In almost every review of this rifle, in the description of the device during disassembly, the author draws the reader’s attention to how important it is to carefully remove the trigger mechanism (SM) so that one of the axles does not inadvertently jump out. Is it really that scary? And what to do if the axle has already popped out and a handful of interesting parts suddenly appeared in front of you? Let's try to figure out where this part was located and how it worked. I warn you right away - there are no great discoveries here, so the article will be of interest, perhaps, only to potential or current owners of this rifle, or to those simply curious about how things work (like me). Perhaps the second part is too complicated, but without resorting to the terms “crap” and “crap” I couldn’t explain it more simply and unambiguously. Patience and photos from the first part will help

Design
The Hatsan Stryker 1000S air gun is a logical continuation of the model range of rifles of the 70-90 series. Single-shot pneumatic guns fire by breaking the barrel. The stock is made to a high standard. Taking into account the modification, the butt is made from a plastic composite or Turkish walnut. Regardless of the material of the stock, the gun is equally comfortable to hold for both left-handers and right-handers due to the cheek piece mounted on the butt. There are no gaps, it is comfortable to hold the rifle in your hands, there is noticeable recoil.
The rifled barrel is made to a high standard, using special steel. The sighting device is open type, with fiber optic fibers. The sight can be adjusted horizontally and vertically. On the top of the receiver there is a dovetail strap for attaching an optical sight.
To comply with the established law on air weapons, the Stalker 1000S is delivered to the territory of the Russian Federation with a weakened spring. The factory version is standard, and installing it yourself is no problem.
The gun is a spring-piston gun, that is, shooting occurs thanks to the energy of the spring. Cocking is carried out during the “fracture” of the barrel. Then, when the bullet is inserted and the barrel is in its original position, the air gun is ready to fire.
A new rifle that has just been purchased must be carefully inspected, since grease often remains in the barrel after preservation; it must be removed. Afterwards you need to shoot the weapon, it is best to use magnum series bullets.
The best are cartridges weighing at least 0.55 g. The use of light bullets worsens accuracy, and very heavy ones reduce the effective aiming distance and initial flight speed. The best option is considered to be bullets weighing about 0.69 g.
Part 2. Description of work SM.
Well, now let’s try not only to disassemble and reassemble everything as it was, but also to understand how it all works in principle. So, after the next shot we break the rifle. The cocking lever begins to move back and its special protrusion no longer holds the automatic safety rod, so it, under the action of its own spring, occupies the rearmost position. In this case, the long lower protrusion of the rod becomes opposite the axis of the trigger, preventing rotation of the trigger. The cocking lever, moving backward along the groove of the cylinder, acts on the protrusion bent at a right angle on the manual safety rod and cocks it. The manual safety spring, interacting with the protrusion on the rod, located under the longitudinal cutout for the axis of the upper sear, clearly fixes the “On safety” position. A similar blocking protrusion of the manual safety rod is located above the trigger axis on the other side, also preventing the trigger from turning on the axis. At the same time, when cocking, the piston with its groove sits on the tooth of the spring-loaded upper sear. Return the barrel to its original position. In this case, the lever with its protrusion pulls the automatic safety device forward. The locking tab no longer prevents the trigger from rotating. We press the manual safety button, and its blocking protrusion moves forward. The rifle is off safety. We press the trigger, which rotates on its axis. The trigger axis, located in the trigger, overcomes the force of the spring and raises the lower sear. At a certain moment, the lower sear rotates so much that its protrusion no longer prevents the lowering of the upper sear. The piston presses on the upper sear tooth. A torque appears. The upper sear, no longer restrained from turning by the lower one, lowers. The piston breaks off the upper sear tooth. A shot occurs. We release the trigger, and under the action of its spring it rotates on the axis until its front part rests against the axis of the lower sear. The released lower sear, under the action of its spring, will go down until it stops with the adjusting screw. In turn, the upper sear, no longer held by the piston, under the action of its own spring, will rise to the stop with its protrusion into the cylinder shelf. The cycle repeats.
Thank you for your patience! Whoever mastered it - well done!
Modifications
This model is produced in different modifications. The Khatsan company makes guns with calibers of 4.5, 5.5, 6.35 mm, but taking into account the legislation, only rifles of the smallest caliber are supplied to the territory of the Russian Federation, which are available for purchase without obtaining the necessary permit.
The gun is made in several modifications, which differ in the material used for the butt, as well as minor differences in finishing.
The stock of the Stryker 1000X model is made of wood. To securely hold the gun in your hands so that it does not slip out, there are corrugated linings on the body.
arbalet-airgun
Since we continue to talk about “magnums,” let’s leave aside for now the famous “elephant killers” with indexes 125, the 150 series and the top model. than we dealt with before. For a general overview of the model range of this Turkish company, see the article “Hatsan air rifles”.
“Hatsan” came to me for the same reason that, in addition to the crossbow I already had, I purchased another one, cheaper and simpler. This is the sharply increased popularity of the amateur shooting range and, accordingly, violent protests from the “toads” (this is not a commercial enterprise and you can’t cut the state budget).
In general, I needed a strong rifle that I didn’t mind. The Gamov-Dian clones were not of interest; I wanted something new, unknown. And then there was the anti-Khatsan Internet hysteria.
Khatsan Magnum: a difficult choice
The choice initially fell on the 55th model. Very nice, with a wonderful walnut stock, she, unfortunately, did not stay long.
The butt is too short for me, I couldn’t adapt. If you still wear winter clothes here and there, then with the advent of sudden warming, problems began.
This rifle had no luck at all. Its appearance and short-lived operation occurred at the worst time of the year - mud, slush, rain with or without snow. It was not possible to really shoot.
Time was running out, the field season was approaching, and, having tried a couple more “khachiks,” I had already decided to abandon this idea. In the 80th model, the grip (for me) was quite satisfactory, but, my God! — where did the Turks get the recipe for such disgusting plastic? No photographs can convey the feeling of a Hatsan polymer stock. Cheap Chinese “Smersh” are simply elite against this background.
Possibilities for increasing power
The possibility of increasing power, or more precisely, bringing the characteristics to the initial ones, which are included in the design of the gun at the factory, is provided by the manufacturer, who supplies a reinforced spring in the package. In addition, there are additional upgrade options.
For better balancing, many rifle owners fill a hollow plastic stock with, for example, epoxy, balls of sealant or other materials, evenly distributing the weight distribution.
You can install sound moderators and optics. You can increase the initial speed by replacing a simple coil spring with a gas spring.
Disassembling the air rifle Hatsan Stryker 1000S
Disassembling the gun will not be difficult. You do not need to buy special tools or equipment for this. An ordinary tool found in every household is quite enough.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew 3 bolts, then the barrel with the trigger mechanism is separated from the body.
