Tikka has introduced three new T3x models: T3x Super Varmint, T3x Lite Roughtech Ember and T3x Varmint Hunter. Each is a reimagining of existing designs, but also provides a more detailed variation for shooters looking for the perfect rifle to suit their tastes. And while they have some intriguing quirks, they all share common features that are common to the T3x rifles.
Tikka T3x Super Varmint
The long-loved and versatile T3, Tikka has finally introduced the Super Varmint to the T3x line. The stock is something that makes both hunters and precision shooters salivate. Fully adjustable in length of pull and comb height, the rifle adapts to any shooter. Additionally, the Roughtech synthetic stock has a tactile surface texture for better grip no matter the weather conditions. Also worth noting is the 58.4cm Varmint profile barrel, 5/8-24 threaded choke, two-stage trigger and checkered bolt with oversized grip. The T3x Super Varmint is chambered in .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, 6.5×55 SE, .270 Winchester, 7 mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC.
Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech Ember
Designed for maximum convenience in the field, the T3x Lite is a favorite of hunters and shooters who demand nimble iron. As the name suggests, the Roughtech Ember enhances the platform with a custom Tikka stock finish. In addition, the manufacturer saved several tens of grams by equipping the rifle with a fluted stainless steel barrel. Tikka has not yet revealed the rifle's weight or other specifications, but if it matches the T3x Lite, the new model will be lightweight. The older model weighs from 2.7 to 3 kg depending on the caliber. As for Roughtech Ember cartridges, this question also remains under a veil of secrecy. Following the original Lite model, it is expected to be offered in .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, .270 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Winchester Short Magnum, .300 Winchester Short Magnum and 6.5 PRC.
Tikka T3x Varmint Hunter

Both the .223 Remington and .22-250 Remington have multiple twist options, with the latter caliber being a little more interesting because in addition to the typical 1:14″ thread, it is also available in 1:8″ thread. This is quite rare for production rifles, and they have enormous potential, which implies that the rifle will be able to stabilize heavier bullets, in the region of 80 grain; Given that the .22-250 has sufficient case capacity, the Varmint Hunter can shoot out to 1.5 km.
