The indicators in the table were taken from the SDK. However, they have not been thoroughly tested and therefore may not be 100% accurate.

Cost[edit]

The base price of the rifle is £3500. The price decreases in increments of £350 with each level of the Sniper skill, to a minimum of £1050 at level 6. Ammunition costs £250 per round, £6,250 for a full purchase.

Damage[edit]

The M99's base damage is 675 with a head damage modifier of 2.25.

Important: The Sniper's level of upgrade does not provide bonuses to damage to the body, that is, a level 6 Sniper will deal only 675 damage when shooting at the body, and a Fleshpound will do 337 damage - aim more carefully.

The M99 also has penetrating damage - each subsequent target will be dealt 80% of the damage to the previous one. For example, the third target will receive 675*0.8^2=432 damage.

Options [edit]

The rifle is offered in two calibers: .416 Barrett and .50 BMG. The .416 Barrett version is available with a 32″ barrel and the .50 BMG version is available with a 29″ or 32″ barrel. [8] Barrett also designs and manufactures the QDL suppressor for the Model 99. 360-degree welding on dual-layer heat-treated high-strength alloys makes it the safest big barrel suppressor on the market. Tactics[edit]

• At high difficulty levels, it is better not to go alone with this rifle, since you will not be able to fight off all enemies with only a pistol in stock. But your team really needs you to destroy the Fleshpounds and Butchers.

• Due to the huge cost of ammo (as much as £250 apiece), it is best to spend it ONLY on the most dangerous enemies. Killing weak enemies is only permissible in an emergency situation, for example when surrounded, in order to break through.

• Try to always pick up ammo boxes to save money and avoid buying them at the store. From each box you will receive 2 cartridges.

• The M99 rifle has a piercing ability, so try to line up the mutants in one line to kill as many mutants as possible with one shot. When shooting small mutants, it is not necessary to shoot in the head, but against large ones - Butchers or Fleshpounds - it is better to aim at the head.

• The M99 reduces damage against Fleshpound by 50% on any difficulty. So, a player with level 6 Sniper on Hell on Earth difficulty can kill a Fleshpound with one shot with 2 players on the server.

The Model 99 is a single-shot bullpup rifle that debuted in 1999. Its primary market was long-range competition target shooters, and in 2001 a shooter set the 1,000-yard world record with the M99, shooting a 5-shot group of 4.09. ″. [3] The M99 features rugged construction, 7000 series aluminum alloy extrusion, quality trigger construction, M1913 heat-treated steel rack, match quality barrel, and S-7 tool steel bolt. It has three pins for quick assembly, allowing you to assemble or disassemble without the use of tools. [6]The Model 99 is very accurate due to its heavy contour barrel. With the .416 cartridge, the accuracy and increased velocity compared to the .50 BMG provides greater accuracy at long ranges. The bolt is machined from a single piece of S-7 tool steel. To make the rifle very reliable and easy to maintain, the Model 99 has only three moving parts: the extractor, the ejector, and the firing pin. When shooting while resting on a bench, the lock can be easily released. The trigger mechanism requires virtually no maintenance. [5] The barrel is locked into the extrusion by hydraulic pressure, allowing the user to mount a scope to it. The pistol's steel barrel and aluminum extrusion surround the cartridge, making the firearm safer. [7]

The Barrett M99 large-caliber sniper rifle is designed to combat enemy snipers, destroy their lightly armored vehicles, radars, artillery and missile launchers, parked aircraft, and manpower.

The Barrett M99 (Model 99) is a single-shot, large-caliber sniper rifle developed by .

The M99 rifle is the first single-shot model produced by Barrett. Barrett's previously developed repeating rifles: the automatic M82A1 and M95 with manual reloading, became known throughout the world, and the release of the single-shot M99 rifle filled the “gap” in the company’s product line.

The production of the Barrett M99 rifle was launched in 1999, which, according to corporate tradition, is noted in its name. There is another, unofficial, name for this weapon - “Big Shot”.

The Barrett M99 sniper rifle is made according to the bullpup layout; the cartridge is loaded manually. Before firing, the shooter inserts the cartridge through the window in the receiver and locks it in the chamber with the bolt. After firing, the cartridge case is extracted automatically when the bolt is unlocked. The longitudinally sliding bolt moves inside the receiver along parallel guides and locks the barrel with 15 stops.

The receiver is made of aluminum alloy in the form of one piece. This feature distinguishes the M99 from other Barrett models, as the M82A1 and M95 receivers are made of stamped steel and each have two halves, an upper and a lower one.

The butt plate, equipped with a shock-absorbing cushion made of a special synthetic material, and the trigger mechanism housing are attached to the receiver with transverse pins and can be easily removed to access parts of the rifle mechanism.

The rifle barrel is made of steel, pressed, and has longitudinal grooves that facilitate its cooling. To improve survivability, the barrel bore is chrome-plated. A compensator is installed on the muzzle, standard for all models produced by the company. The design of the compensator allows reducing recoil energy by thirty percent, which has a positive effect on shooting accuracy.

The rifle is designed for shooting from a rest, for which it has a removable folding bipod, adjustable in height. At the customer's request, an additional “third leg” bipod can be installed under the butt.

The rifle does not have open sights. For mounting optical sights, a universal M1913 “Picatinny Rail” is integrated on the top of the receiver. The optical sight, due to the possibility of shooting at long distances, is installed at 10x, with an aiming reticle from 500 to 1800 meters and a ballistic reticle for recommended cartridges.

Barrett Firearms has launched several versions of this rifle, differing from each other in barrel length: - M99A1 - a version with a “heavy” barrel, 812 mm long. A distinctive feature of the trunk is the absence of gutters. — M99A1-1 – “basic” version with a barrel length of 737 mm. - M99A1-25 - short barrel 635 mm (25 inches) long. — M99-416 — this modification is produced for .416 Barrett caliber ammunition (10.5×83 mm). Barrel length 812 mm.

The licensed prototype of the world-famous American-made large-caliber rifle, the Barrett M82 CQB sniper rifle, has been produced by the SOCOM GEAR plant for more than 5 years.

The main difference between the Barrett M82 CQB and the Barrett M107 A1 is a significant reduction in size due to a shorter barrel length. But the weight remains virtually unchanged. Shots from the presented model can be fired in two modes: automatic and single.

You might have guessed before that there was an imbalance in your life, but now you know its real extent. Therefore, don’t even dare complain about your health and quality of life if you score less than 66 points - these are natural consequences of your behavior. If you draw conclusions, you will no longer rely on luck, and life will very soon sparkle with new colors.

Without a doubt, no one wants to suffer and get sick. This is especially true for those born in the Soviet Union. The medicine of the power that launched the first man into space did not inspire much confidence, so people relied on customs and rumors. When I was a child, I was afraid to sneeze again, especially when visiting my grandmother. If a damned speck of dust did fly into my nose, chaos instantly arose around me: everyone was running somewhere, thundering and wailing. Before I could blink an eye, I was already sitting on plastic thorns, like an Indian yogi, with thermometers under my arms. They immediately scraped my throat with poisonous oils, rinsed my nose with salt water, and confusedly recited the Lord’s Prayer. Then you were suddenly suffocating under the blanket from the hot potatoes in the pan in front of you. Having pulled me out of this hell, my limp body was immediately smeared with stinking ointments, covered with mustard plasters and jars were placed, perhaps on my forehead. If you were still breathing, you were wrapped in blankets like a sausage, and healing candles were shoved into your scratched ass, for future use. And here you lie with bulging eyes, and only one thought consoles you: “But when I grow up, I will become an astronaut.”

And this happened in the most advanced city of the country, its scientific center. It’s scary to imagine what they used to treat a runny nose in the outback! One way or another, from childhood you begin to be afraid of diseases and grow up to be a boring character: you play sports all your life, watch your diet, get plenty of sleep, don’t be friends with alcohol and nicotine. Absolutely everyone they know considers you to be the standard of correct life, an example to follow.

In the spring of 2022, I led a sociological study on the streets of Moscow. We wanted to find out how often people experience dissociative experiences during REM sleep. For example: How often do you experience sleep paralysis, false awakenings, and lucid dreams? We interviewed more than a thousand people, and the first data analysis pleased us with the results. For example, these phenomena were characteristic of 88% of people and were completely correlated with each other according to the main hypothesis. At the same time, it unexpectedly turned out that they occurred least often with a sleep duration of 7-8 hours, progressively increasing with a deviation in any direction. It turns out that this U-shaped correlation indicated deviations from normal sleep duration, which the new study confirmed. You will find out later what depressing consequences this leads to, but then this discovery came as a real surprise to me. It turned out that by trying to sleep about 9 hours a day, I was crossing an invisible line that cannot be predicted intuitively. After all, the more you sleep, the better, right? And how can one extra hour be dangerous?

Just yesterday you were confident in yourself and your future, but suddenly you learn about a mistake that can be costly. I wondered: were there other important aspects of existence that had just as easily escaped my attention? As a result, after spending almost six months and looking at thousands of scientific studies, I was literally dumbfounded by my carelessness.

Everyone thinks that you are an example of the right life, but in fact you are walking on the edge of a knife. It turned out that my chances of premature rest under a marble slab were not much different from the chances of alcoholic homeless people. Agree, it’s really a shame when, instead of a boring existence, you could have fun every day with the same result! Moreover, we are talking not only about life, but also about its quality. Habits that are completely innocent at first glance can imperceptibly impair cognitive functions, add tens of extra pounds and completely ruin your taste for life.
