Description of the air rifle Junker-4, folding stock, L-327:
The name air rifle usually connotes an air rifle with the outline of a gun. However, there are pneumatic models that have the appearance of a military automatic weapon. This option is the Junker 4 air rifle, which has the external characteristics of a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
More precisely, the Junker 4 is a copy of the AK 74M assault rifle, although there are copies of the Junker with the external characteristics of the AK-105. The internal parts, mechanism details and operating principle of these pneumatic models are the same, and there are only some differences in appearance. The receiver of the air rifle is made of steel, and parts used in the production of real assault rifles are used.
The Junker 4 is produced at the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant, where Kalashnikov assault rifles are also manufactured. Accordingly, the pneumatic model has almost the same weight and size characteristics, and incomplete disassembly and reassembly is carried out similarly to the combat prototype.
Like the AK-74M, the Junker 4 model has a plastic stock that folds to the left. To fold the stock, you need to press the metal button located on the body of the machine gun, above the handle. To return the stock to the open state, the button on the end of the stock is pressed. This button also slightly opens the round window at the end of the butt, for a pencil case with tools. By the way, a pencil case is included with the air rifle.
In addition to the pencil case, Junker 4 is equipped with a set of spare gaskets and an instruction sheet. Separately, you can find a belt for sale, as well as an AK 6x5 bayonet, so the pneumatic model can be turned into a completely entourage mock-up of the AK-74M, which will take its rightful place in the interior. Moreover, you can also shoot from it.
Now about the pneumatic filling of the Junker 4. A module with a valve mechanism and a compartment for a CO2 cylinder is built into the machine body and is located at the installation site of the horn magazine. The cylinder is inserted into the compartment, then pierced and pressed by rotating the clamping screw handle. When installing the horn, the valve mechanism is visually hidden.
The magazine is located in the horn, and is a long plate, like some pistol magazines for steel balls. To charge it, it is removed from the horn. The ball feeder moves down, and the magazine is filled with 30 pieces of ammunition. Then the magazine is inserted inside the horn, from the front edge and secured with a latch, and the horn itself is fastened in the same way as on a combat machine gun.
Junker 4 is designed to fire single shots; accordingly, the fire selector has two positions - “safety” and “single fire”. The translator is located in the same way as on the AK-74, and switches in the same way, only it has two positions. In the upper position the model is on safety and the release is blocked. When switching down – single shooting mode.
The Junker 4 air rifle fires self-cocking, that is, you only need to pull the trigger. The trigger is quite easy, so you can fire high-speed shots with single shots. It must be said that the rifle has good accuracy, especially considering that it fires not with bullets, but with steel balls.
The power is really small, and the initial speed of the bullet is 90-100 m/sec. In principle, this is enough for shooting at a typical distance for pneumatics, 10-12 meters. And the muzzle energy of up to 3J allows you to purchase this entourage model of pneumatics, without licenses or permits.
