The arms market offers a huge number of air pistols to choose from, although not all of them meet our expectations. Professional sports or airsoft models stand in a separate line.
- Firstly, not everyone likes sports shooting, because for many, a short-barreled pneumatic gun is needed only for recreational shooting on weekends outside the city.
- Secondly, professional models cost a lot of money, and not everyone can afford them.
If you belong to the latter category of shooters, then we advise you to pay attention to the Anix A-3000 LB Skif.

The pistol is supplied in a plastic case lined with foam rubber. This fact distinguishes it favorably in comparison with, say, MPs supplied in cardboard boxes wrapped in paper.

First you need to remove the magazine and gas cylinder, and then unload the gun. Next, pull the bolt frame towards you until it stops and lift the rear part. For convenience, you can also remove the frame return spring along with the rod. To collect it is recommended to cock the lesson. It will be much easier this way.
In fact, complete disassembly is not much more difficult. For it you just need to squeeze out all the pins. The only thing that requires a flat-headed wide screwdriver is the valve block, which can be removed after removing the cylinder puncture mechanism.

Visual inspection
The pistol has a modern appearance; a certain angularity, in my opinion, does not spoil it at all. It fits comfortably in your hand like a glove. The body is made of durable composite, the receiver is made of aluminum alloy. The controls are located on the left side, except for the magazine eject lever, which is on the trigger guard on both sides. On the left are a two-position safety lever and a slide stop lever. The pistol has an open sight adjustable in two planes, something not every pistol can boast of.

By the way, manufacturers claim that the A-3000 is a prototype of the Russian Skif firearm, but they have nothing in common except the name. But the A-3000 copies Nemchur’s Heckler&Koch USP compact one to one.

Stores and tires
The pistol is powered by a 28-local magazine on an operating principle similar to a revolver. The magazine body is made of fairly fragile plastic (a minus for manufacturers); dropping it on the ground, and even more so on the asphalt, is highly undesirable. If you're lucky, the store will survive a couple of such falls, but it's better not to try. In addition, after two or three years of operation (depending on how you use them), the magazines will still have to be replaced (the corners break off, the bullets will not stick in the rollers), fortunately they are quite common and not expensive. True, the price of them varies from 300 to 600 rubles. For comparison, a store for Drozd costs about 3,500 rubles.
If at least one roller stops holding a bullet, it must be replaced, if it is from an old magazine, or the magazine must be changed completely. Otherwise, the dangling bullet catches the wedge. But I can’t find a repair kit for rubber bands. True, my family still holds it well (I’ve owned a pistol since 2004, when I didn’t even know the word “hardball”; I took it as a prize at a shooting range). In general, I try not to store it charged, but sometimes it sits for a week and a half or two with the cylinder impaled and you can still get dirty. The data sheet does not prohibit storing an A-3000 air pistol with a pinned cylinder; manufacturers recommend removing the cylinder only when storing the pistol for more than three months. The cylinder, by the way, is inserted separately from the magazine into the handle. The pricking mechanism is wedge. The cylinder is enough to confidently shoot two magazines, after which there is still gas left, but I change the cylinder - it’s not the same.

Advantages and disadvantages
The first include the following characteristics:
- movable frame and bolt stop;
- long trunk;
- the ability to install additional options;
- flag type fuse;
- tightness of all gaps;
- customizable sight;
- reliability;
- maximum proximity to the combat version.
The disadvantage is that the case is made of plastic; it is quite fragile, so it is not recommended to drop it on hard surfaces. Plastic can also be considered an advantage, because thanks to it the pistol has a low weight and low cost, it starts from six and a half thousand for a new one. The price is several times cheaper.
The vagaries include the following moment, when shooting is done by self-cocking, then if you start to select the trigger, then you need to press it until the end, that is, the shot is fired. But if the trigger is released without firing a shot, the rollers will stand in such a way that it will not be possible to fire the next shot. You will have to remove the clip and correct the “stuck” rollers manually.
What to feed?
Unlike most of its fellow models, the Anix A-3000 Skif is an omnivorous machine. Any umbrella-type (rifle) bullets of 4.5mm caliber can be loaded. Skif does not take only copper-plated balls (bebeshki) and long bullets such as darts. Well, for fun I shoot all types, but on hard only with round heads. The only thing I would like to add is that when buying bullets, you need to avoid bullets with sharp side edges on the heads. This is how I killed the first store. They quickly produce rollers from the inside, literally a couple of packages are enough. After which the bullets do not hold in the rollers, the magazine begins to jam, etc.
By the way, the bullets are inserted into the rollers manually; no loading accelerator or anything else is provided. You have to personally get to know each bullet. The kit includes a punch used for sending bullets into the rollers, but I found one piece of advice on the vast expanses of the Internet. When purchasing a pistol or a new magazine, the magazines need to be carefully disassembled and the rollers turned over. The author of this advice claims that this add-on also adds initial bullet speed, but he has not personally tested it (speed). After this, the bullets fit into the rollers more easily and are easily loaded with your fingers, after practice, almost without looking. By the way, the equipment of Skif's magazine vaguely resembles the equipment of a combat pistol magazine. I agree, on hard, you can’t equip it in battle, but there is a spare magazine (or even more than one).

Accuracy
Due to the use of rifle bullets, the SKIF A-3000 air pistol is more accurate (the barrel is rifled, it spins the bullet, the bullet flies more stable, which the bebeshka cannot provide in principle). Anix 3000 air pistols are available in two versions - A-3000 and A-3000 LB. The second with an elongated barrel hidden in a false silencer. I haven’t shot anything like this myself, but I think it can generally compete with a gas-cylinder rifle. The only thing is that the long barrel is inconvenient to carry, especially when it is an auxiliary weapon.

The body of the pistol is made of plastic, but the bolt carrier is made using powder metallurgy, but this option should not be confused with silumin, which has disgusting strength. The entire mechanism in the body is mounted on pins, thanks to which, using the included tool, the gun can be easily disassembled.
It is worth noting that the manufacturer tried to bring the pistol’s operation closer to its combat counterpart. For example, a double-action trigger allows you to shoot either self-cocking, which ensures maximum speed, or pre-cocking by jerking the bolt frame. Thanks to the latter, shooting accuracy can be significantly increased.
The safety is of a flag type, and in the absence of ammunition, the barrel can be placed on the slide stop.
To pierce the balloon, you just need to press the lever at the bottom of the gun, which makes the task somewhat easier compared to models on which you need to screw in the screws. The piercing mechanism is also combined with a gas locking mechanism.
Separately, it is worth noting the unusual conveyor-type magazine, thanks to which you can use both steel balls and lead bullets.

Movable barrel
Skif's shooting process is also not the same as everyone else's. Usually the firing pin hits the valve in the magazine or in the body, but with Skif the barrel itself moves. When the hammer is cocked, the barrel moves away from the magazine, and when fired, under the action of a spring, it hits the magazine roller in which the bullet is located, and the roller transmits the force to the valve. Thus, at the moment of the shot, these parts are combined into one whole, and the entire portion of the gas is spent precisely on the shot (with MRRs, half the portion of gas flies into the magazine). In this regard, Anix A-3000 is also quite powerful.

Regarding upgrade issues, other than the above operation with stores, I didn’t find anything worthwhile on the Internet, although to be honest, there’s nothing special about it. The Anix Skif air pistol in its standard configuration gives confidently good performance. You can bend the head and remove the play of the receiver a little, but personally it doesn’t bother me.
There is a strap for attaching the laser pointer and TF. I can’t tell you which brands are suitable for it, you have to check it at random. Surely the body kits for the aforementioned H&K USP compact should fit, but I haven’t seen replicas of them, but the originals... The price is the issue, the issue is the price.

On my own behalf, I would like to add that the Skif A-3000 air pistol is not suitable for everyone. For those who like to hammer nails with a gun and open beer bottles, the MP-654 is more suitable. But true fans of air guns will like Skif. I personally have never experienced a failure on hard drive. Teammates are afraid of getting hit by Skif's shot, for which the pistol received its own name - Doctor, because, bitch, it heals (I have a habit of giving weapons names). In general, I am very pleased with the barrel, and I have no intention of changing it for another.
