The best Mk 47 Mutant Builds – A lot of power for little money
Fact check: The Mk 47 Mutant is an AR platform that you feed with the 7.62×39 caliber. In Tarkov this was previously reserved for very few AK variants and the SKS.
First, for this guide, as well as for the low-budget and meta-build of the mutant, it should be said: You must have activated the flea market. The weapon itself currently costs around 120,000 rubles there – so not a bargain.

New Mode: Training Zone
Added a practice mode where you can practice various aspects of the game.
— The training mode map has a size of 2x2, on it you can freely practice all the actions necessary on the battlefield.
— You can enter this mode by clicking the “Training Mode” button in the lobby.
— When there are more than 5 players in the queue for this mode, the training starts. You can join a match of other players within 5 minutes after the match starts. The largest number of players is 20.
— If there are less than 5 players in the queue for training, the selection will last 5 minutes.
- If after 5 additional minutes there are still less than 5 people in the queue, the match will start with that number of players, and others will no longer be able to join it.
— The total duration of the match in this mode is 30 minutes. For example, if you immediately find a match, you will have 5 minutes during which other players can join the game, and the standard time in training mode is 25 minutes, for a total of 30 minutes.

Modding is essential: the Mk 47 Mutant in its standard version is already one of the best weapons in Escape From Tarkov. But that doesn't mean that we can't improve it. Modding can improve any gun and that's why we're showing you a low budget build and a meta build for the Mk 47 Mutant.
New exclusive vehicle for the Sanhok map: Tukshai
— A new exclusive transport has been added to the Sanok map. Tukshai is a transport for 3 people, which will replace the UAZ, Dacia and Minibus.

- You can level up and receive rewards as you fill your survival bar with experience.
— Tasks will be updated every day and every week.

Redesign of the BP system
— If previously rewards were given only based on rating, now the system will also take into account the time spent in the game.

— Now, when calculating rewards, the number of fighters in the squad is taken into account.
- It will no longer be possible to gain 4x the BP while being the only squad member.
Game process
— Added a new module: laser target designator.

— The button assignments for this option can be changed in the game settings.
— All squad members will see this mark, and it will appear on their compasses.
— After installing a tag, you will have to wait 2 seconds before installing a new one - this is done in order to prevent continuous tag spam.
— The mark that appears on the compass will automatically disappear after 5 seconds.
— If the positions of the marks are approximately the same, the one closest to you will be located slightly higher.
- Improved magnetic field effects.
- The boundaries of the blue zone are now more clearly displayed as a magnetic field. This field will be visible from a greater distance than before.
- Previously, blue zone effects varied depending on the map and weather. We've improved this effect so it looks the same regardless of distance or visibility.

Americans made a “mutant” from AK-47
The Americans crossed the AR-15 self-loading rifle and our legendary AK-47. The result was the MK47 “Mutant”. Why did they need it, and most importantly, what came out of it?
Presentation "Mutant"
According to a long-standing tradition, at the end of January of this year, the world's largest exhibition of equipment and equipment for hunting and shooting sports - SHOT Show-2015 - was held in the largest conference hall in Las Vegas. It lasted four days. Organizers said traffic this year was the same as before, indicating continued interest. In total, 60 thousand different exhibits were presented, including samples of new and modernized weapons. Most of all the visitors were interested in the stand where the MK47 “Mutant” was positioned. As correspondent Brendan McGarry said, this weapon was an obvious attempt to take all the best from the designs of the M-4 and Kalashnikov, which, by the way, is extremely popular in the United States. The advertising brochures directly stated that designer Brandon Novotny and his colleagues succeeded. In particular, it is said about the “Mutant” that it was created “from two of the greatest weapons platforms in the world.” It is interesting that the video about the MK47 “Mutant” begins with a parade of the Soviet Army, which was called invincible precisely thanks to the Kalashnikov.
Was there a boy?
It is known about the MK47 “Mutant” that its barrel length is 40.9 cm. The “Russian cartridge 7.62x39 mm” is used as ammunition. The assault rifle can be equipped with a CMMG S.V. muzzle brake. or compensator A2. By the way, the magazine “ejection” system was taken from Kalashnikov, which, according to CMMG experts, is recognized as the best in the world. Tests have shown that the Mutant has the accuracy of an AR-15. The general consensus is that despite its compact size, the MK47 “Mutant” looks muscular but feels comfortable in the hands. “Those who have held an AK-47 in their hands will not feel the difference when they take the MK47,” says Brandon Novotny, who announced the phenomenal reliability of his brainchild.
However, experts are confused by the fact that the MK47 retains all the “main components of the AR-15 rifle,” which is precisely the type that suffers from failures in the difficult conditions of real protracted battles. Most likely, we are talking about an attempt to “persuade the Pentagon” to make the MK47 the main weapon of the American infantry, or to “displace the AK-47 from the market of third countries, trying to get dividends on the Kalashnikov brand.” Brendan McGarry believes that CMMG will make good money on this anyway.
Reviews
Following the exhibition, Brandon Novotny said that the demand for the MK47 “Mutant” is very high, despite the high price - $1,500 for the simplest “T” version and $1,849 for the “sophisticated” MK 47 “Mutant” AKM2 assault rifle. By the way, the pilot batch of 500 machines, which arrived in all CMMG stores, has not yet been sold out. Partially the answer to this question can be found on various forums.
“The price of ammunition is very confusing,” complains forum member David, “paying $23 for a box of cartridges is steep even for me. The Pentagon will simply go broke shooting if it equips the army with “mutants.” However, I can advise where to buy cheaper. The Russians."
“This is not a 100% killer Kalashnikov, and not a capricious shooting beauty AR-15,” says TucoMcFly. - This is a mutant. I don’t know about others, even the name confuses me. Before talking about reliability, this must be proven. Somehow the militants didn’t line up at CMMG stores. But what confuses me most about the MK47 is the AR-15 charging system. Everyone will say that it is inconvenient and even burdensome due to the bolt. It seems the guys decided to make good money on simpletons.”
“Too many details,” Mike writes. — The reliability of the Kalashnikov lies precisely in its simplicity, taken to the absolute. The more complex the “gun”, the more failures. Of course, you won’t see this at shooting ranges, but in reality, the “mutant” may well fail. Imagine pointing the MK47 at a bad guy who is threatening you, pulling the trigger and... misfire. The thought that the seller misled you is unlikely to be a consolation. No, I would go into battle with an AK-47.”
For the same rake
Skeptics recall that the AR-15 carbine, designed by Eugene Stoner, was developed based on the findings of the SALVO project (1952-1957). It was then that ballistics scientist Earl Harvey proved that the .223 Remington caliber (5.56x45) cartridge with a 5.5 gram bullet was optimal for the AR-15. At the same time, all other calibers worsen the combat properties of this particular type of small arms. By the way, the 7.62x39 mm cartridge from the AK-47 was also tested. In this regard, Earl Harvey noted that “good for the Kalashnikov is bad for the Colt AR-15. Note that these conclusions were made on the basis of many years and expensive research.
Not the first time
In connection with the appearance of the MK47 “Mutant,” military experts set out to find something similar, where they would also “cross a snake with a hedgehog.” This is not about improvement or cloning, but rather about combining two fundamentally different shooting systems in one system. Analyst Harold Murphy recalled only one case, and it was of unknown authorship. He gave an example of a RIA pistol with automatic action and a short barrel stroke, but with the appearance of a revolver. There, too, they made some tricks with the magazine, making it rotary, and for some reason they placed it in the “drum”. Apparently, the mysterious gunsmith really liked the look of the 1887 Marlin revolver, but he preferred the Colt M1911 action. So I crossed both systems, concluded Harold Murphy.
It is interesting that they learned that such a pistol was being produced completely by accident. The first modern mention of it is in 1958 in the Golden State catalog. Today only one copy of this mutant pistol is known.

Replays
— Improved camera control method (Free Camera/Security Camera).
