Video review of the Umarex Heckler & Koch P30 air pistol:
A powerful pistol from Umarex with an amazing design. It fires both 4.5mm bullets and pellets, with the pellets loaded into a drum and the pellets into a full-size magazine.
The barrel in the Umarex Heckler & Koch P30 pistol is made of steel, it is rifled and thick-walled. It is recommended to use only lead ammunition with it.
If you shoot bullets from pneumatics, then they must be loaded into an 8-charging drum and placed in the drum compartment. The pistol's in-line magazine, which is part of a full-size magazine (it also holds a canister), holds 15 spherical bullets .
The pneumatic shutter of the Umarex H&K P30 is made of metal. By pressing the key that simulates the shutter stop, part of the shutter moves forward, revealing the drum compartment above the vertical trigger. After loading the bullets into the drum and installing them in the pistol, you must use muscular force to latch the front part of the bolt to the firing position.
The safety in the Umarex Heckler & Koch P30 is located at the rear of the bolt, it moves in a plane, perpendicular. Its firing position is on the left; in the safe position, the safety does not extend beyond the bolt.
The projectile flight speed declared by the manufacturer is 120 m/s . The online pneumatics store Popadiv10.RU shot a Umarex Heckler & Koch P30 pistol through a chronograph and measured the flight speed of the bullet and lead ball in one of the video reviews; you can see the test results below.
The full-size magazine is removed by pressing a key that coincides with the bottom of the trigger guard. The key extends on both sides, so the pistol will be fully suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people.
The cylinder compartment is part of a full-size mechanism. One can is enough for 70-75 shots . The cylinder is fixed, punched and pressed with a rotating heel, as in many other models of Umarex pistols produced in Germany.
An open dark-colored sight consisting of a front sight and rear sight is used as a sighting device on the pistol. The H&K P30 model has the option of attaching a tactical flashlight or a laser sight.

The HK P30 pistol is the latest development of the German company Heckler und Koch Gmbh. Its production began in 2006; its prototype was the non-production HK P3000 pistol, first shown at international arms exhibitions a year earlier. The P30 pistol is a further development of the rather successful “police” pistol HK P2000; The P30 is also positioned by the manufacturing company primarily as a “police” weapon, allowing the pistol to be maximally adapted both to the general requirements of a particular service (by choosing different options for the trigger mechanism) and to a specific shooter (by selecting handle elements of the desired shape from supplied kit).
The HK P30 pistol uses a Browning-type automatic pistol that uses recoil energy with a short barrel stroke. Locking during firing is ensured by the engagement of one lug in the breech of the barrel with the bolt through the window for ejecting cartridges. The reduction of the barrel when unlocked is ensured by a figured cutout in the boss under the barrel, interacting with the axis of the bolt stop. The pistol frame is made of impact-resistant plastic. The trigger mechanism is made in the form of a separate, replaceable module, and the company offers six trigger options (see below). The pistol grip is also made modular, with replaceable butt plates and side cheeks of the grip. Each pistol comes with a set of three butt pads and pairs of cheek pads, designated according to their sizes, S (small), M (medium) and L (large). The pistol frame is in the front part. under the barrel, it is made in the form of a Picatinny rail type guide, and allows for mounting accessories such as a laser pointer or flashlight. Sights are fixed. with luminous inserts for easy aiming in the dark. The slide stop levers and magazine latches are duplicated on both sides of the weapon.
Options for the trigger mechanism of the HK P30 pistol:
HK P30
(basic version): The pistol has a trigger with a spoke, however, the mainspring is not directly connected to the trigger, but through a special part - the cocker.
After the shot, the mainspring and cocker are fixed with a cocked sear, and the trigger remains pulled. When you press the trigger, the hammer is cocked with a small (about 2 kg) force on the trigger, and then the sear is released and the mainspring acts through the cocking mechanism on the hammer, firing a shot. This ensures increased safety when handling the weapon (the trigger is always pulled) with a low trigger pull. If it is necessary to remove the mainspring from cocking without firing a shot, you need to press the safety release button located on the rear end of the bolt next to the trigger. If the mainspring has been removed from the firing pin, then the first shot can be fired by self-cocking with greater trigger force (about 5 kg), subsequent shots will be fired with less trigger force. HK P30 V1
: similar to the basic P30, but the trigger does not have a spoke and there is no safety release button;
thus, the only way to decock the mainspring is to perform a dry release, without a cartridge in the barrel HK P30 V2
: similar to the V1 version, but the trigger force is artificially increased to 3.3 kg
HK P30 V3
: traditional self-cocking trigger mechanism (single / double action) and a hammer directly connected to the mainspring.
The safety trigger button is located at the rear end of the bolt. HK P30 V4
: Same as V1, but artificially increased trigger pull to 2.8 kg
HK P30 V5
: Traditional per-shot self-cocking trigger (double action only), 3.7 kg trigger pull
HK P30 V6
: Same as variant V5, but the trigger force is artificially raised to 4 kg

Pneumatic Heckler & Koch P30 from Umarex
The Heckler & Koch P30 pistol is considered by many to be one of the best combat pistols. This model, created by German gunsmiths, has an excellent combination of combat and performance qualities. The pistol is modern, and by historical standards it was developed relatively recently, in 2006. The manufacturer presents the P30 as a police pistol, but the model is also popular in the civilian weapons market. Employees of the German Federal Customs Office are armed with a pistol. The pistol is also supplied to US police departments and other law enforcement agencies around the world.
The pneumatic model Heckler & Koch P30 from Umarex has not only the original name, but also the exact appearance of its prototype. The same combination of materials is used. The frame of the air pistol, like its firearm counterpart, is made of impact-resistant plastic, and the bolt is metal. The weight of the P30 combat model without cartridges is 740 grams, and the pneumatic version is 750 grams. The pistol has a plastic handle of a comfortable shape, with a rough texture on the side surfaces.
The peculiarity of this model is that the pistol fires two types of ammunition. With 4.5 mm lead bullets and steel balls. For bullets there is a drum-clip designed for 8 charges. And the magazine located in the pistol grip is loaded with 15 balls. The pistol comes in a plastic case. Includes instructions, two clips for 8 bullets, a plastic insert for shooting balls, a cleaning rod for bullets, and a spare rubber gasket for the magazine.
The clip for firing bullets is located in the receiver. To access the clip installation location, you need to press the shutter stop lever. This will move part of the shutter forward and open up space for the clip. Bullets are inserted into the drum from the side of the gear wheel. If the bullets are not inserted all the way, then the small plastic cleaning rod included in the kit is used to push the bullet through. Once the ammunition is loaded, the clip is inserted into place and the front of the bolt is snapped into position.
To fire steel balls, instead of a clip, a special plastic adapter is inserted into the receiver, which also comes with the pistol. That is, when shooting balls, the clip is removed and a plastic insert is installed in its place.
Spherical bullets of 4.5 mm caliber, loaded into the magazine. It is removed from the handle by pressing the lever located at the base of the trigger guard. The magazine has a push-button ball feeder lock. When firing lead bullets, the button is pressed on one side of the magazine and blocks the ball rammer. When it is intended to fire steel balls, the button is pressed on the other side of the magazine, releasing the ball rammer. In this case, the rammer moves down and is held with a finger, and the balls are loaded into the magazine opening.
The cylinder is also installed in the pistol magazine, since it immediately includes a clip for balls, a valve mechanism and a compartment for the cylinder. Installation of the cylinder occurs in two stages. First, the magazine heel is rotated in the direction of the "Open" arrow, and the brass wheel is rotated down to completely accommodate the cartridge. Then the can is inserted into the compartment and pressed by this wheel. Now the heel of the magazine turns back in the “Power” direction, thereby puncturing and final pressing of the cylinder. The loaded magazine is inserted into the pistol grip.
The safety of the pneumatic P30 is made in the form of a button that passes through the pistol's slide. By pressing the button on the right side, the pistol is removed from the safety. The button will appear on the left, and a red border will be visible on it, warning that the gun is off. By pressing this button on the left, the pistol is put on safety. In this case, neither the trigger nor the trigger is blocked and you can cock the hammer and trigger the trigger. But the safety mechanism is designed in such a way that a curtain will appear near the valve stem, on which the trigger will hit. That is, when releasing the trigger does not reach the valve and the shot does not occur.
At the back of the pistol, on the left near the trigger, there is another button. With its help, the pistol can be decocked without firing a shot. If the trigger is cocked, then pressing this button releases the trigger without firing a shot.
