastic), with a cutout for the thumb for easy grip. Its design is somewhat unusual due to the abundance of corners - the Monte Carlo pillow is very embossed.

It’s difficult to talk about the shortcomings of a weapon that you don’t want to let go of, but they still exist. The first thing that is striking is the absence of a pressure gauge, which is mandatory for PCP rifles. It is impossible to determine the degree of emptyness of the tank, and the pump must be equipped with such an option, otherwise you will not understand whether the supply cylinder is filled enough.

The rifle's supply drum (magazine) has its own bullet feeding mechanism. It cocks when loading. Of course, this reduces the degree of reliability. In addition, the magazine is installed in the receiver so that two-thirds sticks out of it. The ideal location can be seen in PCP rifles from Air Arms - flush with the body so as not to cling to branches and uneven terrain.

The only sighting device on the rifle is the dovetail rail. It is located between the magazine chamber and the butt plate of the mechanism, and therefore is quite short.
