The Boeing 777 is a wide-body long-haul aircraft equipped with two General Electric GE90 turbofan power plants. It has increased passenger capacity and a modern cabin for comfortable air travel.

The Boeing 777 aircraft was developed in the early 90s. In June 1994, it made its first test flight, and a year later its official commercial operation began. The first customer of the new model was the large American airline United Airlines. Today, airliners of the 777 family of various modifications are operated by many well-known air carriers.

In the article we will talk about the features of the Boeing 777 aircraft, list its main characteristics and modifications, consider the layout of the passenger cabin and determine the most comfortable seats.

777 200 ER series overview

Now let's look at the airliners that the Aeroflot group offers to fly.
The Boeing 777 200 ER, the best seats in which we will now look at, assumes a slightly different interior layout. There are three comfort classes: business, superior and economy. The business class cabin has two rows of seats in a 2:3:2 layout. Here the flight will be quite comfortable and is unlikely to cause inconvenience. Diagram of the aircraft cabin used by Aeroflot

The improved seat layout starts in the third row and ends in the sixth line of seats. Moreover, the last block is arranged according to the 2:3:2 scheme. Therefore, in this part of the airliner, it is optimal to choose seats 6A, 6C or 6J and 6L - they are located along the sides of the aircraft. But in general, the advantages and disadvantages of the first rows after the partition are similar to the previously discussed example.

The seat backs of lines 29 and 43 on this aircraft are limited in reclining or the seats do not recline at all. The reason for such inconveniences is not the most successful solution of the designers - the close location of the partitions of the technical blocks.

Seats in the first class compartment of the airliner

Line 30 is located just outside the emergency doors next to the toilets. Accordingly, there is enough space in front of the seats to stretch out the legs, but, again, it is noisy. In addition, experts note the fact that the turbulence of the aircraft is noticeable in the rear part of the board more than in the nose block.

The seats in rows 40–41, marked A, C, J and L, are twins, not triples. For this reason, they can be called a good option for young couples. As for the similar chairs in the last two sections, a drawback can be noted here - its close location to the bathroom. In addition, it is impossible to recline the seats in the last row - they are located almost close to the wall.

Emirates

Boeing 777-300 aircraft have been in use since 1999. Currently, the basis of the Emirates fleet is the improved Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, their number is approaching 130 and continues to grow.

The peculiarity of this board is 8 personal cabins. They are located in the bow of the aircraft and are available to passengers with first class tickets. Along with an exquisite menu, guests are offered pajamas, a cosmetic set and other pleasant little things.

The next most comfortable business class has 42 seats that can be fully reclined to a horizontal position.

Economy class seats are from rows 17 to 50. Emergency exits have 12 places, they are highlighted on the diagram.

The number of seats in the emergency exit row in economy class is 12.

When planning to fly to the islands for vacation or on business abroad, the inexperienced traveler has a question: how to fly safely and comfortably, how to choose the best places. Intercontinental transportation of passengers is carried out by a comfortable Boeing 777 airliner (made in the USA) with a three-row seating arrangement. The aircraft's capacity ranges from 300 to 550 people. The cabin layout of the Boeing 777 200 will help you choose a comfortable seat in the appropriate class so that the flight brings maximum comfort.

The aircraft's flight range is 17,000 kilometers. Boeing modifications 200 and 300 have been operated by world airlines since 1994, during which time they have acquired a reputation as the safest aircraft.

The largest air carriers in Russia are the following companies:

  • Transaero;
  • Aeroflot;
  • Nord Wind (North Wind);
  • Orenair (Orenburg Airlines);
  • S7 (Siberia);
  • Ural Airlines and others.

Using the example of Transaero aircraft, the layout of the seats in the Boeing cabin is shown in the photo. To improve conditions, the carrier modernized the cabin, so the capacity of the aircraft is 323 people. The distances between the rows have been increased and seats have been added. The arrangement of seats on different Transaero ships is different: 2-5-2 or 3-3-3 for economy, tourist, 2-3-2 for business class (groups of two and three seats are staggered).

On Transaero flights, travelers will be provided with:

  • warm blankets, pillows;
  • varied food, drinks;
  • alcohol;
  • travel kits.

Nord Wind airline Boeing 777 interior diagram

Nord Wind aircraft have two sectors with different levels of comfort: business and economy. For a high class of comfort, the Nord Wind company allocates only the first row (for 6-7 people). There are 10 seats in one economy class line - the order is 3-4-3 (see photo). The interior spaces of Nord Wind's aircraft are cramped compared to other carriers (see photo). But the liner carries more passengers per flight - its capacity is 393 people.

Aeroflot airline uses an improved modification. The space of the Boeing 777 300 aircraft (see photo) is divided into 4 sectors:

  • business – rows 1-5 with 2-2-2 placement, located at an angle of 45 degrees;
  • comfort - arrangement 2-4-2, 11-16 rows;
  • space plus – rows 24-37, arrangement 3-4-3;
  • economy - rows 38-51 (up to 46 rubles - order 3-4-3, from 47 rubles grouping is used
  • 2-4-2).

Orenburg Airlines offers the following classes:

  • Business - 14 places;
  • Premium – 34 seats;
  • Economy – 316 seats.

Ban North Wind and Azur airlines

TRASH. These shouldn't be on the market at all. 03/30/2019 were supposed to fly at 20:00 from St. Petersburg to Phuket, 03/28/2019 they present you with the fact that the schedule changes on 03/30/2019 at 18;30 another airport from which it is still 2 hours by bus to Phuket (SAVE ON US) and your seats that I paid for, which is 13,330 rubles, will be additionally canceled and you can pick up the money from the tour operator in a month. Here's Rashka's Soviet service. It is necessary to prohibit the operation of such companies as North Wind, Azur, there are not enough seats on the planes (distance), THE FOOD IS LITTLE AND NOT TASTY. The North Wind company only sells tickets and additional options at the expense of quality. The Germans and Swiss feed and drink much better and tickets are cheaper.

Dry numbers. How many objects are there at the bottom of the Black Sea?

In the summer of 2015, at a depth of 80 meters off the coast of Balaklava in Crimea, underwater archaeologists discovered the remains of a wooden ship that dates back to the Middle Ages. The ship's cargo of amphorae was well preserved. There are hundreds of such finds along the Crimean coast. Many ships are still waiting in the wings, since underwater archeology is a fairly young science.

“According to our preliminary calculations,” says Viktor Vakhoneev, deputy director of the Black Sea Center for Underwater Research, “a little more than 2,000 objects sank off the coast of Crimea.” From ancient times to the end of the Great Patriotic War. Most of them are from the 20th century: these are ships, vessels and aircraft from the period of the First World War, the Civil War in Russia and the Great Patriotic War. The statistics on them are more or less clear, because there is archival data. And all shipwrecks earlier than the 18th century are unknown to us in the sources. But at the same time, every year scientists and passionate divers make more and more new discoveries. For example, in recent years, several shipwrecks from the Byzantine period and medieval times have been found in the Crimean waters at great depths. Of those that have been found, we have examined a little more than a hundred, and a little more than a dozen have been archaeologically studied,” the scientist summarizes.

Evaluation of the best and worst seats in the first and second salons of VP-BJB and VQ-BUD

In the Boeing 777-200ER cabin, the best seats that do not have significant disadvantages are located in the business class cabin. A comfortable flight is ensured by: a comfortable footrest, a good backrest angle, a seat pitch of just over a meter, a large table for eating and an increased seat width (one and a half times wider than in the budget class).

Economy class starts in rows numbered 5 and 6. Pros: no front-seat passengers (which means no one will lower their seat back in front), the ability to hang a cradle for a child during a horizontal flight (therefore, such seats are often assigned to passengers with children in their arms ) and the lack of toilets and kitchens nearby, so the flight here will be more calm. The disadvantages include the small distance to the partition separating the two classes, that is, the passenger will not be able to stretch his legs forward; it is forbidden to keep hand luggage at the feet during takeoff and landing, since there is no holding mechanism in the event of sudden braking of the aircraft.

The advantages of rows 7 to 11 are that the passenger can stretch his legs under the seat in front and place his hand luggage there (if necessary).

Rows 12 and 14 complete the first economy class cabin and are considered uncomfortable, since the kitchen is located nearby, the noise and movements in which will interfere with rest. The backs of the seats are fixed, as there is a partition and an emergency exit at the back.

The second economy class cabin begins from row 20. The advantage is that there are no front-seat passengers. There are many more disadvantages here: there is no opportunity to stretch your legs, the kitchen and toilets are located nearby, the constant bustle among the crew and passengers will create significant inconvenience. Smells from the toilet are also an unpleasant addition to comfort. In addition, queues for the toilet will line up precisely near the extreme seats of this row.

The convenience of the 21st row is only in seats C and H, because there is no seat in front of them and you can stretch your legs completely, but passengers who have gone to the toilet or are simply walking around the cabin to stretch their legs will be in the way.

Due to the lack of individual air conditioners in the luggage compartments above the seats, the operation of the general air conditioning and air circulation system of this modification, the temperature in the cabin between rows 30 and 39 is higher than the standard cabin temperature. And the seats on the 39th row are considered absolutely uncomfortable due to the toilet wall and emergency exits behind the backs of the seats, so they are always fixed in an upright position.

Aeroflot

Aeroflot operates 16 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Full list of boards: VP-BGB, VP-BGC, VP-BGD, VP-BGF, VP-BPG, VQ-BQB, VQ-BQC, VQ-BQD, VQ-BQE, VQ-BQF, VQ-BQG, VQ- BUA, VQ-BUB, VQ-BUC, VQ-BQM, VQ-BIL.

The layout of all Aeroflot aircraft of this model is the same. There are 3 classes: business, comfort and economy.

Below is a diagram and details about the best seats on Aeroflot’s Boeing 777-300 in all classes.

Business class Boeing 777-300ER at Aeroflot

The most comfortable business class for long-haul flights is located in rows 1-5. The total number of seats in this class is 30, they are arranged in pairs (the configuration in each row is 2-2-2).

All chairs are spacious, leather upholstered, conveniently adjustable, have several positions and even fold out into a horizontal bed.

Dimensions of each chair:

  • Length - 195 cm,
  • The width of the double block is 144 cm,
  • The distance between the armrests is 52 cm,
  • The space to the seat in front is 150 cm,
  • Passage width - 42 cm.

Other business amenities: large individual monitors with Thales entertainment system, chef's menu, soft and alcoholic drinks throughout the flight.

Separate business class lavatories are located at the front of the cabin.

Comfort class

There are seats in rows 11 - 16, their total number is 48. The arrangement of seats in a row is: 2-4-2.

Characteristics of places:

  • Seat width - 49 cm,
  • The distance between the seats is 96.52 cm,
  • All seats are equipped with a USB port and socket,
  • 10.6" personal monitors with built-in Thales entertainment system.

Economy

In economy class there are rows 17 - 51.

The best seats in the economy class of Aeroflot's Boeing 777-300ER are Space+, their location is A, B, C and H, J, K on rows 24 and 38, that is, a total of 12 passenger seats. The main advantage of these seats is the increased distance between the rows, you can freely stretch your legs. Compared to regular economy class seats, to fly on Space+ you will have to pay 1000-4500 rubles more or take advantage of the airline’s bonus program offers.

Seats at the beginning of economy are also considered successful - on the 17th row, where there is also a little more legroom.

When choosing among regular seats according to the Boeing 777-300 cabin layout, Aeroflot has a general rule:

  • You should take it from the porthole (A, K) if you are going to get up only in case of emergency or want to enjoy the view (but no one guarantees it - it depends on the time of day and the weather), the obvious advantage is that you will not be disturbed by other passengers who need to get up;
  • At the aisle (C, D, G, H) - you can freely get up without waiting for your neighbors in the row, but this comes with a minus: if the passengers nearby turn out to be restless, you will have to get up and let them through;
  • The worst seats are always considered to be the middle ones: there are no personal armrests (you can only hope for passenger ethics), there is no free access to the window and the aisle. The second option for bad places is near the toilets.

Features of seat selection

When you purchase tickets, you should pay attention to several details:

  1. Do not choose places that are close to business premises. Passengers will be going there all the time, and you will not have the opportunity to rest.
  2. It’s also not worth purchasing tickets for seats in the back of the plane - here the problems already noted are complemented by the inability to recline the seat. Agree, it is inappropriate to choose a seat where the backrest cannot be reclined. After all, being in one position for a long time is very uncomfortable.

When choosing a seat on this aircraft, you should avoid proximity to technical blocks and the last row of seats

Finally, we note an important nuance for beginners. Try to purchase tickets in advance and be sure to consult with an airport employee about the specific characteristics of the selected seat. A printout of the board diagram, which the tourist keeps with him, can also significantly facilitate the choice of seat and protect him from a ruined trip.

The video below shows the standard interior of the new modification of the described model, Boeing 700 300.

Good carrier

I was flying with my family on vacation to the Dominican Republic, Samana province. The tour was purchased from Pegasus, the carrier was supplied by Nordwind Airlines. In principle, there was the only direct flight from him. The flight was strictly on schedule, despite the fact that it was a charter flight. After gaining altitude, we were offered drinks (carbonated/still water, orange, tomato and apple juices). Half an hour later the hot food arrived. There was a choice of 2 dishes: chicken with pasta or buckwheat with beef. All the meat was juicy and appetizing. In addition there was a bun with butter, a muffin, and a salad. Special thanks to the crew! Piloting is great! Special thanks to flight attendants Olga, Anna, Ekaterina! They were very friendly and made contact with passengers. I was very pleased with the flight. Thank you Nordwind.

Badly

We flew with this airline on 02/3/18 Moscow-Bankok. When choosing a tour, we paid great attention to the plane, the flight is long. The documents clearly and clearly stated Airbus A330-200 (new). What in fact????! Old, scary Boeing 777!!! What's next? Before departure, we wanted to put warm clothes (jackets, hats, winter boots) into a storage room, but we didn’t have time (we didn’t want to carry extra cargo, and why do we need them at +30). But 30-40 minutes after the start they began to freeze. They asked for a blanket (there are enough blankets for 70 percent of passengers), and after another half an hour people began to put on everything they could. It was not just cold, but there was also a constant, strong, unregulated speed of cold air blowing (ceiling vents). After numerous requests to do something, the flight attendant finally admitted that nothing could be done during the flight! To the question, what should we do? How can we keep warm? And then another 7 hours of flight, I just shrugged my shoulders!!!!!!!! We weren't just frozen, we were frozen!!!! As we approached Tai, it became warmer (1.5 hours left), people began to come to their senses and take off their hats. I wanted to fly faster and WATER!!!!!! But the water is over!!!!! There was nothing to even take the pill with. And it was shaking almost the entire flight... Thanks to the pilots for taking this plane into the air and, thank God, landing it! Our vacation started with us getting sick! (yes, and I may not be aware of the new thing, but at check-in we were not allowed to choose the most suitable seats) We flew back on 02/18/18. They also changed our plane. Imagine our surprise when we were brought on the same plane! We immediately dressed warmly and took blankets. On the plus side: the stove was repaired (we were not exposed to icy air), the pilots landed the plane well! Cons: I was shaking all the way, the flight attendant who served us (I think I had a short blonde haircut), seeing how she communicated with people, I was scared to even contact her. Let everyone draw their own conclusions. And personally, I have a fear of flying... Thanks to Nordwind.

The best seats on the Boeing 727-200 Nord Wind

Let's focus on seating on the plane. The layout of the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin of aircraft modifications VP-BJH and VP-BJF is arranged as follows: three-four-three, some rows: two-four-two, and in business class - by two seats in each row. The significant difference is that the VP-BJH has only 30 business class seats, while the other has only 6. The total number of seats according to the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin layout is 285 and 393 seats, respectively. This confirms the fact that the Boeing 777-200 can be used for long-distance flights or on routes with decent passenger traffic.

The VQ-BUD, which was used for flights from Vietnam to Australia, the USA, as well as European countries, has a total of 6 business class seats and 387 economy class seats. This makes the cabin layout of the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) similar to that of the younger VP-BJF aircraft, both in terms of the arrangement of seats in the cabin and its intended purpose. The seating arrangement in business class is similar to its counterparts, however, economy class is arranged in a three-four-three configuration, which is one of the worst cabin configurations on a Boeing 727-200 aircraft due to the fact that passengers can find themselves quite cramped.

The best seats on the aircraft in all presented configurations are 5-6, 20-21, 45-46 for VP-BJF; 5-6, 12, 14 (A, C, H, K), 15 (C, H), 33-34 for VQ-BUD; 31.46 for VP-BJH - due to the sufficient amount of legroom during a long flight, but with a significant drawback - possible noise and smell from the toilet. All other seats are limited in space, without a reclining back, in the aisle or next to the kitchen.

Information about the company

Wind began its flight activities in 2008. Ensuring flight safety and good service is a priority. Now North Wind is among the top ten best airlines in Russia.

Nord Wind operates flights from its base airport Sheremetyevo, and in 2022 passenger traffic increased threefold. Currently, the airline operates about 500 flights per week to one hundred and eighty destinations.

The aircraft fleet consists of 21 aircraft, including three B-772ERs. Initially, the airline was created exclusively for charter flights, so the cabin layout was changed from a standard one to a more practical option.

Below in the photo is a diagram of the Boeing 777-200ER cabin. Nord Wind owns two aircraft with tail numbers VP-BJF, VQ-BUD, with 387 economy class seats and 6 business class seats. The VP-BJH aircraft has 261 economy class and 24 business class seats.

Never again!

DO NOT fly Russian/shit/airlines/companies))) In February I was on vacation in the Caribbean. The road “there” went smoothly on 2 planes. The first plane back was 2.5 hours late and I missed the connection, as a result of which I was forced to buy more tickets and travel on 2 planes. Two adults and 2 children. Upon returning home, I wrote a complaint to the “wonderful” airline NordWindAirlines and... tadam!, 3 months later I received an answer. All 4 are entitled to COMPENSATION!!! — as much as 200 (TWO HUNDRED) rubles. TOTAL. Now, I think, they will now go bankrupt because of me)))) I told myself: don’t fly through Russia, don’t!!! No, I decided to try it! The last time it was 15-20 years ago, I thought that the service and attitude towards passengers had changed for the better. But no…

Severe food poisoning

I arrived yesterday 01/05/15 from Phuket on flight 2474 and I want to complain about the disgusting food. I usually don’t eat on a plane, but the flight is long and not overnight, so I ate half a sandwich with cheese, removing the ham. I DID NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT. The poisoning is very strong, now it has become a little easier. I don’t understand why you can’t follow the SANPIN rules, according to which you can’t serve such dangerous products??? For lunch, what killed me in the main meal was the presence of an appetizer with DRESSING!!! This is absolutely not done in flight catering. Why poison people after vacation??? By the way, my friend Ekaterina Glukhareva was also seriously poisoned.

Interior layout

In the process of creating the aircraft for Nord Avia, special attention was paid to customer requirements. According to experts, for this very reason it was possible to create an aircraft that meets all the needs of passengers

Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind interior layout is as follows - Boeing 777-200ER is designed in a unique style. Boeing Signature Interior is a special edition with large luggage racks. The interior has indirect lighting. The width of the cabin (5.87 meters) allows you to fit up to 10 seats in a row. The size of the windows is 380×250 mm.

It is important to emphasize that the aircraft is created specifically for long-distance flights. Modern aircraft often install multimedia entertainment systems

Overall, the Boeing 777-200ER is considered a modern, quiet and comfortable aircraft. The 777-200ER first flew in October 1996. In addition, the company actively competes with the Airbus A330-300 models. Developing their business, specialists decided to create another model: 777-200LR. This is one of the longest-range airliners. The plane can fly up to 17,000 km.

Technical specifications

Natural natural conservation

In the 1960s, the Soviet archaeologist and historian of antiquity Vladimir Blavatsky said that research at a depth of more than a hundred meters would be the most promising. Who, if not him, a researcher of the ancient city of Phanagoria, should know about this. The scientist predicted that with the evolution of technology, scientists will have access to research at great depths. Starting from 200 meters to the very bottom, there is a hydrogen sulfide layer in the Black Sea. It is terribly dangerous for all living things, but for the same reason it is an ideal natural preservative. Only a few bacteria are able to function in such conditions, so the organic material remains intact and intact. These could be the remains of a wooden ship, or ancient papyri or scrolls, for example.

And there are already the first finds: an ancient Greek ship, 2400 years old, was discovered 80 kilometers from Bulgaria in 2018. According to scientists, it looks exactly the same as the day it sank. And this is only the first such find.

— A new stage has arrived in underwater archeology; now we have the opportunity to study ships at great depths with the help of remote-controlled underwater vehicles that are capable of diving to the bottom at 1000 and 2000 meters. Of course, for now we cannot carry out large-scale excavations at these depths, and, probably, this is not necessary, since archaeological techniques are very delicate and incorrect excavations can lead to destruction and damage to objects. But the future is not far off when more advanced tools will appear in the arsenal of marine archaeologists. But in general, today I can state that if we have not yet fully opened the door to the deep-sea world of archeology, then at least we are already looking through the keyhole, and a little through the crack we see those promising objects that are there. This is such a beautiful allegory.

Layout of the basic modification of the side

Today such aircraft are offered by one of the major aviation companies - Nord Wind. The Boeing 777 200, the interior diagram of which is shown in the photo below, is represented here by two airliners. Consider the plan of the airplane.

These are two-class models, where the business class cabin has only 6 seats with a 2:2:2 layout. Thus, out of 58 rows, a single block is allocated for a line of seats with special comfort. The seats here are located at a sufficient distance from the partitions. Therefore, passengers occupying these seats are unlikely to experience any inconvenience during the flight.

Symbol for the best seats in the Boeing 777 200 cabin

The common salon begins from the fifth row. Moreover, there is no strict numbering here - there is no line of seats numbered 13 here for superstitious reasons. In addition, rows 15–19 and 40–44 occupy utility rooms. The interval between the seats of the line is about 74 centimeters, so such planes are considered not very comfortable for flying.

Behind rows 14, 39 and 58 there are emergency exit doors and technical units. Accordingly, the seats on lines 12, 14, 37, the middle section of lines 38, 57 and the entire 58 line are unlikely to be reclinable. And the proximity of kitchens and toilets will not be an optimal neighborhood.

The interior of this airliner can hardly be called comfortable due to three blocks of seats in each row

The 20th line of seats is similar in layout to the 6th row. Here, passengers also look into the partition of the on-board bathrooms throughout the flight. However, experts are not inclined to compare these two options.

Row 20 is very noisy due to constant queues for the restrooms. In addition, there is much less space between the seat and the wall. The only advantage here will be the double seats. The seats C and H of the 21st row have similar characteristics, with the difference that passengers on these seats will be able to comfortably place their legs - the distance to the wall allows this.

The tail section of the plane is generally more comfortable for flying. On line 45, the seats are located only on the sides, and in front of them there is a passage through the emergency exit doors. The disadvantage here is the proximity to restrooms and, as a result, increased noise.

The seats in the central part of the 46th row are completely identical to the similar arrangement of seats in the 21st row. The seats from rows 54 to 56 are also relatively comfortable. After all, in this part of the aircraft the seat layout is arranged in a 2:4:2 format. The last rows are traditionally considered the worst seats on board.

Russia

The layout of air flights is different - there is only business class and economy class without an intermediate comfort class sector. The carrier practices two options for seat placement, a special one for the EI-GET board.

Seats in Rossiya business class on Boeing 777-300/-300ER:

  • 1st row - Super Space seats, the best on the entire flight, 4 seats;
  • Rows 5 and 6 — 14 seats, classic business class.

Business class on board EI-GET - 21 seats, rows 1-3.

Economy class:

  • from 21 to 61 rows;
  • The best seats in economy (with increased legroom) are Space+, rows 21, 36, 49.

The numbering of economy class rows on board EI-GET is from 4 to 49. The best seats (Space+) are located on rows 4, 7, 22, 36.

Depending on the layout, this aircraft has 11 or 12 toilets.

If you have an alternative, don't fly!

I flew with this airline from Sheremetyevo to Cancun and back. Airplane Boeing 777-200ER, business class. The flight to Mexico was delayed a total of 12.5 hours. The ticket was for December 18 at 23:55, then there was an announcement about the departure on December 19 at 9:35, but in the end they took off at 12:30. The paid day of rest is actually lost. The return flight was delayed by 2 hours. The so-called business class has only six seats, separated from the main cabin by a curtain. One of which, apparently not purchased by passengers, was occupied by Dmitry, probably a technician. I won’t vouch for it, but it’s definitely an employee of Nord Wind. During takeoff and landing, he played with his cell phone without interruption, even at the moment when all the flight attendants were seated with their seat belts fastened. Although everyone else was persistently forced to turn off all gadgets. Apparently Dmitry’s phone did not pose any threat to flight safety at that moment. In business class they offer a newspaper, a small amenity kit, a blanket, and a pillow. The seats are comfortable, but the individual light and the flight attendant call button do not work. There are no screens with movies or games, I watched movies on my tablet the entire flight. I was fed several times, the food did not seem fresh to me. A very attentive flight attendant, noticing this, offered tea and cookies. In general, all the flight attendants on board are smiling and attentive. Senior flight attendant Vitaly the boor, who does not believe that it is his responsibility to ensure the comfort of Nord Wind passengers. After landing in Cancun, we waited an hour for the ramp, which was being repaired right on the runway. I would not recommend flying with this airline, unless of course you have other options.

Very bad

Worst flight ever. We purchased business class tickets for 08/21/2018 flight N4 2735 Sheremetyego to Cam Ranh, the day before departure we were told that we would fly economy, since the airline changed the board, tickets were purchased, vacation was taken, we decided to fly economy, at the time of check-in we decided to choose seats more comfortable for the feet, the service turned out to be paid, we pay 3450 rubles per seat. We board the plane and find that all the passengers have been placed in a “heap”, and there are about 100 empty seats in the back. There were 32 passengers like me who purchased a business and flew economy. We ask permission to move to an empty seat so that we can lie down. The flight attendant gives permission, we change seats, the senior flight attendant passes by and, not listening to the fact that we took these seats with permission, orders us to take seats according to the purchased tickets. As a result, 32 passengers, having paid for business class, flew until the end of the flight like herrings in a barrel without the opportunity to change seats to empty seats. Upon arrival from vacation, I contact the travel agency and clarify about the refund for the flight, to which he answers me that the airline does not respond to his letter, but transferred 18,000 rubles. Despite the fact that we were asked to pay an additional payment of 42,000 rubles for a business class flight (one way). Now I am writing a complaint to the airline and hope to receive the difference for the service not received. Be careful when purchasing air tickets

Boeing 737-800

Nord Wind airline has seven Boeing 737 800 wings (the most modern at the moment). All of them had previously flown for other companies abroad. The average age is 7.1 years.* The Boeing 737 800 Wingle Nordwind aircraft has a single-class cabin layout, with 189 economy seats, the pitch between which is about 75 cm. Business class is not provided.

  • 1 row. The legs will rest against the partition, but there are no people sitting in front, so no one will be able to lean back on the passenger. On the other hand, not everyone likes to look at the wall during the flight. The tables are located in the armrests. Nearby there is a toilet and a kitchen.
  • 2nd row, seats D, E, F. There is a little more legroom there than in front;
  • 11th row, place A and 12th row. There are no portholes. For those who like to watch landscapes, these chairs are not suitable;
  • row 15. Emergency exits are located here, so there is a lot of legroom. But hand luggage is prohibited from being placed on the floor (only on the shelf), tables are provided separately and, in addition, certain categories of passengers are prohibited from sitting there. The backrests do not recline - there is a second emergency exit at the rear;
  • row 16 is similar, however, there you can recline the backrest;
  • row 32 is the most undesirable for any passenger. The backrests in it are blocked due to the wall behind the back. There, in the tail, there are two toilets, so the sounds of slamming doors and the flush tank will interfere throughout the flight. A line of people wanting to visit the restroom inevitably forms in the aisle.

Minibus taxi

According to the plan, the departure was at 03:00, but was postponed to 9:00, we warned in advance, no complaints, we weren’t even very happy, because... we don't like to fly into the night

We arrived at the airport, and there nonsense was waiting for us!!! We're flying through Crete! Amazing, right?! So, we got to Antalya in 7!!! hours instead of 3!!!! Coming back is even cooler! A half-empty plane from Samara arrived for us in Antalya, they told us to sit on any empty seats, then we dropped off the first batch of people in Dalaman, picked up a new batch of people there and flew back to Samara! This is how expensive carriers saved money!!! What was happening on the plane cannot be described in words; people couldn’t even sit down with their children! The flight attendants answered me that, they say, it doesn’t matter what is indicated on the boarding pass, this is not your personal seat! Upon arrival, we called the representatives, and they answered: “Tell me thank you for coming!” That's it!!! THANK YOU!!! ) P.S. the plane is some kind of instrument of torture! My husband is big enough to barely fit in! The seats are incredibly hard! This is not nitpicking, this is a real fact!

We flew 2 years ago. Exact...

We flew 2 years ago.
I don't remember the exact date anymore. The flight was almost on time - no particular complaints. The seats were relatively comfortable. There is a lot of space ahead . This is important for us because... we are tall

The chairs themselves are hard and uncomfortable. We had tables with armrests, which narrowed the already not very wide chairs. I couldn’t find a comfortable position during the 4-hour flight. You can also live with this if it were not for the toilets. Our passengers have a custom: after boarding the plane, they must visit the toilet, even 15 minutes after leaving the landing zone of the airport building. And they stand in line, about 10-15 people, and they don’t care about you when they are hanging over you. BUT THIS IS A QUESTION OF BEHAVIOR CULTURE. The most disgusting thing about preparing an airplane for flight is the STINK (that’s right, in capital letters). Are sanitary standards not being observed on airplanes? The flight there was still somehow tolerable, but back 12 days later: it’s generally gloomy here. Only one of the 2 toilets worked. The stench reached such a level that some people simply felt sick. The flight attendants began to run around the cabin and use air fresheners to reduce the smell. And this is on an airplane. Yes, trains have now become sterile compared to aviation. As I understand it, the toilet is an aircraft unit. Planes are not sent into flight with obviously broken equipment. Then why did this plane fly? It turns out that the captain of the airliner doesn’t care about the passengers? As for food, what should I take on a charter? Well, it'll do. Although the Belgorod diet was meager and not tasty. The Egyptians assembled and prepared even better. I would fly with this airline again. NO. only in exceptional cases if there are no other options

Boeing 777-200ER: features and advantages

What else is different about the plane? The Boeing 777-200ER is also a long-range airliner with a wide fuselage, which is a modification of the 777-200 with a higher take-off weight and flight length.

The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft can accommodate from 314 to 440 passengers and fly a distance of up to 14 thousand kilometers. The main purpose of this aircraft is tedious transatlantic transportation, which takes an average of 14 hours.

The first flight of the modification took place in 1996; commercial operation began in early 1997. To this day, the main competitor is the Airbus-made A330-300, which is lighter weight and has more advanced pilot systems.

Nevertheless, in total, more than eight hundred aircraft of the 777-300ER version were sold. This makes this model the most popular in the 777 family among both foreign and Russian air carriers. For example, .

Results

Summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the Boeing 777-200, it is worth coming to the conclusion that the aircraft is quite flexible both to the requirements of the client and to the needs of airlines for any purpose - charter or scheduled.

It should be noted that many companies take these aircraft to meet the needs of their market, but some Russian ones buy them back after operation in other countries. This is evidenced by the layout of the Nord Wind Boeing 777-200 cabin, where the pitch of the economy class seats is within 74 centimeters, and the backrest angle is much less than in similar modifications of other airlines engaged in transportation on a regular basis.

However, despite the disadvantages, the 777-200 remains the most attractive of the Boeing line for long flights, combined with large capacity, the ability to fly autonomously for up to 2 hours with the engine turned off, as well as convenience for passengers of all classes.

The growth of culture as a way to combat “black archaeologists”

Previously, underwater beauty remained a mystery to people: ships sank to the bottom with their cargo, their stories were forgotten. Therefore, people did not know the true value of these objects. Marauders or black archaeologists appeared. The higher the level of culture and education of the population, the fewer historically important objects, on land or underwater, will be damaged.

— Robbery began in our society precisely at a time when the general level of culture in the country was falling, in the 1990s, for example. Now we are undergoing a radical change

Society today or tomorrow will be ready to realize the importance of our work. Here I am in Feodosia, the head of the museum of underwater archeology, and we see right from our contingent of visitors who come, from the questions they ask, that there is progress

If 10 years ago we could see a diver underwater who was just tearing off some piece of metal from a sunken ship just like that, not even for the purpose of robbery, today these main problems have already been stopped. Educational work is a panacea for the destruction and damage of our monuments. I don’t think any other measures, neither administrative nor criminal, will have an impact. “It all depends on what’s in our heads,” says Viktor Vakhoneev.

In Russia, more and more people want to devote their lives to researching shipwrecks and sunken cities. As a response to this, a master’s program “Underwater Archeology” was opened at Sevastopol State University. Master's students have already taken part in an expedition in Syria in the waters of Tartus. Volunteers from Colombia, France and the CIS countries help with local expeditions.
