Pneumatic pistol Anix A-101 from a domestic manufacturer

Anix A-101 is a gas-cylinder pneumatic pistol with a caliber of 4.5 mm. Designed for shooting 4.4 mm steel balls. The capacity of the magazine, which is located in the handle, is 15 charges. Upon delivery, the weapon is equipped with an additional clip. The gas cylinder is installed in the pistol handle separately from the clip. Shooting is possible only by self-cocking. The external trigger of the pistol has no functional competence and serves a decorative function.

Technical specifications

The pistol has a stated muzzle energy of less than 3.5 J and is not an airgun. This means that he is not subject to the laws relating to the handling of weapons and the circulation of weapons.

Owners' impressions

Feedback from pistol owners is generally positive; the weapon is very accurate, with good accuracy, which can be associated with the peculiarity of the shot, in which the barrel slides onto the chamber. Many owners talk about the high reliability of the weapon. Within the first two years of operation, no breakdowns or malfunctions are noted.

At the same time, everyone pays attention to the tight trigger, this is due to the fact that when firing, it is necessary to set the entire trigger mechanism of the pistol in motion by applying pressure on the trigger. Users do not like the plastic clip; they say that the weapon quickly consumes the gas cylinder, but this impression is deceptive.

The cylinder is nominally designed for 50 shots. In domestic pistols it can be enough for a hundred shots due to the lack of pressure control. Russian weapons, as a rule, have the first shots much stronger than the subsequent ones. Foreign samples, which produced a strictly declared bullet speed of about 150 m/s, the cylinder was always enough for 50 shots. From this feature comes such a quality of Anix as the stability of the bullet trajectory. The amount of gas consumed remains constant throughout the entire shooting series.

There is a user review that a punctured gas cylinder in the pistol sat for two years and did not release the gas. Anix-101 was the first air pistol in Russia with balls fed from a magazine into the handle.

During active use it seemed to me that:

  • the muzzle is too heavy compared to the grip and when shooting you have to keep the pistol from “diving”;
  • the sighting device is of no use - it always misses me by 7-8 hours and it seems to be aimed at about 30 meters;
  • the instructions are written crookedly - a lot of things are not described

These are the first impressions. In general, it’s a good toy. From 30 meters, the clip fits into a notebook piece of paper. I didn’t shoot at Champagne bottles due to the lack of any. I would like to compare it with the Crossman in terms of power. Owners! Please respond!

  1. The clip easily fits 17-18 balls;
  2. It’s easier to load the clip not according to the instructions, but through the round hole on the side by moving it away and fixing the flag.

The system is generally very interesting: the barrel is movable - when you press the trigger, it pushes the barrel forward, and accordingly, the hole in the barrel for feeding balls passes over the magazine. Then the barrel comes off the hook and, under the action of the return spring, moves back, closing access to the next ball and closing the ball supply hole. The barrel hits the CO2 supply valve and unlocks it. The gas pushes the ball out and at the same time closes the valve.

It shoots down only if you press the trigger sharply, otherwise when the ball is already in the barrel it starts to roll out and...

The development and production of air guns is what it was created for. In the early 90s, the selection of domestic air pistols in gun stores was more than modest, and they did not compete with imported models. The merit is all the more obvious, whose very first model of the A-101 air pistol made people talk about themselves in superlatives. With its characteristics, the pistol won over even overly patriotic Americans, who dedicated a detailed article to the first-born of the Anix family of pistols in the specialized magazine US AIRGUN magazine and publication in one of the most authoritative weapons publications, Gun's.

When you first get acquainted with the “Anix”, the method of equipping the pistol attracts attention. The magazine of the “one hundred and first”, like all subsequent models, is inserted into the handle in the same way as in combat models. It was the first air pistol in the world equipped in this way (only this year the pneumatic Makarov appeared in Russian gun stores, which implemented the same scheme). Some complaints, however, are caused by the plastic magazine latch, which after long-term use of the pistol does not provide a 100% guarantee that the magazine will be securely fixed in the handle. The magazine itself is made of plastic and also produces metal magazines, which are more durable and easy to handle.

Durability is one of the distinctive characteristics of the Anix. The body of all models is made of zinc alloy TsAM-4-1 using injection molding. The only external control on the pistol is the safety. The open trigger of the A-101 is a decorative detail; the entire firing mechanism (trigger mechanism) is hidden in the pistol body.

The design of the “one hundred and first” is simple and reliable. It fires steel explosive balls, and only by self-cocking, which determines the long travel of the trigger. When the trigger is pressed, the movable barrel with a load attached to it moves forward under the influence of the sear lever, compressing the mainspring. At the moment when the barrel has reached its extreme forward position, a ball is fed into the barrel from the magazine through the hole in the breech, after which the barrel breaks off the sear lever and, under the action of the mainspring, moves backward, separating the ball in the barrel and the ball in the magazine, and hits the air valve. The mass of the additional weight of the barrel is selected in such a way that the inertia of the barrel moving under the influence of the mainspring is enough to open the valve and fire a shot.

When the pistol safety is on, it blocks the forward movement of the barrel at the very beginning, eliminating the feeding of a ball bullet from the magazine and the firing of a shot.

In the first models A-101 and A-101M, the ball fed from the magazine was held by a magnet from moving in the barrel until the moment of firing and, in addition, was pressed by the next ball located in the magazine. But it turned out that the time from the moment the balls separate in the barrel and magazine until the gas is supplied is hundredths of a second. In such a short period of time, at any position of the pistol, the ball bullet in the barrel simply does not have time to move any significantly. Therefore, it became possible to dispense with the magnet, and a recess was made opposite the lower hole in the barrel for feeding a bullet from the magazine, facilitating a more reliable fixation of the ball.

The implementation of the idea of a movable barrel made it possible to create a powerful pneumatic weapon with a high initial bullet speed. In addition, the number of different seals in the pneumatic circuit of Anix pistols is reduced to a minimum. Along with their overall durability, this makes them quite attractive to buyers.

As for the accuracy of shooting from the A-101, some comments are required here. Any movement of the barrel during a shot negatively affects the accuracy of fire (this can only be combated by tightening the tolerances for the manufacture of mating parts; in addition, it is necessary to select the correct trigger characteristics). Therefore, using a scheme with a movable barrel, the company’s designers allowed for a possible deterioration of this parameter. The fact that no one expected outstanding shooting accuracy characteristics from the first samples is evidenced by the rather crudely made sighting devices (of the “rear sight” type) of the A-101 and A-101M pistols, which were not subjected to additional processing after casting the body. However, practice has shown the need to equip the Anix with adjustable sights, and the following models of pistols A-111 and A-112 received a rear sight adjustable in two planes. Moreover, both horizontal and vertical adjustments can be made simultaneously by loosening just one screw. In this case, the rear sight can move up and down along the inclined platform and at the same time turn right to left. Of course, this is the simplest and most technologically advanced option, but in this case, zeroing the weapon requires care when manipulating the rear sight and may take more time.

The range of pistols includes four models: A-101, A-101M (Magnum), A-111 and A-112. A-101 and A-101M are the first designs developed by . The main difference between them is only in the length of the barrel. The trigger mechanism is mounted on the frame. Both models have non-adjustable sights. A-111 and A-112 were developed taking into account the experience of using previous models. Adjustable sights are included in the design, and a notch is applied to the front part of the trigger guard. The design of the pistol body has been changed. The design of the A-112 pistol allows the installation of a compact laser target designator under the barrel. The operation scheme of the pistol mechanics is identical to the A-101 and A-101M models.

More than ten inventions were implemented in the “one hundred and first”. The appearance of the product, the industrial design and some design features have been patented, and besides Russia, patents have been issued in 13 other countries around the world. The company’s ambitions are also evidenced by the fact that since 1996, Anix has been the only Russian manufacturer to exhibit a separate stand at the largest arms exhibitions in the world. This stand could be seen last year at the 1st Moscow International Arms Exhibition.

When developing the revolver, the designers chose a concept that had already brought success to a series of air pistols. A characteristic feature of the Anix pneumatic weapon is the high initial speed of the bullet. The A-201 and its modification A-201M (it differs only in the increased barrel length) are also among the most powerful examples of short-barreled pneumatic weapons sold in our gun stores. The large drum capacity (30 balls) gives these revolvers an undeniable advantage over other models.

The new revolver is characterized by great overall strength of all parts and the body. When firing a shot, the entire drum is rotated, and not just the clip loaded with balls or bullets, which gives an unconditional resemblance to the action of combat models.

The design of the sights should be noted. They are made more carefully than those of pistols of the “hundredth” and “one hundred and tenth” series. White marks are applied to the rear sight and front sight, making it easier to aim in low light conditions. In addition, it is possible to adjust the rear sight both vertically and horizontally. Unlike the A-111 pistol, the rear sight adjustment mechanisms are independent of each other and make it possible to carry out phased zeroing.

A standard 12-gram carbon dioxide cylinder is traditionally located in the handle of a revolver. There is also a magnet located there, the use of which facilitates the process of loading and unloading the drum. However, both can be done manually, without resorting to a magnet. Shooting is carried out with 4.5 mm steel explosive balls.

When loading a revolver, you must pay attention to ensuring that all cylinder slots contain the same number of bullets. Otherwise, during the shooting process, after one or more drum slots are empty, blank shots will be fired periodically.

The trigger mechanism of a double-action revolver (allows the firing of a shot both by self-cocking and with pre-cocking of the hammer). The very first impression of shooting from a revolver is that the trigger is very uncomfortable. The trigger travel is tight and uneven. Even when shooting with the hammer pre-cocked, significant discomfort is felt. Naturally, this does not have the best effect on shooting accuracy.

Revolvers are available in two versions: with black and light (Silver) body coating.
The design of a revolver is quite complex, and therefore, in case of any problems, it is advisable not to try to fix the breakdown on your own, but to contact a workshop. Q:

Anics 1011M - index “1” means only the addition of an adjustable sight Since mid-November 1999 all

the pistols come with a new valve (the speed has increased by 5-15 m/s). So if anyone is looking for an enhanced version, look at the release date in the passport.

Regarding increasing the speed of the ball, I spoke with the chief designer on this topic. Here's what he said:

  1. You can lengthen the barrel. But up to a certain limit, after which the speed no longer grows. The standard Anix accelerates to 190-200 m/s.
  2. You can enlarge the inlet port (although we discussed this in application to the Izhams) or install a more powerful spring (exactly such tests were done in the Anix). But also up to a certain limit, after which the speed drops sharply due to the formation of “snow”
  3. The easiest option is to ask Anix for a new valve and replace it. (The valve costs, in my opinion, 30 rubles). Plus a stronger spring, etc. - but this is already for Koshevoy.

Buy a valve - no problem. Call 928-9953, 928-9763 or you can drive up yourself (Kurskaya metro station) and buy a valve (ask someone from the sales department on this phone) and install it yourself. Or go to a warranty workshop, where a technician will replace the valve for you. Actually, Anix has one warranty workshop, at Aviamotornaya. Her address and phone number are listed at the end of the passport (I don't remember them :-(

Preparations for the release of a new pistol are in full swing!:-( Caliber - 4.5 mm. The barrel is rifled. There is no speed limit. 7.5 J for a ball is more than 200 m/s. For a bullet it is 170 m/s. The store is accordingly universal (for bullets and balls). Price... I was slightly shocked by the figure that was given to me as an approximate figure. About $100 retail.:-( True, the pistol is truly original... Rather, it is aimed at the Western market. So far, 160 m/s on the bullet and 180 m/s on the ball with soft

descent.
There are options for accelerating the ball to almost 200 with an acceptable
descent.:-) No tests have been carried out on the bullet yet. I won't say anything more for now. It will go on sale no sooner than in six months (i.e. in the summer of 2000):-( While the production/pistol is being tested.

(www.airguns.ru May 2000):

Yesterday I visited Anix to get acquainted with Skif, thanks to the kind invitation of Evgeniy Kuznetsov. I'll try to briefly describe my impressions of the new model.

So, I am holding in my hands a copy with number 14. The pistol is entirely made of glass-filled plastic from DuPont, similar to those used on Glocks. The only metal on the outside is the bolt with a sight, the trigger, and the safety. The pistol is noticeably lighter than the old Anixes and is quite comfortable in the hand. In your pocket, apparently, too :))).

We remove the shutter. Underneath it is a valve (it becomes clear that the trigger does not hit it, but through a system of rods rolls the barrel onto the clip, i.e. the system remains Aniksov), a movable barrel, a clip socket. To remove the bolt, you need to move two levers above the trigger. We close everything back...

The clip and the cylinder are charged separately. The balloon piercing system has become similar to that used in Yumarex, i.e. the cylinder is pricked by slamming the compartment lid.

The clip is removed by pressing one of the 2 levers at the base of the safety bracket.

I look at the clip: for some reason it seemed to me that the bushings for the bullets should be made of hard rubber. But nothing like that - they are plastic. The steel balls enter there with noticeable effort, there is no talk of rolling out. The Skif now has a normal fuse: a flag-type, large one that switches with a slight click. No comparison with the idiotic button on older models. Well, these are all bows, the main thing is to see how it shoots...

We fill the balls, pierce the balloon, shoot from 5 meters at the target. The sight is not adjusted, so everything falls lower and to the right, quite crowded. When shooting, I notice the movement of the clip at the end of the trigger stroke - the barrel rested against the sleeve with the ball. It's a little annoying, but not fatal. The clip works like a clock - no problems.

Initially, the power was not amazing - the ball goes into the pine board to its diameter. There is some work to be done. I didn’t manage to shoot bullets - I never expected that there wouldn’t be any in Anix...

A few words about the trigger: the stroke is large, with slight dips (the parts are not ground in). Better than PM, but not ideal.

Here's a pistol. Compared to the A-1xx, the progress is amazing in almost everything. Now about the sad stuff. The model was shown at an exhibition in Nuremberg, and it seems that Anix will only drive it for export, and for quite a long time. They have a lot of orders and offers to sell production licenses. So don’t expect it in stores soon... The price is expected to be about 100-120 bucks, mass production has not yet begun. In the production model, the shutter will most likely be steel (in the sample it is blackened brass), but it is technologically possible to make it also from plastic - it does not carry any load, and it will be lighter.

It seems that everything that I learned was stated...

Possibility of purchase

The company that made these pistols went bankrupt, so you can only buy weapons secondhand or from unsold stock. The price depends on the degree of wear of the product and ranges from four to six thousand rubles. Pistol magazines also remained on sale.

Pistols are sold not only in gun stores, but also in sports, tourist and any other stores. Due to the fact that the pistol is certified as a product structurally similar to a weapon, it is sold freely and anywhere.

The Anix group of companies has developed a whole line of structurally similar air pistols, these are the series:

  • Anix;
  • Golden eagle;
  • Beret;
  • Scythian.

The manufacturer went bankrupt in 2013. The pistols that were produced in the last months of the company's existence were of extremely disgusting quality, as evidenced by numerous reviews from owners. Despite the cessation of the manufacturer's activities, so many pistols were produced that they can still be found on sale to this day.

Complete disassembly of the Anix A-101(M) pistol:

1. Remove magazine 2 from housing 1 by pressing latch 4 (Fig. 1); 2. Unscrew cover 3 (Fig. 1); 3. Remove the right cover 5 (left) by unscrewing the screws 6 (Fig. 1); 4. Remove spring 7 and latch 4 (Fig. 2); 5. Remove the trigger guard 8, to do this, unscrew screw 12 and knock out axis 9 with a drift no. 1 (Fig. 1). The bracket set also includes axle 6 and spring 7 (Fig. 3). To replace and modify sear 2, remove spring 5 and knock out axis 3 (Fig. 3) with drift no. 1. The bracket is assembled in the reverse order; 6. Remove fuse 10, unscrew screw 15, remove stop 16 (Fig. 1); 7. Remove insert 11 using mandrel No. 1, unscrewing screw 12 (Fig. 1); 8. Application

Pistols were the weapon of choice for the kra-killers, the crow fighters. Armed with powerful air rifles with optical sights, these courageous people cleared the cities of flying beasts. Particularly popular among them was the “Murka” - the MP 512 M (magnum) rifle, which had a reinforced spring and a muzzle energy of about 15 J. They usually shot with a heavy spherical lead bullet. The crow was pierced through from beak to tail.

Pistols served as additional weapons for finishing off wounded animals. They were valued for their unpretentiousness and stable operation in rain or subzero temperatures. Many of the crow fighters who used Anix pistols had several hundred winged opponents to their credit. This activity was put to an end by government repressions against fighters against the feathered threat. Shooting in populated areas began to be considered an administrative offense and subject to a fine of forty thousand rubles. Law enforcement officers exterminated those fighting the threat from the sky.

There are reviews that describe how pneumatics were used for self-defense. The attacker was shot three times in the stomach, two shots in the chest, two shots in the groin and three shots in the head. The enemy only frowned with displeasure and continued to throw bricks. Thus, an air pistol can be considered unsuitable for self-defense.

Posthistory

Further development of the line of pistols were:

  • Anix A-101 Sport with ball speed reduced to 130 m/s and reduced trigger force;
  • Anix A-111 with the same ballistic characteristics and without a fake trigger;
  • Anix A-112 L with a laser target designator operating at a distance of up to 40 m and a ball speed of 155 m/s;
  • Anix A-1001 Golden Eagle with a magazine for 22 balls and a space design.

The decrease in the ballistic characteristics of weapons was undoubtedly associated with tightening control over their circulation by regulatory authorities and the desire to remain in the niche of models structurally similar to pneumatic weapons, which simplified the process of selling and trafficking pistols.

There are enough people willing to buy an Anix A-101 air pistol in our time. This is evidenced by numerous purchase advertisements that appear on weapons forums. All three weapon models are of interest, given that almost all of their parts are interchangeable. Guns cause a lot of discussion among owners. Weapons are criticized mainly by those who did not buy them at the time, but praised by those who have owned them for many years.
