The history of shackles

Shackles in the Middle Ages
In the Middle Ages, slavery, due to new economic realities, and shackles turned into an instrument of torture and detention of prisoners. And they remained so until the beginning of the 20th century, when handcuffs with a lock came into use, which were more convenient to use and easy to put on and take off. Nowadays, shackles are used in some countries, such as the United States, to transport especially dangerous prisoners. Of course, such shackles are handcuffs, but the full complex limits the prisoner’s movement no worse than in past centuries. Handcuffs for transportation come in the following types:
- ordinary handcuffs that fit on the hands;
- handcuffs attached to the belt in various ways, crosswise, “hands at the seams” and others, to limit the prisoner’s ability to manipulate the lock;
- handcuffs connected to the handcuffs by a chain to restrict freedom of movement when walking, although the prisoner can still take a normal step.

Finish this quest before the battle starts because the gate will lock and you can not get in until the next day. (this is all speculation, i am having the issue right now)

The respawn rates in all of the cell blocks are obnoxiously high when it comes to everything. Unfortunately, this means wading through an army of demons for this quest and Svarnos. But fortunately, it means that usually you'll find that the shackles respawn near-instantaneously, just like the guards! I can usually get all of my shackles in the room with Svarnos, as there's multiple spawn areas there for them, and they come back so fast. Sometimes just 3 or 4 seconds later you'll find a shackle right where you just picked one up. Otherwise, just try and pick one of the small cell rooms or an area near the entrance to reduce the chance of you being overrun by endlessly respawning demons.Oh, and another thing; if you get stuck in combat (which can happen quite often), people are going to steal your shackles, so you might as well do the same to them. I used to never do this, but these quests can be frustrating enough as it is, so just grab your shackles ASAP and get out of there. It's not worth waiting another minute and potentially getting overrun by respawning enemies.

I don't know if this is a change or not, but the gates are locked at the 15 minute warning when it asks you to queue for the battle.I was unable to get out of the block because the gate was closed, so I hearthed out and had to wait for the battle to finish before I could turn in the quests.

This quest is pure hate
.Wow shows so many of it's weaknesses in just one quest:-annoying respawn: It'll be no rare scene that you have to fight at least 5 NPCs before you are able to take a break and regen some hp/mana.-camera view: Since the camera collides with everything that would also block the player it is a constant annoyance in those small rooms all the time preventing that you know wtf is going on around you.-rage towards other players: Yeah like when they steal your loot while you get the mob. And another and another…-waiting for respawn: Just because you need that one NPC that is more special than the others because it's a dog.-Shítty design: Jail closes = you are trapped. Waste your heartstone to get out.-way out: Of course there is no other exit, you get no scroll or item to teleport yourself out. So fight your way back *again* through hordes of demons. Outside you still can't mount up because *surprise* there are also demons. And some more after those.I'll definately never ever do this #$%^ty quest again. It's just so bad, annoying and time consuming that it's not worth it.Rework camera, respawn rate, give me an item to port out of there after the quest is done and we can talk again I say. *eye twitches*
The device of shackles
The shackles consist of massive metal bracelets and a chain. The chain was made large so that a prisoner could not hang himself with it or easily strangle another prisoner or guards. The shackles were closed with a metal rod, which was difficult to remove in the field. In the Middle Ages and modern times, various types of castles began to be used. The bracelet had different sizes and could be adapted to be worn on the arms, legs, and also on the neck. The chain could connect both wrist and leg shackles separately, or combine them into a single system that seriously limited freedom of movement. Shackles could be nailed to walls or floors, and a load or heavy object could be suspended from them. For example, in the penal system of the Russian Empire, a prisoner was chained to a wheelbarrow that weighed almost 80 kilograms. Keeping prisoners in shackles ceased to be practical with the advent of modern prisons. Nowadays, shackles are used only as a fetish object.
