A list of the best Russian slot machines in 2022 has been published

AK-47 and AKM

Predictably, the first position was taken by the 1947 Kalashnikov assault rifle. The compilers of the rating remind that the strongest designers of that time participated in the competition to create a new machine gun chambered for 7.62 mm caliber: Degtyarev, Shpagin, Sudaev and Simonov. But they were beaten by the then unknown Mikhail Kalashnikov.

The AK, after some modifications, was put into service in 1949. And ten years later, the army received its improved version of the AKM. The machine gun is famous for its simplicity and reliability; it has been adopted in more than 100 countries.

A list of the best Russian slot machines in 2022 has been published

The editors of NewInform have listed Russian machines that can be considered the best in the country in 2022.

AK-9

AK-9 is a project of the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant (IzhMash). The weapon was created for employees of special units of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The AK-9 is based on the design of the “hundredth series” of Kalashnikov assault rifles, and is designed for special 9 mm caliber cartridges (9x39) with subsonic bullet speed (SP-5, SP-6). According to experts, it should seriously compete with such systems already in service in Russia as the SR-3M and 9A-91 assault rifles, as well as the AS.

The design of the AK-9 assault rifle is generally similar to that of the AK-74M assault rifle, differing in the shortened gas engine and barrel components. This weapon has improved plastic fittings; on the bottom of the forend there is a Picatinny rail for installing an under-barrel flashlight or laser designator. On the left side of the receiver there is a standard rail for attaching optical sight brackets. The plastic stock is also made on the basis of the AK-74M assault rifle; it folds to the side (to the left). A quick-detachable shot silencer can be installed on the barrel of the machine gun. The cartridges are fed from plastic clips with a capacity of 20 cartridges.

AK-12

This assault rifle is a promising development of IZHMASH OJSC, which should in the future replace previous versions of Kalashnikov assault rifles - AK-74 and AK-74M, AK-103 and earlier AKM AKMS. The developers plan to create the AK-12 in two versions - a “light” version chambered for traditional intermediate cartridges such as 5.45×39, 5.56×45, 6.5 Grendel or 7.62×39, and a “heavy” version chambered for 7. 62x51 NATO.

The AK-12 received a “classic” automatic with a long stroke of the gas piston and a rotating bolt. To upgrade ergonomic and operational characteristics, the receiver has been significantly redesigned, especially its upper part (cover).

Other features of the weapon include: modified rifling and bullet entry of the barrel, designed to increase the accuracy of fire, and a new muzzle brake-compensator, which makes it possible to launch foreign-made rifle grenades from the barrel. The stock folds sideways, telescopic, and adjustable in length. Also, in addition to the Picatinny rails located on the receiver cover and on the upper handguard, the AK-12 has short guides on the sides of the forend.

A-545

Both assault rifles, the A-545 and the AK-12, underwent full military testing and ultimately entered service. But the models have their own characteristics. The AK-12 was mentioned above. As for the A-545, the main advantages of this weapon include better accuracy of fire, improved ergonomics that meet the requirements of the 21st century, and a higher rate of fire of the weapon.

The developers were able to achieve increased shooting accuracy in Kovrov thanks to the balanced automation scheme implemented in the model, which is considered the main “feature” of Kovrov weapons.

We can say that the A-545 is excellent for solving combat missions in buildings and in urban environments, when it is not entirely clear where exactly the enemy may appear from. Experts also highlight the A-545 sighting devices in the form of a mechanical diopter sight.

AN-94 "Abakan"

The assault rifle was received as a result of a competition on the topic “Abakan”, the main goal of which was to select a weapon that would provide better accuracy of fire with automatic fire from unstable positions (for example, without a rest) compared to the AK. The AN-94 is actually capable of reproducing the accuracy of “twos” fire, which is excellent for all assault rifles in the armies of the world, sending two bullets to almost the same target, with a high probability of ensuring that the target is hit with not one, but two bullets at once.

Taking into account that in current combat conditions, most opponents are protected by body armor, a large amount of various equipment (communication equipment, etc.), and may also be located behind natural barriers, the ability to “get” an enemy with an AK-94 in some cases actually increases.

AN-94 "Abakan"

In second place is the AN-94 Abakan, created in the 1980s with the intention of at least partially eclipsing the AK. The designers were tasked with making it more powerful, with increased accuracy of fire and just as reliable.

The peculiarity of the Abakan is that when firing, the barrel moves back, reducing recoil. In two-round or long burst mode, the first couple of shots are fired at a rate of 1800 per minute. Subsequent ones - 600 per minute.

However, Abakan was not destined to displace AK. They released it in batches too small for the army.

Traditionally, the most powerful, modern and effective equipment is developed and produced for special power units. This is exactly the kind of machine gun complex that was created for the Russian FSB. For a long time the project was classified.

As part of Defexpo India-2018, the original SHAK-12 assault rifle system was shown. This is a very formidable close combat weapon for special forces units. Its caliber is 12.7 mm - the same as that of the widely known DShK machine gun. True, the cartridge caliber is 12.7x55 mm. The length of the cartridge case is half that of a machine gun case, which allows you to shoot from the shoulder and not from an easel tripod. There are a number of other solutions that significantly reduce returns. But at the same time, the destructive power of a large-caliber assault rifle at close ranges is the same as that of a machine gun. The ShAK-12 is an ideal weapon for counter-terrorism and other security operations in populated areas.

Bullets fired from this machine gun at close range pierce brick walls, all types of body armor and hit lightly armored vehicles.

The development of firearms has created a large number of tactical rules that allow you not only to hit the enemy, but also to remain untouched. The ability to move and position your body correctly in space, including behind cover. So there is at least one machine that creates a real meat grinder and ignores established concepts.

Strictly speaking, the ShAK-12 is a large-caliber assault rifle system that uses 12.7 mm cartridges to hit a target. For a second, this is a machine gun caliber. The weapon is incredibly powerful, but can also be relatively stealthy. Its cartridges help neutralize targets behind cover, as well as fighters wearing a variety of personal protective equipment. Design features allow comfortable burst fire from the ShAK-12 even from a standing position, with both hands.

An automatic complex was created by order of the Special Purpose Center of the FSB of Russia. Specialists from the Tula Instrument Design Bureau were poring over the project. The basis for the complex was the previously developed and long-classified ASh-12 assault rifle. Specialized ammunition of a special shape and filling is made for the machine gun in order to increase its stopping effect. Three types of ammunition are known: with a steel core, with a heavy lead bullet, and with a light aluminum bullet. The first is used to penetrate armor, the second is used for covert fire, and the third is used to achieve maximum stopping effect.

The ShAK-12 is powered by plastic magazines with 10 or 20 rounds. The complex includes a huge number of tactical gadgets and accessories that can be installed on weapons to perform a variety of tasks. The machine also has excellent “external characteristics”. It is short, its length is only 672 mm, and light, its weight is about 5.2 kg, which is quite light for a weapon of this caliber. Most of the parts are made of impact-resistant polymer and aluminum.

SR3M "Whirlwind"

Seventh place was given to the Vikhr machine gun, born in the depths of TsNIITOCHMASH in 1994. It was created on the basis of the AS "Val" and is small in size and weighs 2.4 kilograms. Range: up to 200 meters. Special SP-6 9x39mm bullets penetrate body armor from 50 meters.

The most common version of the assault rifle, which gained popularity among special forces soldiers of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was the SR-3M. It differs from the original in its high ergonomics, the ability to install a muffler, metal magazines, and optics. In addition, the new modification has a folding frame stock and a new forend. Small size and fire power enable the weapon to operate effectively on the battlefield.

New weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces

The main expected event for the Russian Aerospace Forces is the serial deliveries of Su-57, 5th generation fighters. According to UAC General Director Yu Slyusar, in 2022 some parameters of the aircraft will be improved.

After a slight decline in military helicopter production, new models will be delivered to the troops: Mi-28SM attack helicopters and two MI-38-T transport and landing helicopters. The modernization of the Mi-26T2V has been announced.

In 2022, the updated “Night Hunters” (Mi-28NM) will also be on combat duty. Their main purpose is to destroy enemy armored vehicles. Over the next 7 years, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive 98 vehicles. A 20-ton attack drone, invulnerable to enemy air defense, is also expected to arrive.

Carbine "Sarych"

And the semi-automatic carbine “Sarych” - the diploma work of gunsmith Alexander Shevchenko - closes the top eight. The weapon is chambered for the .308 Win cartridge using the bullpup system. A compact receiver with a minimally retractable bolt makes the rifle highly reliable; the influence of moving parts on the accuracy of shots is minimized.

“Sarych” is equipped with Picatinny rails, a bipod, and the butt has special cheek and shoulder rests. Interchangeable barrels allow the weapon to be used both as an automatic rifle and as a light machine gun.

With all its advantages and impressive futuristic design, “Sarych” has one main drawback - it remained an unrealized project.

Why Avangard made the whole world talk

The most significant delivery in 2022 is the Avangard missile system, equipped with a hypersonic warhead. Let us remind you: the speed of a rocket during flight at an altitude of 10 km is 30,000 km/h, which makes it invulnerable to all anti-missile weapons known in the world. In 2022, in addition to the Orenburg region, military units in other regions of Russia will also be equipped with Avangard complexes.

New submarines for the Russian Navy

In 2022, after the Kazan submarine, 6 more submarines will be put into service. The greatest attention of the Western media is focused on the longest (184 m) nuclear submarine Belgorod, launched in April 2022. It is equipped with invulnerable Poseidon underwater unmanned vehicles. The American portal The Washington Free Bacon emphasizes that the United States does not have similar weapons.
