KamAZ all-terrain tractor model 43118 is a durable and reliable truck with which the owner can perform various tasks. It has an acceptable price for the Russian market, is not expensive to maintain and rarely breaks down. When ordering a vehicle from the factory, you can choose to install any add-on.
The price of a new standard chassis fluctuates around 1.8-2 million rubles. When choosing factory add-ons, the price tag will increase to 3-4 million rubles. There are many offers on the secondary market. For a car produced in 2007-2008 you will have to pay 1.1-1.2 million rubles. The price of earlier copies depends on the technical and external condition. Many owners offer rental: 1200-1500 rubles per hour.
KamAZ-4326
The KamAZ-4326 all-wheel drive vehicle was developed by order of the Ministry of Defense. KamAZ 6x6 all-terrain vehicle had the following characteristics:

The cabin received a standard appearance for that time. The cabin had a minimal number of control systems. Unlike its base, KamAZ-43118 received a new power plant, a hydraulic cab lift and a unique chassis structure.
The close arrangement of the platform and the cabin made it possible to increase the former. Its length became 6.1 meters, which is 1.3 meters more than the previous generation. The total length of the transport was increased by 96.5 centimeters. The spare wheel has moved under the frame.
When modernizing the machine in 2010, the main technical characteristics were not improved. The changes affected the design, comfort and the availability of additional control systems for the driver.
Powertrain and gearbox
The buyer has a choice of two power plant options - 300 horsepower or upgraded to 260 horsepower. Both engines comply with the Euro-3 standard. They are powered by diesel fuel. Turbocharging increases power. An intermediate cooling system for incoming air is installed.
Diesel consumption is 33 or 38 liters per 100 kilometers (depending on engine power). Likewise, the maximum speed is 90 and 102 km/h. A 300-horsepower truck, when fully loaded, reaches 60 km/h in 36 seconds, which is considered an excellent result for a vehicle of this class.
There are also two types of gearbox: the classic Kama 10-speed or the nine-speed ZF 9S 131 OTO. Both boxes are mechanical.
Hodovka
The car is all-wheel drive with a 6x6 wheel arrangement. The suspension is made of spring type. It is possible to disable the differential. Special tires were developed for KamAZ-43118. Their design ensures high maneuverability of the vehicle and the ability to transport heavy loads. The permissible load on one wheel is 4,000 kilograms. The car is equipped with an automatic tire pressure control system, which allows you to continue driving even after one tire is punctured.
Cabin
After the changes in 2010, the overall appearance of the cabin has not changed. The basic concept of the Kama plant was preserved. The design of the radiator grille has been changed. The bumper has also been changed: it has become cast, the appearance has changed and is now painted the same color as the cab. Minor additions include new side fairings and changes to the rear-view mirrors.
Optics have become more modern. The side lights, main lights and turn signals are now a single unit. It is built into the bumper. The windshield became solid, which improved visibility.
The salon did not suffer any significant changes. Its arrangement is aimed at simplicity and practicality, significantly different from other modern models produced by Kama. The simplicity of the interior allows the car to be used in harsh conditions.
The updated version received a new dashboard, which is covered with anti-reflective material. The overall quality of materials used to furnish the interior has been improved. A nice addition was the addition of a bed. The heating mechanism was improved, ventilation began to work better. The quality of sound and thermal insulation has increased.
KamAZ-65225
KamAZ 65225 is a heavy-duty tractor, the technical characteristics of which are famous for their reliability, and the 6x6 wheelbase makes the all-terrain vehicle passable and maneuverable. The tractor coupling device has three levels of freedom, the unit is located at a height of 1.8-1.9 meters. The load applied to the coupling device is 22,000 kilograms, the weight of the road train is 38 tons.
Thanks to its characteristics, the machine is used in conditions where there are no roads. The machine is in demand for operation as a timber carrier, pipe carrier, construction tug. The advantage is that KamAZ operates in severe frost and is equipped with ABS and heating in the cab. Steering and brakes
The significance of these units for the operation of the car does not need explanation. The steering of the car is equipped with a hydraulic booster. Power steering:
- reduces the force that must be applied to the steering wheel to turn the wheels and move in the desired direction;
- softens shocks transmitted from road unevenness;
- makes driving more comfortable and significantly reduces driver fatigue when making long marches;
- increases driving safety by allowing you to control the direction of movement of the car if the front wheel tube is damaged (even to the point of rupture).
The KamAZ 4310 brake system, the structure of which consists of four autonomous components that have common elements, can work independently. This:
- working , which in normal mode reduces the speed and stops the car;
- the spare one is designed for smooth braking and stopping the vehicle in the event of a complete or partial failure of the working system;
- parking , which provides braking for a stationary vehicle on a horizontal or inclined surface and in the absence of a driver;
- an auxiliary system or retarder that, when activated, stops the fuel supply.

KamAZ-63501
The vehicle “63501” is an all-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle with an 8x8 wheelbase. An additional axle increases the vehicle's load-carrying capacity, but the vehicle's maneuverability decreases. The machine is rarely used to solve routine tasks; its main application is in the military and special fields. The following equipment is installed on the chassis: missiles, drilling equipment, command posts, etc. The use of the vehicle is directly related to the lack of a way to transport the cargo in parts. In addition, the additional axle increases the vehicle's traction force, which provides an additional advantage.
Modification of KamAZ-63501, the main equipment of the Kama plant, on which four axles are installed. Truck weighing 10 tons, carrying capacity 16 tons. This is the only all-terrain vehicle capable of transporting drilling rigs and construction equipment in off-road conditions.

The Kama Automobile Plant produces special-purpose vehicles. A characteristic feature of the equipment is a small circulation, due to the narrow focus of the tasks performed.
KamAZ – 4326 “Master”:
For example, such a product is the sports modification “4326-9” (“Master”), intended for participation in the Dakar race. The car is equipped with a power plant with a volume of 18.4 liters, a power of 625 horses, as well as a 700 horse engine with cooling and the ability to run on diesel fuel with the addition of methane. The main advantage of the car is overcoming off-road conditions at speeds of over 100 kilometers per hour.
Another representative of special equipment is the Arktika vehicle, which operates in northern conditions. The purpose of creating the machine is the development and exploration of the Arctic zone. This is a vehicle with all-wheel drive and a 6x6 wheel arrangement. The car is equipped with a V8 power plant with a turbine and a manual gearbox. The design feature is an articulated frame, which breaks when overcoming heavy areas, wetlands, or snow cover with a loose surface. The car is equipped with a passenger compartment, which is used for living in harsh climatic conditions; the cabin contains: air conditioning, toilet, shower, etc.
History of creation
The development of transport began in 1992 under the state order of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Departments needed a vehicle capable of moving off-road and performing tasks of various types. The designers were faced with the task of creating a reliable car with a simple design that would withstand any climatic conditions and be easy to maintain.
The KamAZ-43118 is based on the military model 4310. The army modification was built in the 60s of the last century, and the civilian version in 1981, while a global improvement was carried out in 1989. The best was taken from the popular car of the Kama Automobile Plant.
Mass production started in 1995 and continues today. The car is considered the most popular truck in Russia. In 2010, the car was improved: some technical components, appearance and equipment changed.
