Repair

When using any weapon, it may need repair:

In general, there are no differences between the previously mentioned models. This is the same “Thunderstorm”, intended for conducting defensive actions in the event of emergency situations. But its tactical and technical characteristics were slightly changed during the development of the pistol, which played some role in the use of weapons. Otherwise, among the areas of application of the pistol one can name not only self-defense from criminal elements and dangerous animals, but also the possibility of sporting target shooting. For this purpose, ammunition of the appropriate (9 mm) caliber is used.

They are adjustable in two planes at once: displacement is possible both in the horizontal plane and in the vertical. Features of the revolver "Groza R-04"

A distinctive feature of the design of this weapon from other types of revolvers is that the Thunderstorm has a longer barrel, as well as the ability to adjust the sighting device in the horizontal and vertical directions. The difference between the Groza R-04S revolver and the Groza R-04 revolver is the frame made of TsAM special alloy. The parameters are also different: the body length of the R-04S revolver is 243 mm, and the R-04 is 237 mm; barrel dimensions - 102 mm for R-04S and 101 mm for R-04; The height of the R-04S body is 148 mm, and the height of the R-04 revolver is 136 mm. The number of charges in the drum is also the same - 6. The caliber of the charges is 9 mm RA, the bullet output energy tolerance is a maximum of 80 J.

Both revolvers have great accuracy, and therefore are best used for sports and training shooting. However, they can also protect themselves from attacks by dangerous animals and robbers. True, due to the length of the barrel, carrying such a weapon every day, and especially in the summer, is problematic, but in the fall or winter in a holster or pouch is a completely possible option.

Assembly/disassembly, warranties and additions

The sequence for disassembling the pistol is as follows:

remove magazine; move the fuse to the off position; twist the bolt to make sure there is no cartridge in the chamber; Press the slide stop axis from right to left and remove it from the frame; Pull the bolt back all the way and lift its rear part from the guides; remove the bolt from the barrel, carefully pushing it forward; pull out the return spring.

The reverse sequence is used when assembling the pistol.

Ammunition

“Groza” is a pistol using 9 mm PA caliber cartridges. Today, this traumatic cartridge with various energies is the cheapest and therefore the most widespread. The “Groza” series pistols are suitable for cartridges of various energy sources from different manufacturers. The weapon uses gas and rubber cartridges.

To choose the type of cartridge, you need to know the purpose of its use. It must be taken into account that the higher the bullet speed, the lower the accuracy of fire. In this regard, sports cartridges have lower energy than standard ones.

According to the conditions of certification of Russian weapons, when sold, pistols are equipped with a magazine capacity limiter of up to ten rounds. By registering the purchased weapon, the owner has the opportunity to remove the limiter and increase the magazine capacity of the Thunderstorm-03 pistol to 17 rounds, and in other models - up to 15.

In order to increase ammunition, the owner of a pistol can purchase additional magazines for his weapon.

Purpose of the revolver

The “GROZA R-04S” and “GROZA R-04” revolvers are personal self-defense weapons designed to fire 9 mm RA caliber cartridges loaded with tear gas and (or) traumatic rubber bullets. Revolvers can be used with traumatic cartridges with energy of 30, 50 and 80 J.

Groza pistols have a fairly simple design mechanism, which allows you to quickly and easily disassemble the weapon.

A design feature of the Groza pistols is the installation of a special bushing behind the part in the chamber, which prevents the firing of a live cartridge, that is, metal bullets cannot be used for firing. Also, the automatic operation mechanism prevents the possibility of sticking the cartridge.

"Groza R" revolvers are considered ideal weapons intended for sport and defense against attack. All samples of this weapon are united by high strength, shooting accuracy, reliability, and low weight. All models of Groza trauma revolvers are equipped with a double-action trigger mechanism.

Let's take a closer look at what types of thunderstorm injury 021 there are and how they differ.

Groza 021 cartridges deserve special attention. Shooting is allowed with all types of the corresponding caliber 9mm RA - noise, gas, with a rubber bullet, but the weapon’s automatics are configured so that they only work when using rubber projectiles.

Ammunition released after July 2011 has a muzzle energy value not exceeding 110-120 J, at which the pressure in the barrel may also not be enough for the full cycle of automatic operation - reloading.

In the case of Groza 021 evo, the barrel design was specially changed: the developers changed its throughput. As a result, the muzzle energy and power of the gun were reduced and a weakening transverse groove was made in the lower part, immediately behind the chamber.

Groza R-03: technical characteristics

This revolver, as well as its improved version, the Groza R-03S revolver, is excellent for self-defense. Just like R-02 and R-02S, they differ from each other only in parameters. The Groza R-03S and R-02S have frames made of special alloy. More detailed technical characteristics of these two revolvers are as follows:

• Case length – 206 mm for R-03 and 217 mm for R-03S;
• Revolver barrel length – 76 mm;
• Case height – 136 mm for R-03 and 148 mm for R-03S;
• Case width – 37 mm for both revolvers;
• Unloaded weight – 740 g for R-03 and 890 g for R-03S;

• The kinetic energy of the bullet is up to 80 J.

Additionally, it should be clarified that the R-03 has a blued color, while the R-03S is mounted from stainless steel and nickel-plated.

The disadvantage of these samples is that although their barrels exceed the diameter and length of the Groza R-02 barrel, the muzzle energy output is less than that of other revolvers in this series. However, due to the reliability, durability and balanced sight, these revolvers are excellent for self-defense, as well as for competitive shooting.

Recycling or reconstruction?

Probably everyone already knows that many models of combat pistols found their application with the advent of traumatic weapons. Morally, these models are truly outdated. In conditions of a real military conflict, they could hardly help in any way. But when it came to the recycling process, some questions arose.

The main problem, of course, was that disposing of these weapons was quite expensive in terms of finances. It turned out to be much simpler and cheaper to convert these weapons to traumatic types. Shooting

To zero a pistol, it is better to give the weapon to a specialist, since for this procedure it must be secured in the machine or shots must be fired from a hard stop. Shooting during zeroing should be carried out from a five-meter distance at a 30-centimeter target with cartridges having an energy of 50 J.

The general rules for shooting are as follows:

1. If, during zeroing, the bullet deviates to the right or left horizontally, then you need to simultaneously shift the front sight in the direction of the bullet deflection and the rear sight in the opposite direction, selecting the amount of displacement experimentally.
2. If the bullet deviates downwards from the target, there is a high probability of poor shooting skill.
3. If, with good skills, the bullet still deflects downwards, then a smaller front sight and a larger rear sight are installed using the selection method. If it's up, it's the other way around.

Weapon material

“Groza” is a pistol developed on the basis of service and combat weapons with a caliber of 9x17 and 9x18 mm. The assembly of these weapons is carried out using the same elements and parts that are used for service and combat types of pistols. The exception is the barrel, which is specially adapted for shooting rubber bullets.

The material from which the frame is made can be steel or polymer. This does not in any way affect the strength characteristics of the pistol. Most modern types of non-combat weapons are manufactured using polymer materials, which is justified for several reasons:

• this allows for a significant reduction in the weight of pistols;
• Comfort is achieved with constant wearing;
• the price of the product is greatly reduced;
• a polymer frame is more aesthetically pleasing;
• polymer frame makes it possible to use replaceable attachments on the handle and attachments;
• the polymer is not subject to corrosion;
• such a frame does not change its geometry when a compression force is applied to it, since it is more durable.

Design

The reliable design of the revolver provides the ability to fire six guaranteed shots, regardless of the quality of the cartridges or the operation of the automation. Quick reloading of the revolver and continuation of continuous shooting is carried out through the use of clips (clips) of six cartridges each. Loading the revolver with six cartridges and removing six spent cartridges is carried out simultaneously by pressing one button on the revolver drum extractor. The revolver is equipped with two clips (clips).

The trigger mechanism of a hammer-type double-action (SA/DA) revolver. Firing the first shot is possible both with pre-cocking and self-cocking.

The revolver can be equipped with additional replaceable grips (handles) of different sizes and materials, which will allow you to get maximum convenience and pleasure from shooting.

According to its data, this version of the injury is the most powerful of all varieties of Thunderstorm revolvers. The parameters of this type of revolver, however, do not allow you to hide the weapon on yourself, but it is also suitable for self-defense from attack. The fact that its sighting mechanics are adjustable horizontally and vertically makes the revolver also an excellent weapon for training in shooting accuracy.

A distinctive feature of the Groza R-06 and Groza R-06S revolvers is their 6-inch barrel. Analogs of Groza 021

The most famous analogue of Groza 021 is the Ukrainian Fort-12:

1. The components of the samples in question are almost identical - it was this that served as the basis for the Russian popular traumatoma.

The Groza-04 traumatic pistol, which is convenient to carry in a holster, was developed on the basis of the famous Fort-17T gun. The remaining parts and mechanisms, which are subject to high loads during shooting, are made of durable steel to reduce the likelihood of their breakage. The barrel is attached to the frame.

The trigger mechanism is also standard for the entire line of Groz traumatic weapons. It has a double action and is made of a trigger type and has an open position. In addition, there is a safety cocking mechanism.

To prevent an accidental shot in the owner's pocket or during a fall, the Groza-04 traumatic pistol, the magazine of which holds 15 rounds, is equipped with a safety catch. Its lever is located in a place convenient for the shooter: on the left side of the rear part of the bolt casing. Activation and deactivation of the safety is carried out by a slight movement of the thumb.

The sighting mechanism is classic and does not move. It consists of a front sight and rear sight, to which lateral corrections can be made with an offset. The magazine of the traumatic pistol, which is sold with a holster, holds 15 cartridges, which are stacked in 2 rows, but during shooting they are rearranged into one row. On the left side of the frame at the base of the trigger guard there is a magazine latch.

Assembly/disassembly

The assembly of thunderstorm pistols is carried out in stages, as well as disassembly. Starting with disassembly, the following steps are distinguished:

1. Removing the cartridge magazine, which is located under the handle.
2. On the right side of the pistol, you need to press the slide stop axis using a magazine or rubbing and remove it.
3. The bolt carrier must be moved to the rear position and the rear edge raised - this will allow it to be removed.
4. Next, you need to stick out the guide axle with the spring on it and separate them.

Ready! This way you will not completely disassemble the pistol. To put it back together, you need to follow the steps in reverse order.

Trunks

The “Groza” pistols are equipped with barrels of different versions due to the fact that the quality and performance characteristics are constantly improving and require new developments. Modifications of trunks differ in outer diameter and design:

• V1 – 11.5 mm.
• V2 – 12.5 mm.
• V3 – 12.5 mm with increased gap between teeth.
• V4 “OKO” – 12.5 mm. The barrel does not have pressed or welded teeth, which increases its service life. Elements that distinguish it from other modifications are longitudinal internal slots visible from the end of the barrel.

The name “OKO” is due to the fact that the barrel element - the non-coaxial drilling bushing - looks like an eye in the light, although it has a round channel that is slightly offset at the outlet and inlet. The chamber has no alignment relative to the axis of the barrel.

It is worth noting that the energy of the pistol depends on the length of the barrel: the longer, the greater the speed of the rubber bullet. Due to the elongated barrels, the “Groza-03” and “Groza-05” models have increased energy levels when firing.

The “Groza” R-02S revolver is supplied in a case made of plastic. There you can find several things at once that will be useful during the operation of the weapon. This, of course, is a user manual, in which everything is described in detail in the language appropriate for the delivery set, a cleaning rod that is useful for cleaning the barrel. There are also two clips into which cartridges will be inserted. They are made of metal materials. By the way, you need to take them seriously if you don’t want to pay extra money. The thing is that you can, of course, buy a new clip (or, as it is also called in English, a “moon clip”). But it only costs, by different standards, from 700 to 1000 rubles.

The traumatic revolver “Groza” occupies a special place among domestic injuries. Revolvers from the “Groza R” series, like pistols from this series, are produced as self-defense weapons and as sporting weapons. The domestic company currently produces eight types of these weapons. All revolvers from the “Thunderstorm” series have differences in design and technical parameters. In order to choose the most suitable model from this series for use, it is worth considering all the options offered by the manufacturer.

"Groza R" revolvers are considered ideal weapons intended for sport and defense against attack. All samples of this weapon are united by high strength, shooting accuracy, reliability, and low weight. All models of Groza trauma revolvers are equipped with a double-action trigger mechanism.

Models differ in weight, barrel length, frame material, handle shape, and body color. Not all models have adjustment on the sighting mechanism.

Characteristics and features of the Groza R-02 revolver

Like other models of revolvers from the Groza R series, the Groza R-02 revolver is available in two modifications - R-02 and R-02C, which differ from each other in the material from which their frames are made. For R-02 it is made of steel, and for R-02S the frame is made of TsAM. Both models have a barrel diameter of 51 mm. As for the caliber of their ammunition, it is designated as 9mm RA, and their drums hold 6 charges. The R-02 case is 176 mm long, 129 mm high, 37 mm wide, its weight without ammunition is 700 g. The color of the case is black burnished.

The R-02S trauma unit has the following parameters:

The Groza R-02 revolver has a very reliable design, which allows it to fire all shots without misfires. You can quickly reload the weapon by easily changing the clip - one click on the drum extractor is enough for all used cartridges to easily jump out of their sockets. The trigger trigger, like all revolvers of the revolver design, is a double-action trigger type. The first shot can be fired by self-cocking, or even when the hammer is pre-cocked.

Groza R-03: technical characteristics

This revolver, as well as its improved version, the Groza R-03S revolver, is excellent for self-defense. Just like R-02 and R-02S, they differ from each other only in parameters. The Groza R-03S and R-02S have frames made of special alloy. More detailed technical characteristics of these two revolvers are as follows:

• Case height – 136 mm for R-03 and 148 mm for R-03S;
• Case width – 37 mm for both revolvers;

Additionally, it should be clarified that the R-03 has a blued color, while the R-03S is mounted from stainless steel and nickel-plated.

The disadvantage of these samples is that although their barrels exceed the diameter and length of the Groza R-02 barrel, the muzzle energy output is less than that of other revolvers in this series. However, due to the reliability, durability and balanced sight, these revolvers are excellent for self-defense, as well as for competitive shooting.

Features of the revolver "Groza R-04"

A distinctive feature of the design of this weapon from other types of revolvers is that the Thunderstorm has a longer barrel, as well as the ability to adjust the sighting device in the horizontal and vertical directions. The difference between the Groza R-04S revolver and the Groza R-04 revolver is the frame made of TsAM special alloy. The parameters are also different: the body length of the R-04S revolver is 243 mm, and the R-04 is 237 mm; barrel dimensions - 102 mm for R-04S and 101 mm for R-04; The height of the R-04S body is 148 mm, and the height of the R-04 revolver is 136 mm. The mass of the R-04S trauma revolver without bullets is 990 g, and the R-04 trauma revolver is 790 g. The R-04S differs from the R-04 in its design - black blued stainless steel with a nickel plated finish. The case width for both R-04 and R-04C is the same - 36 mm.

The number of charges in the drum is also the same - 6. The caliber of the charges is 9 mm RA, the bullet output energy tolerance is a maximum of 80 J.

Both revolvers have great accuracy, and therefore are best used for sports and training shooting. However, they can also protect themselves from attacks by dangerous animals and robbers. True, due to the length of the barrel, carrying such a weapon every day, and especially in the summer, is problematic, but in the fall or winter in a holster or pouch is a completely possible option.
