Looking at the characteristics of the T-34-85M, it is immediately clear that we have a safety margin typical for the sixth level. As for booking, there have been some changes. The main nuance is the fact that the fuel tanks have been moved to the rear of the vehicle and, thanks to this, the frontal armor of the hull has increased significantly; taking into account the slope, this is very pleasing.

The situation with the turret of the T-34-85M WoT is the same as that of a pumped-up vehicle; enemy shells often ricochet off it thanks to its good thickness from the front and good shape, with rational slopes.

Now regarding mobility, things are worse here too. The T-34-85M tank, although it weighs a little less, has a less powerful engine, which is why its dynamic characteristics are noticeably worse. But the maximum speed is almost identical, and in maneuverability we are superior to our brother. Not the most pleasant nuance is the basic visibility of 370 meters, this figure is 10 meters worse than that of a regular car, but this can be corrected with perks and equipment.

The time has come to talk about weapons, and here all fans of the regular T-34-85 will shed a few tears, because the T-34-85M has a much worse gun; in fact, it is a pre-top gun, the main problem of which is low armor penetration. And if you remember that this tank throws you into battles up to the eighth levels, you will have to carry gold with you.

The one-time damage of the T-34-85M tank is also very small, and even with a good rate of fire, it will not be possible to raise our damage per minute above 2200, this is taking into account the pumped-up crew and the corresponding equipment.

There are also serious problems with accuracy, because the T-34-85M World of Tanks has a very large spread, a long aiming time and poor stabilization. The only positive thing is the vertical aiming angles; the gun goes down by 7 degrees, which is 1 degree better than that of a regular ST.

At the same time, selecting equipment for the T-34-85M is very simple; we need to level out our shortcomings as much as possible, so the choice is obvious: • – without it, our damage per minute will be very deplorable; • – due to the lack of other options, this is the only way to improve accuracy; • – everything is also clear, poor visibility on mobile equipment cannot be corrected otherwise.

As usual, there is some alternative to the last point - in this case it is, which is capable of comprehensively enhancing important parameters, but will not completely solve the problem with the review, so the choice is yours.

Tactics of playing on the T-34-85M

To successfully play on this unit, you do not need to be a professional, because Soviet technology, by definition, forgives many mistakes. However, the fact that the T-34-85M World of Tanks has weak weapons and low dynamics somewhat aggravates the situation.

Taking into account all the pros and cons of this vehicle, we can say that on the T-34-85M, combat tactics are based on what kind of battle you find yourself in. If we are talking about a fight at the top of the list, you can play more relaxed. We should stick to the second line, try to implement our DPM, and here we don’t have to use gold shells, farm and earn silver. When positioned with your forehead and slightly tightening your body, you can even deflect projectiles.

However, when the Soviet T-34-85M tank falls to the bottom of the list or even in the middle, you need to be much more careful. Our armor no longer looks so advantageous, and the gun, even with full alignment, begins to treacherously fail. Don’t be shy about charging the Golda, because this way you will be more useful and again stick to the second line, trying not to be illuminated, not to get hit by artillery or in the sights of higher-level vehicles, choosing convenient positions.

Generally speaking, the medium T-34-85M WoT tank is a real support vehicle, capable of quickly changing flanks and coming to the aid of allies. We play well from the tower, sometimes we tank with our corps, but we shouldn’t rely heavily on armor. Take care of your precious safety margin, shoot at medium distance and only after full aim, and also look at the mini-map.

Advantages and disadvantages

Summing up the first results after analyzing the main characteristics, I would immediately like to say that the Prema’s gun leaves much to be desired, but otherwise this unit is very similar to its brother, although it has a number of significant differences. To more fully present the overall picture, let's give the T-34-85M an overview of its strengths and weaknesses.

Pros: • Good frontal armor for the turret and hull; • Good mobility and maneuverability; • Pleasant elevation angles.

Cons: • Weak alpha strike; • Low armor penetration parameters; • Poor accuracy and stabilization; • A short overview; • Not a preferential level of battles.

Terrible mobility, an oblique cannon with weak DPM (damage per minute) and UVN (vertical aiming angles are a very important indicator). Although the absence of UVN is typical for scoops. There isn't much armor either. Everyone penetrates the hull. At large angles it turns red, but then golda comes to the rescue. The tower is also not the strongest. On gold it is sewn into the cheeks. The only plus is the strong sides. At the fifth level, the best tanks are T1 heavy (heavy) and Stug (pt). Kv2 is probably the worst tank in the game. “Armor” Worse than kv1. Mobility is terrible. The gun is terrible. Oblique, it only penetrates light tanks normally. Again terrible uvn. Gigantic sizes. Vk30 is good, but Arl and Vk28 are better than it. Q4 at the level of Q1. Just as slow. Cardboard tower. Even light tanks can sew a hatch. The forehead of the body is cardboard. The gun is oblique, again lack of DPM and UVN. And again, the only plus is the strong sides. Is4... Still, E50M and 62 are more interesting. And yes, I don’t think it’s important to be upset. She is better than 140, but the lack of UVN does not allow her to become an imbecile. My personal top, which most blitz players will agree with at least with the old 55%+. Level 5: there are two tanks here. Stug and heavy. The Stuga has excellent mobility and a good gun. In some places there is even armor. The heavy one has excellent armor with good mobility and a good gun. Level 6: Arl (Arl44) and vk28. Arl has the best cannon on the level. Conventionally, it is level 8, but I don’t think it would be played normally at level 8. But at level 7 it would play great. Arl is accurate, fast-firing, quick-firing, and also has a high-velocity weapon. In terms of armor, everything is not bad either. The front of the hull is excellent at tanking Tier 6 tanks. The turret is not so good, but it can also tank. Excellent mobility. A good top speed (44 km/h), which it quickly picks up. The VK28 has excellent mobility and a cannon, and in some places it even has armor. You can also add str. Good turret armor, good mobility and level of damage -10. It is clearly better than t34 85. Level 7: t29, tiger1 and chiri. And of course, all sorts of destroyers, but everyone already knows about them. Everything is said about T29 in the article. The tiger has good mobility and a cannon. + there is some kind of armor. Chiri is a shed without armor with poor mobility. But he has a drum with crazy DPM and almost instantaneous discharge (2s). Level 8: prog46 and cent5/1 (many will disagree). The program does not have good mobility. The tower can sometimes be tanked. But the main advantage of the program is the gun. Drum for three shells with system before loading. The program has a pumpable analogue - p44 panther. The cent has tank armor level 10. Titanium tower. They can only pierce it with a Fri, like Isu152, and even then, in rather small cheeks. Not a single tank in the game can penetrate the mask. There's 500mm. And this mask takes up most of the tower. Good mobility. A good maximum speed (for a semi-height heavyweight) and an excellent performance. An accurate gun with a good rate of fire and UV -10. The main (and only) disadvantage is alpha 190. Level 9: k91, waffle and su122 54. K91 has a good drum, not bad mobility, but weak armor. The waffle has good DPM and alpha with good accuracy. Good mobility, but complete lack of armor. Rusk is a level 9 flea. Fast and deadly. Main imba of the level. She has everything except the armor. The gun with the best level in the game is 4200!     It will be interesting for you to play, especially if you already have a well-developed crew with three to five perks, because you won’t need to retrain it. Increased armor will allow you to withstand the impact of single-tier guns, but will not protect you from powerful guns. It will be possible to hold the tank in a slightly diamond shape, but without showing much of your sides. You have a fairly wide choice of tactics. So go for it.
