Some people think that the US army is very weak and is not able to repel enemies. Others believe that this army is one of the strongest and will not leave opponents of democracy alone, but both of these beliefs are wrong.

American Army Tactical Structure
The US Army is half a million well-armed and trained people. All of them are divided into eleven divisions, several regiments and brigades. The central combat unit of each division includes from two to three brigade tactical units (Brigade Combat team - BCT).

VST differs from a “regular” brigade in that it is completely self-sufficient. She has everything she needs to carry out an armed attack anywhere in the world. They don't have helicopters. They are available only to the CAB - Combat Aviation Brigade (Combat Aviation Group) and special support units that provide technical support and supply of food, gasoline and ammunition.
Brigade tactical groups are divided into many types, but officially there are only three. All three types are the same in structure. They include: three combat battalions, artillery and engineer battalions, a support battalion and a cavalry squadron.
These brigades should not be any different to simplify headquarters management and understand what each brigade is capable of.
Mobile infantry
The third type of military-technical cooperation is IBCT (Infantry Brigade Combat Team - infantry tactical combat units). There are 14 such groups, the most of them in the state army. They only get Humvees and light armored vehicles.

The main infantry units are divided into five airborne subgroups, three air assault subgroups and six conventional ones. In general, their structure is similar, only the scope of training for paratroopers and landing forces in general differs. Standard infantry brigades include: two light infantry groups with jeeps; two for work in conditions in the jungle and tropical wilds.
Control tactical link
The second type of military vehicle is SBCT (Stryker Brigade Combat Team). "Strikers" are armed much stronger than airborne and infantry brigades. The Stryker Brigade Combat Team consists of 4,500 personnel and 300 vehicles ranging from the M1128 light wheeled tank to the conventional M1126, supported by heavy and light artillery.

This group is equipped with new modern electronics and is intended for network-centralized military operations. The essence of the concept of such actions is a unified synchronized management system for military units in the context of the introduction of active hostilities. This system allows you to effectively issue orders and formulate tactical plans, surpassing the enemy in reaction speed and without making much effort. Such a brigade is very mobile and can be deployed to any point on Earth in four days.
Main impact force
The main type is ABCT (Brigade Combat Teams - armored brigade group). They are not as mobile as Strykers. The armored brigade group, due to the presence of heavy equipment, needs ships for transportation. The main strike force consists of fifty thousand people and nine hundred old-style tanks.

The repertoire of this group: 90 Abrams tanks, 90 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles, 112 M113s, 18 M109s, 63 fuel tankers, 10 engineering vehicles and several hundred Hummers.
Features of internal relations
There are five components of America's military:
- Aviation forces.
- Military fleet.
- Coast Guard Forces.
- Marines.
- National Guard.
It would be foolish to call a Marine a “soldier.” As in many other countries, the branches of the military do not always get along with each other. Marines consider all landlubbers to be rats and are proud of being Marines and being considered creepy scumbags. Such that they can be thrown to any corner of the world with minimal resources for life, given old or unusable weapons and believed in victory.
US military strength
Officially, there are a million soldiers in the United States Army, which is half of the feared two million American military force. The million-strong army is divided into three parts:
- The first part is the annual replenishment of the army with volunteer soldiers and future professionals. There are about five hundred thousand of them.
- The second is ten infantry divisions of the Army National Guard, consisting of three hundred and forty-three thousand people, scattered throughout all fifty states of America. They suppress riots, eliminate street riots and eliminate the consequences of various types of natural disasters. Sometimes they are in a real war, where they keep order.
- The remaining one hundred and ninety-nine thousand people are “Weekend Soldiers.” They attend training camps for 14 days once a year and put on their uniforms once a month. It turns out to be a real army of about a million people.
We have not answered the main question: “Is the United States Army strong?”
When the USSR fell, a challenge arose for the US Army. This was no longer a war of equals, but the pacification of enemies in remote regions, and this required many ultra-mobile infantrymen with the support of light aircraft and helicopters. It began to seem that the US Army looked like a bunch of carefree and yawning light infantry.

There are huge gaps in the military budget in America. Until a certain point, there were four brigade groups, which included all the divisions of the army, but the Pentagon thought that this was too many. The imbalance in the budget creates well-known difficulties in the management of army formations. Now the government of this country is working hard to develop measures to eliminate the deficit, but this is unlikely to help the huge and gluttonous US military machine.
There are some nuances here...
It’s not a matter of those fierce two hundred thousand Marines who are still ready to support, in their words, “land rats” despite their hatred of them. The US Army itself will never fight with various factions. Individual operations will always be accompanied by helicopters, airplanes and the navy.
The most terrible and effective system for opponents is “network-centric warfare.” America has an excellent intelligence system, somewhat unreal. Here, as in computer games, the places where the positions of allied heroes and enemy units are located are plotted on the map. In the vast majority of cases, US Army units receive information about the location, composition and actions of enemy forces much earlier than the enemy receives similar information. This gives a huge advantage in the speed of reaction and decision-making. The best equipment and even the most experienced and brave soldiers will not help you win the war without having information about the battlefield and the actions of the enemy.

Finally, the American military should not be underestimated. Many opponents were confident in the weakness and cowardice of American soldiers (remember, for example, Zhirinovsky’s memorable speech in Iraq), but one must understand that underestimating the enemy is the first step to defeat.
The average soldier in the American army is a stern Joe or Jack from the American outback. Pampered New Yorkers rarely serve in combat units. This guy is no stranger to difficulties, he is not whimsical. He is well trained, trains a lot, and is perfectly equipped with everything he needs. He sincerely loves his country, perhaps he believes in the ideals of democracy, or perhaps he simply believes that “my country is wrong, but this is my country” and this Joe or Jack is quite capable of courageously fighting, even if not for democracy, but for his country or just for myself and for my friend Jim.
