Unique Alpine TPG-1

The Unique Alpine TPG-1 sniper rifle (Taktisches Präzisions Gewehr - tactical precision rifle) was developed in Austria by the Unique Alpine company.

The rifle has a modular design that allows you to easily change barrels and used cartridges (calibers).

During the development of the new rifle, special attention was paid to modulating the design of the rifle in order to create a highly uniform weapon that will allow the shooter to adapt the rifle to his individual anatomical features. Also, the modular design of the Unique Alpine TPG-1 allows the shooter to quickly customize the rifle to suit the specific situation.

The Unique Alpine TPG-1 sniper rifle is built on the basis of a proprietary receiver and bolt group.

The bolt is longitudinally sliding, rotating, locked with three lugs.

The firing mechanism has a fully adjustable trigger.

The barrels are quick-change, fixed in the receiver using one transverse screw. To change the caliber of a rifle, you need to replace the barrel and bolt, and for some calibers, also the magazine.

Chambered for 7.62x51 mm. the company additionally offered a shortened barrel with an integral muffler.

The steel receiver is rigidly attached to an aluminum block, to which a detachable stock with a pistol grip and fore-end are in turn attached.

The rifle is not equipped with open sights as standard. In this case, optical sights are mounted on a Picatinny rail type guide mounted on the receiver.

The stock is plastic, with an adjustable buttplate and butt cheek.

A retractable adjustable support is installed at the bottom of the butt.

The forend has a mount for a bipod.

The Unique Alpine TPG-1 sniper rifle was offered as both a sporting weapon and a police sniper rifle. With specially selected cartridges, the rifle exhibits an accuracy of about 0.5 minutes of arc (MOA).

  • M3 (cheek adjustment).

All stocks have lower swivels for attaching a sling and bipod. The stock is made of weapon grade laminate. Samples of coatings It is possible to manufacture the ORSIS Alpine for left-handed and right-handed people.

Trigger

The rifle is equipped with an original trigger mechanism developed in the company's own design bureau. The design of the mechanism is isolated from external influences.

  • Standard - force 750 g. +/- 150 g.

The rifle is equipped with a Picatinny rail (bases) for mounting an optical sight.

The rifle comes in original packaging.

Trigger modifications:

  • Standard - allows you to adjust free play and force from 750-850 g.

Most ORSIS produced have an accuracy of no more than 0.5 MOA.

¹ Glass bedding

– making a “bed” for the bolt group from an epoxy compound with filler (aluminum or steel). With the help of Glass bedding, a larger area of contact between the bolt group and the stock is achieved and, as a result, less specific pressure on the stock; absence of micro-displacements of the bolt group relative to the stock when fired; no deformation when tightening screws; lack of response to changes in atmospheric conditions, which is a fairly important factor in increasing the accuracy of the rifle.

² Pillar bedding

– insertion of bushings (large in size to reduce the specific pressure on the stock) into the places where the bolts of the bolt group pass through the stock.
